Objective To explore the effect of different speed of bladder irrigation after transurethral resection of prostate.Methods 477 cases of benign prostatic hyperplasia,who received transurethral resection surgery were collected.According to the date of surgery,they were divided into observation group(in a single day,249 cases)and control group(double day,228 cases).The normal saline was used in the two groups,and the control group was washed with the conventional bladder irrigation,and the observation group was treated with the early rapid(no speed limit opening)and the routine velocity alternating flushing.The incidence of bladder spasm,the incidence of bladder spasm,the bleeding of bladder and the changes of heart rate and the mean arterial pressure of 24h were compared. Results Urine turned clear time,the total fluid,postoperative 5d red blood cell count of the observation group[(19.8 ± 8.3)h,(44.7 ±6.1)L,(25.8 ±11.3)months/μL]were significantly lower than the control group[(25.4 ±9.0)h, (52.3 ±7.4)L,(33.4 ±10.1)months/μL],the differences between the two groups were statistically significant(t =-6.270,-2.417,-10.459,all P <0.05).The incidence rate of bladder spasm,seizure frequency and duration per capita of the observation group[24.5%,(2.2 ±0.6)times,(15.4 ±4.6)min]were significantly lower than the control group[46.9%,(6.7 ±1.2)times,(27.6 ±5.1)min],the differences between the two groups were statistically significant(χ2 =8.725,t =-13.250,t =-18.066,all P <0.05).The postoperative rinse 1h,2h and 24h heart rate,mean arterial blood pressure had no statistically significant differences(all P >0.05).Conclusion The early rapid and conventional alternating washing method can improve the seizure of bladder spasm after prostatectomy,and reduce the bleeding of bladder.

O bjective Different degrees of oxidative stress may exist in patients with diabetes mellitus (DM).The aim of this study was to explore the roles of oxidative stress and the level of vascular endothelial growth factor ( VEGF) in the development and progression of DM in the rat model of type 1 DM (T1DM). Methods We established the T1DM model in 23 male SD rats and in-cluded another 17 in the control group .We determined the total anti-oxidation capacity ( T-AOC) and the levels of super-oxide dis-mutase (SOD), glutathione (GSH), and malondialdehyde (MDA) by chromatometry, and measured that of VEGF by ELISA. Results At 7 weeks after modeling, the level of fasting blood glucose(FBG) was significantly increased in the T1DM rats as com-pared with the controls ([23.01 ±3.62] vs [5.08 ±0.46] mmol/L, P<0.05); the levels of GSH and SOD were markedly lower (18.8 [0.36] vs [3.82 ±1.05] g/L and [192.06 ±34.57] vs [242.37 ±32.79] U/mL, both P<0.05) while those of serum MDA and VEGF remarkably higher in the T1DM than in the control rats ([4.94 ±0.63] vs [4.42 ±0.37] nmolm/L and [23.97 ±1.84] vs [22.32 ±1.71] pg/mL, both P<0.05);no statistically significant differences were found in T -AOC between the two groups (P>0.05).FBG was correlated positively with MDA (r=0.51) and VEGF (r=0.47) but negatively with GSH (r=-0.71) and SOD (r=-0.40), while serum VEGF positively with MDA (r=0.32) and negatively with GSH ( r=-0.34 ) in the experimental rats . Conclusion Peroxidation is increased and the anti-oxidation mecha-nism weakened during the development and progression of T 1DM, which is closely related to hyperglycemia .High VEGF is associated with hyperglycemia and enhanced peroxidation .

