OBJECTIVE:To investigate the clinical efficacy of alprostadil combined with edaravone in the treatment of unsta-ble angina pectoris(UAP),and their effects on serum oxidative stress indexes,the levels of MMP-2 and MMP-9. METHODS:Be-sides conventional treatment,control group was treated with Alprostadil injection 2 ml added into 0.9% Sodium chloride injection (NS)100 ml,ivgtt,qd;while observation group was additionally treated with Edaravone injection 15 ml added into NS 100 ml, ivgtt,qd. Treatment courses of 2 groups lasted for 2 weeks. The frequency and duration of UAP attack,serum levels of MDA, SOD,TAC,MMP-2 and MMP-9 levels were observed 2 groups;the occurrence of ADR was also observed. RESULTS:There was no statistical significance in frequency of angina pectoris attack,duration,MDA,SOD,TAC,MMP-2 and MMP-9 between 2 groups before treatment (P>0.05). After treatment,the total effective rate of observation group (94.3%) was significantly higher than that of control group(81.4%). The frequency of angina pectoris attack and the level of MDA,were significantly reduced,and the duration of angina pectoris was significantly shortened SOD and TAC increased significantly;the change of observation group was more significant than that of control group with statistical significance(P<0.05). ADR was mild in 2 groups;there was no statisti-cal significance in the incidence of ADR(P>0.05). CONCLUSIONS:Alprostadil combined with edaravone is significantly effec-tive for UAP,reduces the frequency of angina,shortens the duration of angina pectoris,alleviates oxidative stress and reduces se-rum levels of MMP-2 and MMP-9 with good safety.

Objective To couple folate with chitosan and prepare folate-coupled chitosan by different connection ratio.Methods The folate-coupled chitosan was prepared by the reaction of the activated folate ester with the amine group on the chitosan.Then the folate-coupled chitosan was verified by infrared spectroscopy.The number of folates in each of the chitosans was measured by UV spectrophotometry.Results Infrared spectroscopy showed that the folate-coupled chitosan was prepared successfully,and the number of folates in each chitosan was approximately 3,10,20 and 30.Conclusion Coupling of folate with chitosan was successful,and folate-coupled chitosan by different connection ratio was successfully prepared.

Objective To study the effect of comprehensive treatment on common peroneal nerve injury. Methods 80 patients with common peroneal nerve injury were divided into treatment group (n=40) and control group (n=40). The treatment group accepted ultrashort wave, modulated medium frequency electrotherapy and electromyographic biofeedback therapy, while the control group accepted medication,acupuncture and excecise. All the patients were assessed with Fugl-Meyer assessment (FMA) in lower limbs before and after treatment.The effectiveness were recorded with MCRR. Results The scores of FMA of lower limb significantly improved after treatment and improved more in the treatment group than in the control group (P<0.05). The excellent and good rate was 80.00% in the treatment group, and 50.00% in the control group (P<0.01). Conclusion It is effective of comprehensive treatment on common peroneal nerve injury.

Objective To observe the effect of electromyographic biofeedback therapy and kinesitherapy on patients with radial nerve injury.Methods 82 patients with radial nerve injury were divided into control group (n=41) and treatment group (n=41). The control group was treated with medcine and acupuncture, while the treatment group received electromyographic biofeedback therapy and kinesitherapy in addition. The radial nerve function was assessed and analyzed by electromyogram (EMG) and motor conduction velocity (MCV) before and after treatment. Results After 12 weeks of treatment, limb motor function, EMG and MCV were better in the treatment group than in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Electromyographic biofeedback therapy and kinesitherapy can effectively improve the limb motor function of patients with radial nerve injury

BACKGROUND: Therapeutic methods for of peripheral facial nerve injury include surgery, physical therapy and drug treatment, but the treatment effect is not ideal in some certain cases. OBJECTIVE: To study the effect of autologous platelet rich plasma on repair of facial nerve injury. METHODS: The bilateral destroyed buccal nerve branches of the 10 white rabbits were put in silica gel nerve regeneration chamber, one side injected with platelet rich plasma as experimental group, the other side injected with normal saline as control group. The general observation, neuroelectrophysiology detection, histological observation, image analysis and evaluation of facial nerve regeneration recovery were performed at 8 weeks after surgery. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: The action potential latency of the orbicularis oris at the experimental side was significantly lower than that at the control side, and the action potential amplitude (M wave) of compound nerve muscle of the experimental side was significantly higher than that of the control side (P < 0.01). Compared with the control side, the regenerative nerves of the experimental side were more mature with more regenerative axons, and the differentiation of myelin sheath was more mature and the thickness of myelin sheath was wel -distributed. Meanwhile, the diameters of axons were closed to the normal diameter, and the nerve axons were more intensive and arranged more regularly, the outer membrane of nerve fiber was thicker and the col agen fiber and elastic fiber layer were increased when compared with the control group. The number of regenerative axons of the control side was less, and the axons were distributed irregularly and poorly developed, and a large number of fibrous connective tissues were observed. The vacuolar degeneration at the control side was more than the experimental side. The regenerated nerve in the experimental side was better than the control side in the diameter of myelinated axon, area, myelin sheath thickness and axon count, and there were significant differences between two groups (P < 0.01). It indicates that platelet rich plasma has a promoting effect in the repair and regeneration of facial nerve.

Objective To investigate the feasibility of applying nanotechnology against M.tuberculosis growth.Methods Chitosan-antisense ODN nanoparticles were prepared by complex coacervation method.Varied amount of ODNs and chitosanODN nanoparticles were added to the cultures and the growth of the bacilli was monitored.Results The nanoparticles were composed of(35.6±0.9)% ODN and(64.4±0.9)% chitosan.Compared to the free ODN,antisense nanopartilces were more effective in inhibiting the proliferation of M.tuberculosis.Antisense nanoparticles decreased growth by(2.8±0.1)CFU/ml at concentration of 4/μmol/L.Conclusion Chitosan-ODN nanoparticles were more effective in inhibiting the growth of M.tuberculosis than free ODN.

