1.The changes of spinal cord pathological and hindlimbs motor function of rats after decompression on chronic spinal cord injury

ObjectiveTo observe the spinal cord pathological change and hindlimbs motor function of rats after decompression on chronic spinal cord injury.Methods 30 Wistar rats were divided randomly into conrol group ( n =5 ),compression group ( n =5 ) and decompression group ( n =20 ),then the decompression group was subdivided into 4 parts as 1 week,2 weeks,4 weeks,6 weeks after decompression.Decompression was made after 30 days of chronic spinal cord copression injury,rats'motor function was detected by inclined plate experiment,the histopathological change,Nissl body and neural cells apoptosis in different spinal cord sections were assessed by the stainings of HE,Nissl and TUNEL.ResultsCompared with control group,the behavior testing showed all rats in compression group presented with weakness of muscle power in their hindlimbs (P < 0.01 ),but the hindlimbs motor functions recovered from the first week after decompression and the difference had statistical significance compared with the compression group(P< 0.01 ).Then the rats hindlimbs functions recovered gradually later on.The staining of HE,Nissl and TUNEL showed that the injured spinal cord section performed no improvement at the first 2 weeks after decompression,the neural apoptosis index(24.31 ± 4.73 )% decreased until the forth week after decompression(P<0.05).The spinal cord segments closed to the injured part recovered in early stage.At 1 week after decompression,lots of Nissl bodys were observed in spinal anterior horn,the neural apoptosis index in the 2 sections closed to the injured part were ( 15.21 ± 4.81 ) % and ( 16.21 ± 3.98 ) %,which declined observably compared with compression group(P < 0.05 ).ConclusionAfter decompression on chronic spinal cord injury,the recovery of rats'hindlimbs motor function in early stage is probably benefited by the functional compensation of the spinal cord segments closed to the injured section.
2.Study on the Part of Anti-thrombus and Its Property from Ground Beetle

Objective To study the part of Anti-thrombus and its property from Ground Beetle. Methods To dispart the Ground beetle into four segments which were shell, head, chest and abdomen, and adopt the method of frozen and melt to do the further test. Result Extracts of shell and chest were not active, extracts of head and abdomen were active. The activity of abdomen extracts was much better than that of the insect extracts. Its active component was glycoproteins. Conclusion The activity of abdomen extracts (Tf) is relatively high, and demonstrates wider value.
3.Effects of different titers of bacteriophage D29 on growth and function of airway epithelia cell 9HTE

Objective To research the effects of different titers of bacteriophage D29 on growth and function of airway epithelial cell 9HTE.Methods Cell viability rates was analyzed after applying high(109 PFU/mL)and low(107 PFU/mL)titers of bacteriophage D29 and phage buffer respectively by MTT colorimetry.Additionally,the secretion levels of IL-6,IL-8 in cell culture supernatant were detected by ELISA.RT-PCR was performed to detect the expression of ICAM-1 mRNA.Cell apoptosis rate was analyzed by flow cytometry.Results There was no difference in cell growth,secretion levels of IL-6,IL-8,ICAM-1 mRNA and cell apoptosis rate between cells treated with high and low titers of D29 and phage buffer(P>0.05).Conclusion Neither high nor low titer of bacteriophage D29 exerts effect on growth and function of airway epithelial cell 9HTE in vitro.
4.Simultaneous Determination of Six Kinds of Phthalic Acid Esters in Human Serum by Gas Chromatography-Mass

Objective To establish a method to determine six kinds of PAEs in human serum simultaneously,and on this basis to understand the level of PAEs in human body.Methods Ultrasonic extraction,gas chromatography-mass spectrometry-selected ion monitoring(GC-MS-SIM) detection and quantitative analysis based on internal standard were used to detect six kinds of PAEs in human serum simultaneously.Finally this method was used in fifty human serum samples.Results The results showed that this method had a good linear relation in the range from 10 to 1 000 ng/ml,and the correlation coefficients of standard curve were higher than 0.999.The average recovery rate and the relative standard deviation(RSD,n=6) of the target compounds in standard-addition blank was 94.5% and 4.4% respectively,the lower limits of detection for DEP,DMP,DBP,BBP,DEHP,DNOP were 0.31,0.85,0.90,0.63,0.88,0.41 ng/ml respectively,and the recovery rates of all samples ranged from 67.98% to 110.8%.Conclusion This method has good recovery rate,reproducibility,lower limit of detection and can be used for the determination of many kinds of PAEs substances in human serum.
5.dBcAMP Induces Morphological Changes of Asrocytes through Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor

