Objective To investigate the relatiouship between obsessive-compulsive symptoms and schizophreuia symptoms in schizo-obsessive patients, and to address the feature of insight. Methods Fifty-two cases of schizophrenia with obsessive-compulsive symptoms were assessed by Yale-Brown obsessive-compulsive scale( YBOCS) and positive and negative syndrome scale(PANSS). Results The Y-BOCS overall severity score(26.7 ±4.78)was not correlated with the PANSS total score(86.9 ± 13.4)( r=0. 191 , P＞0.05), there was significant association between the insight score( 2.65 ±0.81 )and the PANSS total score( 86. 9 ± 13.4 ) ( r = 0. 416, P＜0. 01 ),and the same between the insight score( 2.65 ± 0. 81 )and the Y-BOCS overall severity score(26.7 ±4.78 ) ( r = 0. 387, P ＜ 0. 01 ). Conclusion Obsessive-compulsive symptoms and schizophrenia symptoms in schizo-obsessive patients are not correlated, obsessive-compulsive symptoms are not inherent symptoms of schizophrenia. As insight is correlated with both obsessive-compulsive symptoms and schizophrenia symptoms, anti-psychotic along with anti-compulsive treatment should be able to effectively improve the insight of schizo-obsessive patients.

OBJECTIVE:To observe therapeutic efficacy and safety of Zhenqi fuzheng granules in the adjunctive treatment of cervical cancer. METHODS:86 patients with cervical cancer were randomly divided into control group(43 cases)and observation group (43 cases). Control group was given intravenous dripping of Diphenhydramine hydrochloride injection 20 mg,Granisetron hydrochloride and glucose injection 5 mg,Cimetidine injection 20 mg at 0.5 h before chemotherapy. After 0.5 h of intravenous drip-ping,the patients received chemotherapy:Docetaxel injection 40 mg/m2,d1,d8,intravenous dripping;Cisplatin for injection 25 mg/m2,d1-3,intravenous dripping;21 d as a cycle,a total of 4-6 cycles. On the basis of control group,observation group was addi-tionally given Zhenqi fuzheng granules 5 g,twice 2 day. Clinical efficacies of 2 groups were observed as well as T cell subsets in-dexes [CD3+,CD4+,CD8+,natural killer cell(NK)],KPS scores,termination,terminal time,the times of chemotherapy and the oc-currence of toxic reaction before and after treatment. RESULTS:The total remission rate of observation group was significantly higher than that of control group;the proportion of termination of chemotherapy in observation group was significantly lower than control group;terminal time of chemotherapy was significantly shorter than control group;the times of chemotherapy was signifi-cantly more than control group;the incidence of gastrointestinal reaction,anemia,thrombocytopenia and leukopenia were signifi-cantly lower than control group,with statistical significance(P<0.05). There was no statistical significance in liver function dam-age,renal function injury and stomatitis between 2 groups (P>0.05). Before treatment,there was no statistical significance in T cell subsets indexes and KPS scores between 2 groups(P>0.05). After treatment,CD3+,CD4+ and NK cells in observation group were significantly higher than before treatment and control group,while CD8+ was significantly lower than before treatment and control group;KPS scores of 2 groups were significantly higher than before,and the observation group was significantly higher than the control group,with statistical significance(P<0.05). There was no statistical significance in T cell subsets indexes of con-trol group before and after treatment(P>0.05). CONCLUSIONS:On the basis of routine treatment,Zhenqi fuzheng granules can improve therapeutic efficacy,immune function and the quality of life,moreover,reduce toxic reaction in patients with cervical can-cer.

