Observe and study the morphological changes and effects on yoleperoxidase (MPO) of traditional Chinese medical complex Intestine-clearing Suppository (ICS) in preventing and treating ulcerative colitis (UC).Method.. Divide the experimental rats randomly into 6 groups, i.e., blank, salicylazosulfapyridine (SASP), model, high, middle and low dosage of ICS, except the blank group, makeother rats experimental UC model with albumen immunologic method of rabbit colon mucosa, further divide them randomly into 2 experimental groups, i. e. , prevention and treatment, afterwards at 2nd~21st day, give prevention group the medicine, 22nd~35th day, treatment group, then decapitate them and take the colon tissue, and observe it morphologically under optical microscope, measure active MPO, analyse statastic results. Result: Through general morphological observation ,we found there were serious congestion ,edema, mucosa erosion, many large ulcers in the rats of model group; less serious mucosa erosion and quantity of ulcers in SASP and low-dosage ICS groups: small ulcers, not serious mucosa erosion, low degree of congestion and edema in high-and middle-dosage ICS groups; the scores of inflammatory injury of ICS groups were markedly lower than that of model (P＜0. 01), meanwhile, the preventive and reating effectiveness of high-and middle-dosage groups was better than that of SASP (P＜0.05). Under the optical microscope, there were large area of mucosa coloboma in the rats of model group, the ulcer penetrated to muscular layer and serous coat; in SASP group and low-dosage ICS group, there were erosive mucosa and inflammatory cell infiltration, granulation on the base; in middle-and high-dosage groups, large part of colon mucosa recovered, granulation formed on the base, ulcers were obviously less than that in model group (P <＜0.01); there had marked difference compared with that in SASP group (P＜0.05). The MPO active values of high-and middle-dosage groups were markedly lower than that of model group (P ＜ 0.01). Conclusion: Traditional Chinese complex ICS had good prevention and treatment to rats UC, itseffectiveness was positively correlated with dosage and better than that of SASP suppository.

[Objective]To introduce the treatment and result of meniscal cyst by arthroscopic surgery.[Method]During the period between 1997 and 2005,20 patients suffered from meniscal cysts have been treated by arthroscopic surgery in Xijing Hospital.Meniscal cysts were excised in all cases with shaver under arthroscopic visualization,whereas outside-in suture repair of meniscus was undergone in 8 cases to close the lacuna and repair the meniscal peripheral free which were resulted from remoral of cyst.The patients were followed up from 3 to 42 months with an average of(18.7?12.2)months.The patients were assessed pre-and post-operatively by the Lysholm score and Glasgow Assessment.[Result]Sixteen of total 20 patients were followed up.Meniscal cyst recurred in a patient one year after operation.Lysholm score of the 16 patients showed a significant improvement from(71.2?8.7)pre-operation to(97.1?2.9)post-operation(t=32.948,P

Objective To investigate the technique and efficacy of arthroscopic internal fixation of avulsion fracture of the anterior cruciate ligament(ACL) from the tibial eminence with stainless steel wire guided by meniscal stitching needle.Methods Fifteen cases of avulsion fracture of the ACL from the tibial eminence were treated by arthroscopic internal fixation with stainless steel wire guided by meniscal stitching needle from December 1999 to August 2005.The Lysholm scoring scale system was used to evaluate knee functions before and after surgery.Regular X-ray plain films at AP and lateral views were conducted to detect the bony healing of avulsed fragments.Results The operation was completed within 30 min.No complications of intraarticular infection,iatrogenic injury,fibroarthritis,or non-union of fracture were found.The 15 cases were followed for 6～54 months(mean,20.9?15.0 months).X-ray films revealed good bone union in all the 15 cases.The Lysholm scores were improved from 19.1?15.2(range,10～56) preoperatively to 97.5?3.7(range,91～100) postoperatively,with significant statistical difference by the student-t test(t=18.483,P=0.000).Wire breakage was found in 2 cases at 8 and 14 months after operation,respectively.But the bone union in the 2 cases was not affected.Conclusions Arthroscopic internal fixation with stainless steel wire guided by meniscal stitching needle in the treatment of avulsion fracture of the anterior cruciate ligament from the tibial eminence has advantages of simplicity,broad indications(from type Ⅱ to Ⅳ injuries),minimal invasion,and rapid postoperative recovery.

Objective To observe histologically the effect of exogenous application of bFGF (basic fibroblast growth factor) combined to freeze- dried tendon on angiogenic enhancement in early ACL (anterior cruciate ligament) reconstruction. Methods 14 dogs were used in the experiment. 100 ng/mL bFGF was combined to freeze- dried tendon and then transplanted into one side knee to substitute the original ACL, while only freeze- dried tendon was used in the transplantation at the other side as control. The ACLs were harvested each week from 1 to 6 weeks from the 14 dogs respectively. The histological observation with HE staining was done under microscope to mainly observe the angiogenesis in the transplanted ACL. Results Neovascularization occurred at 2nd to 3rd week and reached the peak at 4th to 5th week postoperatively at the experimental sides. By contrast, the neovascularization occurred at 4th to 5th week postoperatively at the control sides. Conclusion The time of neovascular formation and the depth of vascular penetration into the tendon in the group of bFGF combined to freeze- dried tendon are superior to those in the control group.