Objective To study the signaling transduction of dBcAMP induced morphological changes of astrocytes.Methods Morphological changes of primarily cultured mouse astrocytes induced by dBcAMP were studied by immunocytochemical technique.The signaling transduction pathways underlying those changes were further explored using specific inhibitors AG1478 and GM6001.Results Zn2+-dependent metalloproteinase and epidermal growth factor receptor(EGFR)in astrocytes were involved in the morphological changes of astrocytes induced by dBcAMP.Conclusion dBcAMP-induced transactivation pathways were delineated in the morphological changes of astrocytes.

7.Influence of 3R intensified nursing on patients with vascular dementia from the neuropsychological perspective

Objective To observe the effect of 3R intensified nursing care on the patients with vascular dementia (VD) from the neuropsychological perspective. Methods Sixty patients from the outpatient and inpatient department of cardiology of the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine were randomized into the experiment group and control group according to the random number table. The control group was given routine nursing care and the experiment group was given 3R intensified nursing care for 12 weeks. The patients′ cognitive abilities, daily living abilities and mental capacities were compared before and after the treatment between the two groups. Result The total effective rate of the patients′ cognitive abilities and daily living abilities after the treatment in the experiment group were significantly higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion The treatment of VD patients with 3R intensified nursing care is effective in that it can improve patients′ cognitive abilities, daily living abilities, and mental capacities.
8.Effect of Sini decoction on GST expression in the ischemic myocardium

AIM: To detect the effect of Sini decoction on glutathione S-transferase (GST) mRNA expression in the ischemic myocardium. METHODS: Kunming mice were randomly divided into control group, ischemic group and Sini decoction group. Total RNA was extracted from the myocardium of mice in each group. The effect of Sini decoction on the expression of GST gene was detected by RT-PCR. RESULTS: The expression of GST mRNA in Sini decoction group was significantly up-regulated compared with the ischemic group and control group. CONCLUSION: Sini decoction can promote the expression of GST gene, which may be related to its protective effect on ischemic myocardium.
9.Study on differentially expressed genes in ischemic myocardium and the effect of Sini decoction on them by DNA microarray

AIM: To screen the differentially expressed genes among normal, ischemic and Sini decoction-treated myocardium using DNA microarray.METHODS: Kunming mice were randomly divided into control group, ischemic group and Sini decoction group. Total RNA was extracted from myocardium of each group. cDNA microarray chips containing 2 304 cDNAs were used to investigate the gene expression pattern of each group. RESULTS: Up-and down-regulated genes were 33 and 70 in ischemic group vs control group, respectively. Up-and down-regulated genes were 23 and 52 respectively in Sini decoction group vs ischemic group. CONCLUSIONS: The analysis of gene expression pattern of ischemic myocardium based on cDNA microarray can realize high-throughput screening of the genes. Further analysis of those obtained genes information will be helpful to understand the molecular mechanism of myocardial ischemia and the therapeutic mechanism of Sini decoction.
10.Status survey on humanistic care quality of nurses in department of aged homes in Guangzhou

Objective To investigate the current status and the related influencing factors of humanistic care quality of nurses in department of aged homes in Guangzhou,for the future to carry out humanistic care education,and provide a reference for improving humanistic care quality of nurses.Methods 270 nurses from 8 department of aged homes in Guangzhou were investigated by convenience sampling and evaluation table on humanistic care quality of nurses.The affected factors were analyzed by multiple stepwise regression.Results The aggregate score of humanistic care quality of nurses in this study was (113.59±9.78),which was lower than the reference score (118.36±16.75) of humanistic care quality of nurses of some general hospitals in Shanghai in 2010,offered by Liu Yuxiao,the designer of the evaluation table.The scores were correlated with 4 impact factors including home,politics status,care index of colleagues,whether to accept the education and training of humanistic care;multiple stepwise regression analysis indicated that care index of colleagues and whether to accept the education and training of humanistic care were the main factors.Conclusions Humanistic care quality of nurses in department of aged homes in Guangzhou was in lower level,and especially caring ability and the attitude towards caring.Department of aged homes should cooperate with universities,to establish a set of training courses on humanistic care quality of nurses in department of aged homes.Through the systematic,standardized training,to improve humanistic care quality of nurses and the quality of nursing service.
