Objective To study the disinfection effect of ozone on the natural bacteria in indoor air and the central air condition ductwork. Methods Ozonizer was installed on the outlet of central air condition main pipeline and when it began to send breeze, ozone was taken to each branch piping and each room. Then, at the vents of pipeline and in the rooms, the quantity of the natural germs was examined before and after disinfection respectively. The death rate was calculated. Results After 60 minutes of ozone disinfection, the death rate of the natural germs at the vents of central air condition was 60%-90%, that of indoor air was -40.00%-71.43%. Conclusion Ozone can effectively kill the natural germs in ductwork of central air condition, but when the concentration of ozone is lower and there are people in the room, the efficiency will decrease.

BACKGROUND: Exercise-induced skeletal muscle apoptosis has been referred to as the current focus of sports medicine, and the application of stem cells in athletic injury rehabilitation and prevention has been reported. However, the role of stem cells in cell apoptosis remains unclear.OBJECTIVE: To summarize the effect and mechanism of stem cells in preventing exercise-induced skeletal muscle apoptosis to provide references for scientific sports training and physical activity.METHODS: A computer-based online search of PubMed (1991-01/2009-10) and CNKI (1994-01/2009-10) was performed for related articles with the keywords ""Exercise Training, Sports, Skeletal Muscle, Apoptosis" in English and "stem cells, exercise, skeletal muscle, apoptosis," in Chinese. Inclusion criteria: ① studies on stem cells and their apoptosis in skeletal muscle cells; ②articles in the same field published recently or in the authoritative journals. Exclusion criteria: ① Repetitive articles; ② Meta analysis.RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: A total of 360 articles were collected from the summary of literature through the stem cells and its application in the field of sports medicine research, and its skeletal muscle apoptosis in the changes and development trend of the application. Finally, 31 articles were included, including 21 reviews and 10 clinical or experimental studies. High-intensity exercise can cause apoptosis in skeletal muscle cells, while the use of stem cell technology can prevent apoptosis, to a certain extents by regulating Bcl-2 and Bax protein expression, thereby promoting the early recovery of skeletal muscle.

Objective Discuss the methodology and significance of clinical transfusion assessment,establish an effective evaluation system for blood transfusion,identify rational indexes for the evaluation,and promote quality of clinical transfusion.Methods Development of the clinical blood transfusion assessment regulations,tightened blood transfusion approval system,enhanced medical record check for blood transfusion,better statistics for the data collected,and analysis of data in 2012 to compare changes in blood volume before and after tighter management in place.These efforts aim at improving the assessment system for optimal clinical blood transfusion.Results Compared to Jan.-June in 2012,patients discharged and surgical cases in Dec.of the same year dropped 2.15％ and 0.73％ respectively.However,the volume of blood transfusion decreased 22.7％,the percentage of blood transfusion for inpatients decreased from 8.78％ to 7.17％,and the average use of blood for inpatients decreased from 0.73U to 0.57U.Conclusion Reasonable and scientific assessment for blood transfusion and better clinical blood use management can improve blood transfusion therapeutic efficacy and save blood resources.

Objective To investigate the effects of siRNA against survivin combined with the neoadjuvant chemotherapy (paclitaxel and epirubicin) on the apoptosis in breast cancer MCF-7 cell and reverse drug resistance.Methods Molecular cloning technique was applied to construct the expression vector of siRNA against survivin,and effectene transfection reagent was used to transfect MCF-7 cell.Survivin expression was detected by qPCR and Western blot methods.The effects of paclitaxel or epirubicin combined with or without siRNA against survivin,on the drug susceptibility of MCF-7 cell were detected by CCK-8 assay and that of including MCF-7 cell apoptosis were detected by flow cytometry.Results Survivin-siRNA-2 effectively inhibited the expression of survivin mRNA (0.30±0.03) and protein (0.37±0.09) (P ＜ 0.05).Both paclitaxel [IR 24,48 h =(38.5±4.0) ％,(41.7±6.3) ％] and epirubicin [IR 24,48 h =(37.0±8.6) ％,(40.6± 12.1) ％] can suppress the proliferation of MCF-7 cell and induce its apoptosis,and siRNA against survivin combined with chemotherapy drugs enhanced both effects significantly[paclitaxel IR 24,48 h =(76.0±2.9) ％,(85.1±4.0) ％; epirubicin IR 24,48 h =(74.6±5.6) ％,(82.5±4.8) ％] (P ＜ 0.05).The inhibition rate of MCF-7 was concentration and time dependent.Conclusions Blocking survivin gene expression by RNAi,and combining with the appropriate chemotherapy can significantly enhance the sensitivity of MCF-7 cell to drugs and cell apoptosis.This technology has important potential clinical value in the therapy of breast cancer.