ObjectiveTo investigate the features of the cortisol ( COR),thyroid hormone and autonomic function of anxiety disorder,and to observe the relationships between clinical subtypes,insomnia,gender factors and the neuroendocrine and autonomic function.Methods60 anxiety disorder patients and 60 healthy controls were randomly selected from a three-grade class A hospital over the same period.Blood at 8:00am to test the plasma COR,T3,T4,TSH level and examined the heart rate variability (HRV) on the same day,the anxiety disorder patients also finish the self-rating anxiety scale (SAS).ResultsThe plasma COR,TSH level and LF/HF index were significantly higher( (531.58 ± 218.59 ) nmol/L,P＜ 0.0l ; (3.50 ± 1.35 ) MIU/L,P＜ 0.05 ;3.87 ± 3.37,P＜0.0l ),while the SDNN,LF,HF index were significantly lower in anxiety disorder than that in the control group (27.34±13.13,P＜0.01;338.72 ±396.34,P＜0.01;135.77 ±149.95,P＜0.01).The plasma COR,TSH level and LF/HF index were significantly higher(P ＜ 0.05,P＜0.01,P＜0.01 ),while the SDNN and HF index were significantly lower in panic disorder than that in the generalized anxiety disorder (P ＜ 0.01 ).The plasma COR,TSH level and LF/HF index were significantly higher,while the SDNN,LF,HF index were significantly lower in panic disorder than that in the control group (P＜0.01 ).The plasma COR was significantly higher,while the SDNN and HF index were significantly lower in generalized anxiety disorder than that of the control group (P＜0.01 ).The plasma COR level and LF/HF index were significantly higher (P＜0.01,P＜0.05),while the SDNN,LF,HF index were significantly lower in anxiety disorder with or without insomnia than that in the control group (P＜ 0.01 ).The plasma TSH level was significantly higher in anxiety disorder with insomnia than that in the control group (P＜ 0.05 ).There were no significant difference of the neuroendocrine and autonomic function between anxiety disorder with or without insomnia (P ＞ 0.05 ).The plasma COR,TSH level were significantly higher,while the SDNN,LF,HF index were significantly lower in the female group than that in the male group (P＜0.01).The total SAS scores were significantly positively correhted with plasma COR levels,and was significantly negatively correlated with SDNN,HF index in the anxiety group.ConclusionThere are neuroendocrine and autonomic nervous system dysfunctions in anxiety disorder,and these dysfunctions are related with clinical subtypes,insomnia,and gender.

ObjectiveTo evaluate the feasibility and outcome of overnight laparoscopie cholecystectomy (OLC).MethodsThe clinical data of 149 patients with cholecystolithiasis or gallbladder polyps who were admitted to the Tianjin People's Hospital from October 2008 to December 2010 were retrospectively analyzed.All the patients underwent LC in the morning and were discharged 24 hours later.Modified Aldrete scoring was done 4-6hours after LC.Patients were contacted by telephone 3 days after LC and reexamined in the out-patient department 7 days after LC.The hospital cost of patients who underwent OLC or LC was compared using the t test.Results OLC was successfully performed on 149 patients,and the modified Aldrete scores of 130 patients were above 9.The visual analogue scale (VAS) of 118 patients were under 4,and the VAS of 31 patients were above 4.The condition of the 31 patients were closely monitered,and were administered morphine.Of the 149 patieuts,144were discharged 24 hours after operation,and the remaining 5 patients were admitted to general ward because of fever,peritoneal effusion or abdominal pain.The incidence of postoperative complication was 2.0％ (3/149) and the mortality was 0.All the patients were followed up,and none of the patients had an emergency readmission.The duration of incapacity was 5.2 days (range,2-7 days).The mean hospital cost of patients who received OLC was ( 7888 ± 396 ) yuan,which was significantly lower than ( 12121 ± 960) yuan of patients who received LC ( t =38.97,P ＜ 0.05 ).ConclusionOLC is effective and safe,and meets the requirement of health insurance policy.

Objective To study inhibition effect of rosiglitazone on lung injury induced by paraquat. Methods 72 male SD rats were randomly divided into three groups ( n=24 ): model control group, paraquat ( PQ ) was administered intraperitoneally at the dose of 20 mg·kg-1;rosiglitazone group, rosiglitazone (10 mg·kg-1 , ip) was administered 1 h before PQ administration; blank control group, 1 mL 0. 9% sodium chloride solution was administered intraperitoneally. The concentration of TNF-α and IL-1β in serum was measured by ELISA at 4, 8 h and 1, 3 day(s) after PQ exposure. The lung injury scores and nuclear factor-kappa B( NF-κB) positive signal were investigated 3 days after PQ exposure by HE staining and immunohistochemistry, respectively. Protein expression levels of NF-κB and activating protein-1(AP-1) were also determined by using Western blotting. Results The levels of IL-1β and TNF-α in serum of PQ-treated rats were significantly increased as compared with blank control group. Rosiglitazone pretreatment reduced the degree of lung tissue injury, the levels of IL-1β and TNF-α in serum, and the protien expression levels of NF-κB and AP-1 as compared with the model control group. Conclusion Rosiglitazone can inhibit NF-κB and AP-1 protein expression in lung tissue, reduce the levels of IL-1β and TNF-α in serum after PQ exposure, and exert an inhibition effect on inflammation in PQ-induced lung injury of rats.

