1.Microinvasive therapy for intraspinal tumors resection via Key-hole on mono-lamina
Chinese Journal of Microsurgery 2000;0(02):-
Objective To research the microinvasive therapy for intraspinal tumors resection and study the ways for spinal function protection. Methods Twenty-four cases were detected by MR. The intraspinal tumors located variously and the size of them ranging from 0.9 cm to 3.0 cm. All the tumors underwent resection via Key-hole on mono-lamina and the clinical data were analyzed. Results After tumor pathological examination, the cases of neurofibroma, neurinoma, and spinal meningioma were 9,12 and 3 cases. respectively. All the patient recovered and they walked within one week after operation. No recurrenced on MR examination after 3 months and no spinal tube destruction on CT examination after 6 months. Conclusion The microinvasive therapy via Key-hole on mono-lamina is benefic to the totally resection of intraspinal tumors and also benific to the spinal function protection.

Objective To investigate the routes and MR imaging manifestations of meningeal involvement by nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) with pathological correlation. Methods Twenty five NPC patients with involvement of meninges were included into the study. All patients underwent both unenhanced and Gd DTPA enhanced MR imaging examinations. Surgical and pathological findings were correlated with MR imaging manifestations in 9 patients. Positive cytology was found in only 1 of the 25 patients. Results There were three main routes for meningeal involvement in NPC patients: (1).through the natural bony channels (foramens) of the skull base; (2).through direct bony erosion of the skull base; and (3).Through hematogenous spread. Dura mater was very frequently involved, being seen in 24 patients; pia mater was involved in only one patient. Irregular, patchy thickening in the form of “necklace”, nodules, or mass with obvious enhancement was the major MR feature of meningeal involvement by NPC. In one patient with choroid plexus involvement, dilatation of the lateral ventricles, subependymal nodules with patchy thickening were observed. Conclusion MR imaging with Gd DTPA enhancement was very useful to demonstrate the presence, location and extent of meningeal involvement in NPC patients.

Objective To discuss the MRI features and its clinical significance of bone contusion in knee joint. Methods MR images of injuries of knee in 40 cases were retrospectively analyzed, the complications were reviewed simultaneously. Results 69 lesions of bone contusion in 40 cases were discovered,of them,Ⅰ type was in 38 and Ⅱ type was in 31, in company with fractures were 24 in 22 cases and ligament injury was in 33 cases. Conclusion The present of bone contusion is prompt to the bone injuries,MRI is of significant value in showing bone contusion and its complications in knee.

Objective To assess the value of low dose CT scanning applied in nasal sinus examination. Methods 100 cases were divided into two groups, including youth group and adult group, with 50 cases for each group. After scanned by standard dose(150mAs),all the patients were scanned with low dose. Those in youth group were scanned with 40mAs and 25mAs,and the others in adult group were scanned with 50mAs and 30mAs.CT images were evaluated by three doctors using blind method. The image quality was evaluated according to 3 grades:normal image, image with mild artifact, and image with serious artifact and the results were analyzed statistically. Results The CTDlw of low-dose CT scanning was obviously lower than that of standard dose(P

AIM: To investigate the relationships between I?1 hs1,2 VNTR polymorphism and IgA nephropathy. METHODS: Four hundred and ninteen patients with IgA nephropathy and their first-degree relatives were recruited. Two hundred and one sex and age-matched normal Chinese Han volunteers were also recruited as controls. After extracting genomic DNA, the VNTR genotypes of I?1 hs1,2 region were determined by PCR and electrophoresis, and the results were analyzed by transmission disequilibrium test (TDT) and haplotype relative risk (HRR) in the families, and Chi-Square test in the case-control analysis. RESULTS: ① TDT analyses showed that B allele of the I?1 hs1,2 VNTR region was significantly more transmitted from heterozygous parents to patients than expected (101 Trios, ?2=6.818, P

Objective To clarify the source of infection of a student brucellosis case in Ningde City, make clear its influencing range as well as risk factors of transmission, then take measures to effectively control the epidemic. Methods Clue sampling was carried out, then the survey site village was chosen where the student case came from.①Fundamental state survey: resident population as well as the situation of livestock were collected.②Human outbreak investigation: detailed interview was carried out on the first case.Base on the principle of informed consent, serum samples were collected from breeders and those who had once contacted with sheep in order to detect brucellosis antibodies, then investigation was conducted on farmers to collect cognitive information;case searching was conducted by reviewing outpatient and inpatient records as well as government broadcasting.③Livestock epidemic: serum samples from some of the sheep were collected by agricultural sector. Results There were 200 households with 500 inhabitants in the survey site of Ningde City, among which there were 5 sheep feeding families and totally 154 sheep on hand.Patient was male, 12 years old, student.Sick on June 2nd, 2014,confirmed on July 5th.The patient's neighbor was a sheep farmer, he had once contacted with the sheep.Totally we collected 8 serum samples from livestock personnel, positive Brucella antibody was 4, with a positive rate 50% (4/8);collected 15 serum samples from those contacted with sheep, positive Brucella antibody was 2, with a positive rate 13% (2/15).Meanwhile, agricultural sector collected 17 sheep serum samples from these two sheep farms, among which there were 7 serum samples showing a positive Brucella antibodies, with a positive rate 41% (7/17).After surveyed of 8 livestock breeding personnel and 15 livestock non-breeding personnel, we found that no one was familiar with the clinical characteristics and transmission of brucellosis. Conclusions The direct source of brucellosis infection is local infected sheep, general population has been involved in this epidemic.Brucellosis surveillance should be seriously carried out on both human and animal.Furthermore, improving the awareness of brucellosis among professionals as well as general population is eagerly needed and health education must be carried out immediately.