OBJECTIVE:To investigate the efficacies and safety of paclitaxel (PTX) versus Taxotere (TXT) and fluorouracil (5-FU) versus cisplatin (DDP) (PCF vs.DCF regimens) in the treatment of advanced gastric cancer (AGC).METHODS:60 cases of AGC were divided into two groups according to different regimens.The patients in group PCF (n=30) received 35～50 mg?m-2 PTX via ivgtt for 3 hours on the 1st,8th,15th day.The patients in group DCF (n=30) received 35 mg?m-2 TXT via ivgtt for 1 hour,on the 1 st,8th,15th day.Both groups were given 750 mg?m-2 5-FU with continuous infusion administration from the 1st to 5th day and 20 mg?m-2 DDP via ivgtt for 2 hours from the 1st to 5th day with treatment course of 28 d.Recent efficacy and safety were evaluated after two cycle of treatment and long-term efficacy were followed up continuously.RESULTS:Overall response rate (ORR) was 50.0% for group PCF and 46.6% for group DCF.Disease control rate (DCR) was 66.6% in group PCF and 63.3% in group DCF.The median survival time (MST) was 10.4 months in group PCF and 9.6 months in group DCF.One-year survival rates were 35.7% for group PCF and 34.4% for group DCF.There was no statistically significance in recent and long-term efficacy between two groups.Grade Ⅲ/Ⅳ toxicities represented as bone marrow depression,nausea,vomiting and alopecia in two groups.Grade Ⅳ neutropenia and the overall incidence of anemia,DCF was significantly higher than the PCF group.CONCLUSION:PCF and DCF regimens have similar response in the treatment of advanced gastric cancer.Drug toxicity of two regimes are different while both of them are tolerable well.

Objective To assess the value of hepatic venous pressure gradient in the evaluation of early postoper﹣ative hemorrhage after endoscopic esophageal varices ligation (EVL). Methods 120 cases of rebleeding after EVL from January 2014 to January 2015 as subjects. Collect and study clinical indexes such as the venous pressure gra﹣dient, then used logistic regression analysis method to analyze the threshold assessment. Results Drinking, hemor﹣rhage in early stage, bilirubin, heart rate, blood transfusion, child Pugh score and MELD score were significant dif﹣ferences (P< 0.05); HVPG=16.98 mmHg, for the prediction of rebleeding threshold, and in the time of the highest predictive accuracy. Conclusion The hepatic venous pressure gradient has an accurate evaluation value for early postoperative hemorrhage after endoscopic esophageal varices ligation.

Objective To study NF-κB ODN decoy-treated DC on type Ⅱ collagen- induced arthritis(CIA) serum IFN-γ,IL-10 and anti B Ⅱ C antibody and its mechanism.Methods Type Ⅱ collagen induced arthritic rats was established.NF-κB decoy-treated DC loaded with B Ⅱ C from rat spleen were injected to CIA rats via the tail vein at 5 days after the initial immunization.The rats were divided into control group,CIA model group and B Ⅱ C-decoy-DC experimental groups.Forty-two days after the initial immunization,the arthritis scores were determined,the ankle pathology examination were performed and the levels of the serum IFN-γ,IL-10,anti-Ⅱ collagen antibody were determined using ELISA.Results The levels of IFN-γ and anti-B Ⅱ C antibody in serum of CIA model group were increased significantly and IL-10 was decreased significantly (P＜0.05,vs control group).After received with NF-κB ODN decoy inducing DC loaded with B Ⅱ C,the levels of IFN-γ and anti-B Ⅱ C antibody in serum of B Ⅱ C-decoy-DC experimental groups were decreased significantly and IL-10 was increased significantly (P＜0.05,vs CIA model group).Conclusion NF-κB decoy-treated DC loaded with B Ⅱ C had significantly inhibited IFN-γ and anti-B Ⅱ C antibody production and promoted increased levels of IL-10,and had a good curative effect on the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis.