Objective To survey the incidence of sleep disorders among patients with industrial injuries and analyze the relevant factors.MethodsA total of 112 depressed patients ( male 106,female 6; aged 22-79 years,course of disease 35 d-25 years) were assessed by a professional psychologist using life satisfaction index A,the type A behavior pattern scale,the Pittsburgh sleep quality index (PSQI) and the Barthel index.ResultsThe incidence of disordered sleep was 40.18％ (45/112),of whom mildly depressed patients were 34.29％,moderately depressed patients 42.86％ and severely depressed patients 85.71％.The incidence of sleep disorders increased with increasing depression severity.The incidence of disordered sleep was significantly higher among the severely depressed patients than among those mildly or moderately depressed,but there was no significant difference in incidence between moderately and mildly depressed patients.PSQI scores among the severely and moderately depressed patients were significantly higher than among those mildly depressed,but there was no statistically significant difference in average PSQI scores between the severely and moderately depressed patients.The sleep disorder group suffered significantly poorer sleep quality and took significantly longer to get to sleep.There were no significant differences in average age,educational level,marital status,social relations,family and social support,gender distribution or course of disease between the two groups.There were,however,significant differences in family income,life satisfaction,character type and disease species between the groups.ConclusionThe incidence of disordered sleep among depressed patients after industrial injury is correlated with the severity of depression,family income,life satisfaction,the type of injury and the patient's character.

ObjectiveTo know about the correlation analysis of the physical and mental status of organ transplanted patients' family members during the patients' rehabilitation period and the long term survival of the transplanted organs.MethodsA total of 600 organ transplanted patients' family members were investigated by Zung self-rating anxiety scale (SAS) and simple coping style questionnaire.The results underwent subsequent analysis.ResultsAnxious state of organ transplanted patients' family members was more severe than that of domestic norm (P<0.01).There were some differences in terms of anxious state of family members with different genders,education backgrounds,income and the resource of medical expenditure (P<0.05).Family members most took positive coping styles,whereas fewer adopted negative coping styles (P<0.01).Positive coping styles were negatively correlated with the anxiety of family members (P<0.01) and positively correlated with long term survival of transplanted organ(P<0.05).However,negative coping styles of family members were significantly positively correlated with their anxiety (P<0.05) and were negatively correlated with long term survival of transplanted organ.ConclusionsThe anxiety generally exists in organ transplanted patients' family members.There are differences in terms of anxious state among family members of different genders,different education backgrounds,income or with the resource of medical expenditure.The more they adopt positive coping styles,the lower anxiety level they show and the longer the transplanted organ survive.Conversely,the more they adopt negative coping styles,the higher anxious level they show and the shorter the transplanted organ survive.

OBJECTIVETo study the chest X-ray image features of patients with severe SARS.

METHODSChest X-ray image features in 36 patients with severe SARS were retrospectively analyzed. The image characteristics were compared with those of 224 patients with common SARS.

RESULTSThe important chest X-ray imaging features of 36 patients with severe SARS included small patch of infiltration (n = 27, 75.0%), large patch of infiltration (n = 22, 61.1%), large area of lung consolidation (n = 10, 27.3%), interstitial lung lesion (n = 26, 72.2%), ground-glass shadow (n = 28, 77.8%), irregular linear opacity (n = 15, 41.7%), diffuse lung lesion (n = 12, 33.3%), with single lung involved (n = 9, 25.0%), and both lungs involved (n = 32, 88.9%). The rates of large patch of infiltration, large area of lung consolidation, ground-glass shadow, diffuse lung lesion and involvement of both lungs in patients with severe SARS were significantly higher than those in patients with common type of SARS (all P < 0.01). Out of the 11 severe SARS patients who died, nine had large area of ground-glass shadow with air bronchogram in both lungs before death.

CONCLUSIONSLarge patch of infiltration, large area of consolidation, ground-glass shadow, diffuse lung lesion and involvement of both lungs were the main X-ray image characteristics of patients with severe SARS. Large area of ground-glass shadow with air bronchogram in both lungs indicated a bad prognosis.

Objective To study the chest radiographic appearances of the non-tuberculous mycobacterial(NTM) pulmonary infection in patients with acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS).Methods Ten patients with AIDS and NTM underwent chest X-ray radiography and 7 patients performed high-resolution CT (HRCT) scan. Chest radiographic features of NTM in patients with AIDS were retrospectively analyzed. Results The chest radiograph showed bilateral pulmonary involvement in 6 cases and single lung involvement in 4 cases (3 cases in the right, 1 case in the left). Patchy air space consolidation (6 cases), large consolidation (5 cases), cavitation (5 cases), small nodules (3 cases),military nodules (2 cases), linear opacity ( 1 cases) were demonstrated on radiography. On HRCT, air space consolidation (7 cases), small nodules (6 cases), large consolidation (5 cases) with cavitation and cylindric bronchiectasis after the absorption of consolidation, enlarged hilar and mediastinal lymph nodes (4 cases), ground-glass opacities (3 cases), military nodules and "tree-in-bud" sign (2 case), pleural effusion ( 1 case), pericardial effusion ( 1 case) and fibrotic band ( 1 case) were found. Conclusion The most common radiographic appearances of NTM in patients with AIDS are bilateral small nodules, large consolidation with cavitation and cylindric bronchiectasis, enlarged hilar and mediastinal lymph nodes.