BACKGROUND:Many studies concerning influence of traditional Chinese medicine on animal movement capacity have been conducted.However,studies on the improvement of exercise capacity by traditional Chinese medicine are few,especially comparisons among traditional Chinese medicineOBJECTIVE:To explore the influence of different traditional Chinese medicine preparations on the exercise capacity in mice to screen compound preparations with precise effects.METHOD:A total of 80 8-week-old pure male Kunming mice were randomly assigned to 8 groups(n=10):control and compound 1-7 groups.There were no significant differences in body mass of all groups The compound 1 comprised Xuejie and Shexiang;compound 2 comprised Qingui,Baizhu and Baishao;compound 3 comprised Baizhu,Baizhi and Sanqi;compound 4 comprised Baizhi,Ruxiang,Danggui and Radix glycryrrhizae;compound 5 comprised Guiwei;compound 6 comprised Sichuan Honghua and Danshen;compound 7 comprised Danggui and Shexiang.Of the 7 prescriptions,compound 1-5 were empirical formula,compound 6 was common medicine used during training,and compound 7 was prescription of traditional Chinese medicine The 7 compound groupswere respectivelytreatedwith 1.17,0.78,0.78,1.17,7.02,5.53,and 11.70 g/kg per day for 4 weeks,and control group was intragastrically infused with normal saline.From day 4 to 6,load-free swimming training was performed 20 minutes a day for 3 days,followed by swimming for 6 days a week after 1 day of rest.The intensity was gradually increased frOm 30 minutes per day by 10 minutes per day for 2 hours,followed by loading swimming with load of 2%of the body mass,increased by 1%per day until the final experiment.During the entire procedure,a great intensity swimming training was performed every week to make the mice exhausted.Mice training and serum creatine kinase and lactate dehydrogenase 4 weeks following treatment were observed.RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:A total of 80 mice were included in the final analysis The compounds showed little influence on mice body mass;the compound 2 and compound 6 groups had longest exhaustive time All compounds inhibited serum creatine kinase activity following exercise,in particular compound 6 and 2(P＜0.05).Compared with control group,the serum lactate dehydrogenase activity of each compound group was decreased,in particular,compound 2 and 6 groups showed significant differences(P＜0.05).Compound 2 and 6 significantly enhanced the exercise capacity of mice and delayed injury of body.The mechanism may highly relate to components in the compounds,Danggui,Sichuan Honghua and Danshen.

Objective:To explore the relationship between human papilloma virus (HPV)-DNA and cytomegalovirus (CMV)-DNA virus content and the risk factors of endometrial cancer (EC) and their prediction models.Methods:Fifty-eight patients with EC from January 2017 to June 2020 in Suzhou Hospital Affiliated to Anhui Medical University were selected as the observation group, and 58 patients with endometrial hyperplasia (EH) during the same period were selected as the control group according to the 1∶1 matching case control principle. The clinical data, HPV-DNA, CMV-DNA positive rate and virus content of the two groups were compared, and the independent variables with P<0.05 were included in the Logistic regression model through single factor analysis. The risk factors of EC were analyzed, and the correlation between HPV-DNA, CMV-DNA and EC risk factors were evaluated. Logistic regression model was evaluated using the likelihood ratio chi-square and goodness-of-fit test, and the receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve was used to analyze the predictive value of the model to EC. Results:The proportion of patients with age ≥ 55 years old, body mass index (BMI)≥ 24 kg/m 2, a history of hypertension and diabetes, malignant tumor family history and hormone replacement therapy history in the observation group were higher than those in the control group: 72.41%(42/58) vs. 39.66%(23/58),70.69% (41/58) vs. 43.10%(25/58), 36.21%(21/58) vs. 10.34%(6/58), 31.03%(18/58) vs. 8.62%(5/58),29.31%(17/58) vs. 5.17%(3/58), 27.93%(17/58) vs. 8.62%(5/58), and the differences were statistically significant ( P<0.05). The positive rates of HPV and CMV, the contents of HPV-DNA and CMV-DNA in the observation group were higher than those in the control group: 62.07%(36/58) vs. 29.31%(17/58),81.03%(47/58) vs. 41.38%(24/58), (471.16 ± 33.58) copies/ml vs. (240.08 ± 17.41) copies/ml, (256.19 ± 24.77) copies/ml vs. (132.27 ± 13.20) copies/ml, the differences were statistically significant ( P<0.05). Age ≥ 55 years, BMI ≥ 24 kg/m 2, history of hypertension and diabetes, family history of malignant tumors, history of hormone replacement therapy, HPV positive, CMV positive were risk factors for EC ( P<0.05). HPV-DNA virus content was positively correlated with the age of EC patients, family history of malignant tumors, and history of diabetes ( P<0.05), the viral content of CMV-DNA was positively correlated with age, family history of malignant tumors, and history of hypertension ( P<0.05). According to the ROC curve drawn by the predicted value and the true value of the Logistic regression model, the area under the curve was 0.930 (95% CI 0.885 - 0.976), when the predictive probability of individual nosocomial infection>0.528, the prediction sensitivity was 84.48%, and the specificity was 89.66%. Conclusions:The occurrence of EC is related to many factors, and the content of HPV-DNA and CMV-DNA viruses are the risk factors of its occurrence. The overall predictive value of a Logistic regression model constructed based on EC pathological characteristics and the virus content of HPV-DNA and CMV-DNA is high, and it has clinical application prospects.