Objective: To study long time aerobic training effect on mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) content and activities of mitochondrial respiratory chain complexes in the myocardium and brain tissues of aged rats. Method: Forty-five rats were randomly divided into three groups Group A(n=15)younger rats did not received training; Group B (n=15) old rats did not received training; Group C (n=15) old rats received gradually training for 90 days. The mtDNA content were determined by methods of Yah erc, the activity of mitochondrial respiratory chain complexes in myocardium and brain tissues were determined by methods of Wu etc. Result: The mitochondrial DNA content in myocardium and brain tissues significantly increased (P<0.01) and the activity of mitochondrial respiratory chain complexes in myocardium and brain tissues significantly decreased (P<0.05-0.01) in the aging control group as compared with those in the young group. The mitochondrial DNA content in myocardium significantly decreased (P< 0.05), while there was no significant difference in brain. The activity of mitochondrial respiratory chain complexes in myocardium and brain tissues significantly incroased(P<0.05-0.01) in the aging training group as compared with those in the aging control group. Conclusion: the long time aerobic training could decline the mitochondrial DNA content and increase the activity of mitochondrial respiratory chain complexes in myocardium and brain tissues in aging rats.

OBJECTIVE:To establish a method for the content determination of L-shikonin in Zilian liniment and evaluate the uncertainty by 2 calculation methods. METHODS:HPLC was performed on the column of Waters C18 with mobile phase of metha-nol-0.025 mol/L phosphate(85:15,V/V)at flow rate of 1.0 ml/min,the detection wavelength was 516 nm,column temperature was room temperature,and the injection volume was 10 μl. Quantitative analysis was conducted for the process and procedures calculat-ed by standard curve method and external standard method,and the uncertainty was evaluated. RESULTS:The linear range of L-shi-konin was 4.024-80.48μg/ml;RSDs of precision,stability and reproducibility test were lower than 2.0%;recovery was 88.5%-93.1%(RSD=2.0%,n=6). Standard curve method was used to determine the content,and the expanded uncertainty was 0.70 μg/ml;ex-ternal standard method was used to determine the content,and the expanded uncertainty was 0.30 μg/ml. CONCLUSIONS:Stan-dard curve method is more economical,more convenient and lower uncertainty in the content determination of L-shikonin in Zilian liniment.

Objective To investigate the content of heavy metals in the seafood from sea areas of Guangdong province and assess the seafood safety. Methods The seafood samples were collected from seventeen representative sea areas and two seafood markets in Guangdong province from April to August 2007. The contents of Cu,Zn,Cr,Cd and Pb were measured by ICP-MS. Single factor contamination estimation in seafood was conducted and the sea food safety was assessed. Results The contents of five heavy metals in fish were below the standard limits for harmless fishery food,and the contents of heavy metals in shellfish were higher than those of fish. The contents of Cu and Zn in some oysters were higher than the evaluation standard of heavy metal pollution for the marine animals. The contents of Cd in chlamys farreri and oysters were higher than the standard limits of harmless fishery food. Except the higher content of Cr in babylonia areolata,the contents of Cr and Pb in shellfish were below the standard limits. Conclusion As for the levels of heavy metals,Cu,Zn,Cr,Cd and Pb,in the fish from the sea areas of Guangdong province is safe for health and but the levels of the five heavy metals exceeded the safety limits in varying degrees in some shellfish.

Objective To observe the influence of ginsenoside Rb3(GSRb3) on ?-aminobutyric acid (GABA) in brain tissue of rats with injury of hypoxia.Methods 20 rats were randomly divided into A, B, C, D and E group. The models of cerebral anoxia in group A and C were made by hypopiesia and hypoxia, and the models of hypoxia-reoxgenation were made in group B and D. 24 h and 1 h before establishment of models, ginsenoside Rb3 was injected peritoneally in rats of group C and D, respectively. The number and form of GABA-like immunoreactive neurons in hippocampus CA1 area of rats after brain hypoxia-reoxgenation were investigated with immunohistochemistry.Results (1)Compared with group E, GABA-like immunoreactive neuron density in CA1 area of group A and B decreased, presented with light staining and absence of prominency. GABA-like immunoreactive neuron density in CA1 area in group C and D was significantly higher than that in group A and B, but the shape was similar to group E. (2) The number of GABA-like immunoreactive neuron in CA1 area was 7.7?2.83 (group A), 10.1?2.08 (group B), 30.9?2.02 (group C), 33.1?4.2 (group D) and 16.9?1.05 (group E), respectively.
