ObjectiveTo analyze the incidence, etiology and clinical treatment of the impacted maxillary central incisors. Methods A retrospective study was conducted on 29 cases of impacted maxillary central incisors that were randomly selected from the 1000 patients.Age of the patient was ranged from 7 to 23 years with median 11.1 years.Numbers of impacted teeth were 32,in which 22teeth were intraosseous impaction and others were extraosseous. The incidence, etiology, sites and direction of impacted teeth and their treatment approaches were explored in this study. Results Impac tion of maxillary central incisors occurred more frequently in females than in males, with a ratio of 1.0 ∶ 1.2.The ratio of intraosseous impaction to extraosseous one was 11 ∶ 5.The insufficient eruption space of maxillary central incisors was present in 65% patients, but intermediate and severe crowded teeth only accounted for 15%.The incidence of the abnormal site and position of impacted teeth reached 71 %.The clinical approach and solution were surgical-orthodontic treatment, transplantation or removal of impacted teeth.ConclusionsThe main cause is abnormity of teeth in the shape and position. Most of the impacted maxillary central incisors could be moved to the correct position by effective treatment.

Objective To investigate the current status and the related influencing factors of humanistic care quality of nurses in department of aged homes in Guangzhou, for the future to carry out humanistic care education, and provide a reference for improving humanistic care quality of nurses. Methods 270 nurses from 8 department of aged homes in Guangzhou were investigated by convenience sampling and evaluation table on humanistic care quality of nurses. The affected factors were analyzed by multiple stepwise regression. Results The aggregate score of humanistic care quality of nurses in this study was (113.59±9.78),which was lower than the reference score (118.36±16.75) of humanistic care quality of nurses of some general hospitals in Shanghai in 2010,offered by Liu Yuxiao, the designer of the evaluation table. The scores were correlated with 4 impact factors including home, politics status, care index of colleagues, whether to accept the education and training of humanistic care;multiple stepwise regression analysis indicated that care index of colleagues and whether to accept the education and training of humanistic care were the main factors. Conclusions Humanistic care quality of nurses in department of aged homes in Guangzhou was in lower level, and especially caring ability and the attitude towards caring.Department of aged homes should cooperate with universities,to establish a set of training courses on humanistic care quality of nurses in department of aged homes.Through the systematic, standardized training,to improve humanistic care quality of nurses and the quality of nursing service.

Objective To evaluate the application effects of mind map in community health education of rheumatoid arthritis patients. Methods 65 rheumatoid arthritis patients from Shunqing district of Nanchong City, Sichuan Province were randomly divided into an observation group (n=33) and a control group(n=32). Both groups received six-month health education. Health educators utilized mind map for the observation group and traditional health education for the control group. Before and after implementation, the two groups' mastery of disease knowledge was compared. During the period of 1, 3, 6 months, two groups received compliance evaluation respectively. During the study period, a questionnaire was given to the observation group to collect their attitude towards the mind map health education and their evaluation about it. Measurement data was represented by x ± s, using group t-test design information and single-sample t-test. χ2test was used in the count data for compar-ison between groups with test levelα=0.05. Results The scores of disease knowledge were as follows. Before implementation there was no statistically significant difference between two groups (P=0.921);After implementation, the score of observation group was(19.97±3.03), while the score of control group was(17.59±3.11), the difference was statistically significant(t=3.122,P=0.003). The difference of 1,3,6-month compliance scores was statistically significant(t=2.173,P=0.034;t=2.371,P=0.021;t=2.615,P=0.011) with the observation group's scores(18.24±3.44),(18.94±3.25),(19.64±3.06) respectively, and the control group's scores(16.47±3.13),(16.97±3.45),(17.44±3.70). Observation group's attitude questionnaire scores of each project are > 3, and there was significant difference be-tween two groups (P=0.000). Conclusion Mind mapping method can be used in community health education for rheumatoid arthritis patients to help patients master the knowledge of the disease and improve the compliance. Its effect is better than traditional methods.

AIM To study the effects of sera derived from rats administrated Lugu Ganoderma Lucidum (LGL) on the expression of adhesion molecules ICAM 1 and VCAM 1 induced by oxidative low density lipoprotein (ox LDL) and glycated albumin METHODS The expression of ICAM 1 and VCAM 1 on the surface of endothelial cells was detected by endothelial cell enzyme linked immunosobent assay (ELISA) and flow cytometric technique RESULTS The results by cell ELISA demonstrated that the sera derived from the rats administrated 0 12 g?kg -1 p o of LGL did not show significant effects on theexpression of ICAM 1 induced by ox LDL, but the sera from the rats administrated 0 24 g?kg -1 , 0 72 g?kg -1 po for ten days produced significant effects of inhibiting the expression of ICAM 1 induced by ox LDL and the expression of ICAM 1 and VCAM 1 induced by glycated albumin The results by flow cytometric techniques showed that the sera from the rats administrated 0 72 g?kg -1 for ten days produced the same effect on ICAM 1 induced by ox LDL and glycated albumin CONCLUSION Lugu Ganoderma Lucidum can inhibit the expression of adhesion molecules on the surface of endothelial cells induced by ox LDL and glycated albumin.

AIM To establish an efficient and convenient system for expressing functional proteins. METHODS Xenopus leavis females were injected with HCG, eggs were harvested next morning and dejellied by 2% cysteine, from which the Xenopus leavis egg cell free translating system was prepared. Through subcloning technique, TFAR19 gene was cloned to pBluescript SK plasmid which was linearized by enzyme, then transcript and capped in vitro to synthesis the cRNA of TFAR19. RESULTS This cRNA was translated in freshly prepared cell free translating system, the product was identified by Western Blot. CONCLUSION The results showed that this translating system could efficiently translate TFAR19 cRNA and be a very useful translating tool.