Objective To evaluate the effects of reminfentanil combined with propofl on patients received video assisted thoracoscopic surgery. Methods 40 ASA Ⅰ～Ⅱ patients underwent video assisted thoracoscopic surgery were randomly divided into two groups. BP、HR before anesthesia induction(T0) ,tracheal induction(T1) ,tracheal induction instantly (T2), after five minutes of tracheal induction(T3) were observed; The time of breathing recovery withdrawl,and open eye,extubation and instantly of extubation,VAS;to record in the operation and adverse effect of postoperative nausea were analyzed. Results During tracheal induction, hemodynamic and respiratory variables of groupR less then group F(P ＜ 0. 05), after operation group R time of breathing recovery withdrawl, and open eye, extubation is short of group F(P ＜ 0. 05). Two groups was not appear to know in operation, postoperative nausea is not satistically significant. Conclusion General anesthesia by reminfentanil combined with Propofol on video assisted thoracscopic surgery was safe and feasible.

Objective To establish the analytical methods for determining the contents of tannins in different vegetative organs of Abutilon indicum (L.) Sweet. Methods The content of tannins, expressed as gallic acid equivalents, was measured by using the phospho molybdenum tungstic acid-casein colorimetry. Results The good linearity between concentrations and absorbances of gallic acid was found in the range of 2～10 mg/L, the average recovery was 99.63% and RSD was 1.08%, the contents of tannins in leaves, stems and roots of Abutilon indicum (L.) Sweet were 0.34%, 0.16% and 0.27% respectively. Conclusion The proposed method is sensitive, precise, accurate and reproducible, and it is suitable for the determination of tannins in Abutilon indicum (L.) Sweet.

BACKGROUND: Based on previous studies, the combination of basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF) with graft may accelerate the procedure of vascular invasion of anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) graft. The antigenicity of graft could be inhibited by the destruction of major histolocompatibility complex (MHC) through the treatment of allogenous tendon by freeze. The freeze. dried tendon showed advantages including prolonged storage time. availability for transport and possibility of commercial application. There is no experimental and clinical study on the graft substance of bFGF combined tendon in ACL reconstruction in animal model so far. OBJECTIVE: To observe histologically the effect of exogenous application or bFGF combined to freeze-dried tendon on angiogenic enhancement in early ACL reconstruction. DESIGN, TIME AND SETTING: Controlled animal study, which was performed in the Department of Orthopeadics, Xijing Hospital. Fourth Military Medical University of Chinese PLA between June 2006 and June 2007.MATERIALS: Fourteen dogs were used in the experiment. METHODS: Extensor digitorum longus tendon was harvested from the rest 2 dogs and treated by freeze-dry as graft for other experimental dogs. bFGF(100 u g/L)was combined to freeze-dried tendon and then transplanted into one side knee to substitute the original ACL. While only freeze-dried tendon was used in the transplantation at the other side as control. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Twelve of them were randomly divided into 6 groups according to the 6 time points,i,e.,1,2,3,4,5,6 weeks after surgery(2 dogs in each group).The histological observation with HE staining was done under microscope to mainly observe the angiogenesis in the transplanted ACL. RESULTS: Neovascularization occurred at the 2nd to 3rd weeks and reached the peak at the 4th to 5th weeks postoperatively at the experimental sides. By contrast. The neovascularization occurred at the 4th to 5th weeks postoperatively at the control sides. Neovascularization in the combined group was longer and deeper than that in the control group. CONCLUSION: The time of neovascular formation and the depth of vascular penetration into the tendon in the group of bFGF combined to freeze-dried tendon are superior to those in the control group.

BACKGROUND: Posttraumatic stress disorder(PTSD) arises as a delayed and /or protracted response to a stressful event or situation of an exceptionally threatening or catastrophic nature. There have been reports about natural disasters causing PTSD, but there have been few reports about PTSDcaused by technological disasters. Our study investigated the mental status of those survivors after a serious explosion.OBJECTIVE: To investigate the characteristics and the factors of impact of PTSD caused by technological disasters.DESIGN: A case controlled study of the survivors of a momentous explosion.SETTING: A provincial mental health center.PARTICIPANTS: A serious explosion happened in Urumqi on September 8, 2000. Twenty-eight survivors(as the study group) who were still hospitalized for treatment 3 -5 months after the accident were involved in this study. And in the control group were 30 normal persons whose general demographic data were the same as those patients.METHODS: A psychiatrist told the subjects the following: The objective and meaning of the test, and explained the self-making questionnaire about their general condition, symptom checklist (SCL-90), self-rating anxiety scale (SAS), self-rating depression scale(SDS), cornell medical index(CMI), the questionnaire on dealing styles, the questionnaire on social support, and others-evaluating scale, incident effect scale(IES); a list of stress reaction symptoms.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES:Main resulta:①Clinical feature of PTSD caused by the technological disaster.②the related factors to PTSD in the technologal disaster.Secondary results: Comparison of the results between the two groups in IES, CMI, SDS and SAS.RESULTS: A total of 22(79% ) survivors met the criteria as PTSD. There were significant differences in all the assessments(IES, CMI, SDS, SAS,SCL-90) between the study group and the control group (t =3.62-8.17, P ＜ 0.01 ) . The diagnosis of PTSD was positively correlated with the level of traumatic exposure( r = 0. 420, P ＜ 0. 05), and negatively correlated with the degree of satisfaction with the post-event solutions( r = 0. 420, P＜ 0.05), positively correlated with IES scoring and the level of heart pain ( r = 0. 389 - 0. 665, P ＜ 0. 01 ) . The total scores of IES were positively correlated with the level of exposure ( r = 0. 478, P ＜ 0.05 ).CONCLUSION: The incidence of PTSD after explosion was high, and its occurrence was related with the degree of exposure in the event and that of the satisfaction with the post-event solutions.