AIM:To determine whether caudatin , a C21 steroidal aglycone , enhances tumor necrosis factor-re-lated apoptosis-inducing ligand ( TRAIL)-associated HepG2 cell apoptosis .METHODS:Cell growth inhibition was deter-mined by MTT assay and cell colony formation assay .The TUNEL apoptosis detection kit was used to analyze cell apopto-sis, and the protein expression was examined by Western blotting .RESULTS:Combination of caudatin with TRAIL signi-ficantly reduced cell proliferation and increased the apoptotic rate of HepG 2 cells compared with the use of each agent alone.This was evidenced by marked increases in caspase-3, caspase-7, caspase-9 and PARP cleavages in the cells treated with caudatin and TRAIL-compared with control group .Combination of caudatin with TRAIL also led to the strong suppres-sion of survivin .CONCLUSION:Caudatin synergizes HepG 2 cells to TRAIL-induced apoptosis by promoting the cleava-ges of caspase-3, caspase-7, caspase-9 and PARP and inhibiting the expression of survivin .

Objective To characterize the language development and articulation in children with different types of cerebral palsy. Methods The data from 76 children with cerebral palsy who underwent standardized tests of speech and language were analyzed. The incidence and abnormal pattern were compared between groups. ResultsLanguage delay and/or dysarthria were noted in 73.1% of these subjects. Children with diplegia developed similar levels both in comprehension and verbal expression, whereas those with tetraplegia and athetoid developed poorer verbal expression. The incidence of language delay in children with diplegia, tetraplegia and athetoid were 45.95%, 90% and 64.7%, respectively. Dysarthria was found in all the children with tetraplegia, athetoid and ataxia, but only 48.65% of those with diplegia. Conclusion Language disorders were common in children with cerebral palsy, especially those with athetoid and tetraplegia.

Objective To investigate the correlation between quantitative parameters with contrast-enhanced ultrasound-power Doppler(CEUS-PD) and mierovessel density (MVD) in hepatoeellular carcinoma (HCC). Methods Thirty-four cases with HCC underwent CEUS before operation. The satisfactory images were selected through CEUS-PD and analyzed with computer to calculate mean color vessel density(MCVD). The blood flows of focal lesions were graded into 0-Ⅲ based on the numbers of color vessels with CEUS-PD. The correlation between those parameters and MVD counted with immunohistochemistry was analyzed after operation. Results In 34 cases with HCC, the MCVD of focal lesions with CEUS-PD was 0. 17±0.09, the pathologic MVD was (62.59 ±23.96)/400 × after operation. The MCVD was positively correlated to MVD( r = 0. 56, P <0.05). In 34 cases HCC,3 cases were in grade Ⅰ , 12 cases were in grade Ⅱ , 19 cases were in grade Ⅲ. There was significant differences in pathologic MVD of every grade ( F = 8.06, P <0.05). But there was no linear tendency in the grades( F = 7.57, P<0. 05). Conclusions In focal lesions of 34 HCC, MCVD calculated with CEUS-PD was positively correlated to pathologic MVD. It can be used to evaluate tumor blood perfusion exactly before operation.

Objective To investigate the effect of Shanzha Xiaozhi Capslue on stability of atherosclerosis plaques in patient with metabolic syndrome (MS) and carotid atherosclerosis (CAS). Methods Totally 106 patients with MS and CAS were randomly divided into 2 groups with 55 cases in the treatment group and 51 cases in the control group. The control group improved the way of life and control of relevant risk factors, while the treatment group was treated with Shanzha Xiaozhi Capslue additionally for 6 months. The occurrence of major adverse cardiovascular and cerebrovascular events of the two groups was compared. The intima-media thickness, plaques grade of carotid artery and the changes of Hs-CRP, Hcy, insulin resistance were measured before and after the treatment. Results After treatment, the occurrence of major adverse cardiovascular and cerebrovascular events in the treatment group reduced significantly compared with the control group (P=0.047). The intima-media thickness and plaques grade of carotid artery in the treatment group decreased significantly compared with the control group (P<0.05), and the serum levels of Hs-CRP, Hcy, insulin resistance were decreased significantly compared with the control group (P<0.01). Conclusion Shanzha Xiaozhi Capslue can decrease the intima-media thickness and plaques score of carotid artery, stabilize atherosclerotic plaque, thus reduce the occurrence of major adverse cardiovascular and cerebrovascular events of patients with MS and CAS.
