Objective To explore the effects of two-dimensional code on nursing instruments management. Methods Information regarding nursing instruments were edited and corresponding two-dimensional codes were generated which would be pasted on both the instruments and the registration book, and nurses were notified about the twodimensional codes. The effects of the application of two-dimensional code were assessed among 145 nurses using questionnaires, and 40 nurses were evaluated for theoretical and operational skills of the instrument. Results After applying two-dimensional code in management of nursing instruments, nurses' scores for utilizing, maintenance, addressing malfunction, storage and counting were higher than previous management method for instruments(P<0.05),and the performance of theoretical and operational skills of 40 nurses were increased significantly(P<0.05).Conclusion Two-dimensional code provides valuable benefits for information storage, instrument tracking, etc.,shows great convenience and efficiency to nursing instruments management, and helps to improve nurses' application skills of instruments.

Objective To investigate the preventive effect of postoperative pancreatic leakage by continuous invaginated pancreaticoenterostomy in pancraticoduodenectomy. Methods Twenty-twopancraticoduodenectomy procedures were performed by continuous invaginated pancreaticoenterostomy with 4-0 absorbable suture and the results were compared with those of 12 end-to-side invagination interrupted suture procedures and 23 pancreatic duct jejunum anastomosis procedures. Results All continuous invaginated pancreaticoenterostomy cases were performed successfully with the average time of 13 minutes, and one biliary leak occurred postoperatively; and there was no pancreatic anastomotic leak and no death. The mean hospital stay of the patients was 15 days. While the mean time of end-to-side invagination interrupted suture procedures was 20 minutes, one biliary leak and one abdominal infection occurred, and one patient died of abdominal bleeding. The mean time of pancreatic duct jejunum anastomosis procedures was 18 minutes, and one pancreatic leak and one upper gastrointestinal bleeding occurred. The mean postoperative hospital stay of these patients was 19 days. Conclusions Continuous invaginated pancreaticoenterostomy is applicable to any situation in the residual pancreas, and has the advantages of easy to operate, time saving and less complications, thus it is an effective improvement of pancreaticoenterostomy.

Objective To explore the work experience and responding measures of the second-line on duty senior nurses in night shift rescue. Methods In-depth interviews were conducted in 11 nurses and the interview data were collected and analyzed by phenomenological research method. Results The work experience of the second-line on duty senior nurses in night shift rescue was divided into three stages and eight topics. Before rescue: the influence of working environment on sleep; concerns over the incompetence of the emergency work because of the unfamiliarity of the specialty; the invisible pressure from their responsibility. During the rescue: the ability of quick adjustment into new environment and rescue state; timely detection and suppression of potential security risks of nursing; the perception of lack of knowledge in night shift nurses and themselves. After the rescue: occupational pride gained from emergency rescue; and the desire for knowledge. Conclusions Nursing managers should pay attention to the work experience of the senior nurses who are on the duty of second-line and take effective interventions to better play the role of senior nurses, at the same time, improve the working ability of night duty nurses to ensure the quality and safety of night nursing work.

Objective To explore the effects of follow-up management based on structural family therapy on self efficacy and quality of life in discharged puerpera. Methods A total of 124 hospitalized puerpera with childbirth of the Affiliated Hospital of Medical School of Ningbo University were selected from October 2015 to October 2016. All of them were divided into observation group and control group, 62 cases in each group. Puerpera of control group were treated with conventional nursing. On the basis of the conventional nursing, puerpera of observation group adopted follow-up management based on structural family therapy. We compared the scores of breast feeding knowledge questionnaire, the rate of exclusive breastfeeding and the quality of life with the Exercise of Self-Care Agency Scale (ESCA) and the quality of life index scale of puerpera in two groups. Results The mean score of breast feeding knowledge questionnaire of puerpera in the observation group was higher than that in the control group with a significant difference (P<0.05). The rate of exclusive breastfeeding of puerpera in the observation group was 93.54% higher than that in the control group (74.19%) with a significant difference (P<0.05). There was a statistically significant difference in the total score of self efficacy of puerpera between the observation group and the control group [(143.4±14.0) vs. (109.6±11.6)] (P< 0.05). The total score of quality of life of puerpera in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group [(8.8±1.3) vs. (5.6±1.1)](P< 0.05). Conclusions The follow-up management based on structural family therapy is favourable to improve the self efficacy on nursing and quality of life of puerpera so as to increase the rate of breast feeding.
