AIM: To investigate the protective effects of artemisinin on mice and its inhibition effects on the release of pro-inflammatory cytokines challenged with CpG DNA. METHODS: A total of 60 mice of Kunming species were randomly divided into six groups. Animals received an intraperitoneal injection of D-galactosamine (D-Gal, 600 mg?kg -1) 1 hour prior to intravenous injection of CpG DNA. CpG DNA group received CpG DNA at 4 mg?kg -1 via caudal vein, artemisinin group were orally administered artemisinin at 200 mg?kg -1, CpG DNA plus artemisinin group first received artemisinin at 50, 100, and 200 mg?kg -1, respectively, then received CpG DNA at 4 mg?kg -1, and the control group received the saline only. The mortality was observed within seven days after injection. RAW 264.7 cell lines were cultivated in vitro and stimulated by CpG DNA to release TNF-? and IL-6, then various concentrations of artemisinin were administrated to observe its dose-dependent inhibitory effect, and artemisinin were also added at different time to observe the time-dependent effect. Objective　Genetic analysis was performed on a female child with chromosome Xq28 heterozygous deletion and suspected X-linked recessive disease to determine the morbidity and prognosis. Methods　A female child was admitted to the hospital on day 20 because of "jaundice for 20 days and difficulty in stopping bleeding at acupuncture sites". Low depth whole genome test of amniocentesis in late pregnancy suggested missing copy number of hemophilia A and X-linked mental retardation type 72. In order to further confirm the diagnosis and prognosis, peripheral blood of the children and their parents were collected for gene testing, chromosome inactivation test and genetic analysis. Results　Chromosome Xq28 of the child had 439.4 kb copy number heterozygous deletion variation, which was a clear disease-coding gene for functional loss included in ClinGen database. Chromosome inactivation test showed that the paternal X chromosome of the child was extremely inactivated. Haplotype analysis suggested that the normal chromosome of the subject was inherited from the mother, and there was heterozygous deletion on the paternal X chromosome, so it was inferred that the child will not develop disease or just have mild symptoms. Conclusion　It is necessary to analyze the X chromosome inactivation test for female patients with the pathogenic variation of X-linked recessive genetic disease to determine the possibility of the disease.

Objective To explore the control measures of drug induced liver disease.Methods The age,disease drugs,clinical manifestations,treatment and prognosis of 162 cases with drug induced liver disease were analyzed retrospectively.Results Drug induced liver disease incidence in different age groups are slightly more old age group,Lead to liver damage to many types of drugs,a common anti-TB drugs and other lipid-lowering medicine and Chinese herbal medicine and health drugs can not be ignored.Clinical performance of drug-induced liver disease is different,mostly had good prognosis after treatment,a few turn into cirrhosis,a very small number of fulminant hepatic failure or even death.Conclusion Avoid the use of the drug that may injure the liver,liver protection must also drugs should be regularly reviewed liver function.

Myocardial reperfusion levels were evaluated using the different methods mentioned above at 15 min after PCI. The quantitative parameters of MCE involved contrast peak intensity (A), time to peak intensity (TP) and area under the curve (AUC), representing myocardial blood volume, reperfusion velocity and myocardial blood flow respectively. Results The CTFC was not different between the coronary artery stenosis groups and the normal group. Coronary artery blood flow was slower in group D than that in group A while myocardial blood volume and myocardial blood flow of MCE quantitative parameters markedly decreased in group C than those in group A, and three MCE parameters in D group were significant difference compared with group A. Conclusion Quantitative intracoronary MCE was more accurate in the evaluation of myocardial reperfusion than the other two methods.

To evaluate the effects of calcium on the time course and potency of depolarizing and non depolarizing relaxants, 12 ASA grade Ⅰ Ⅱ patients were randomly divided into two groups. After anesthesia, succinycholine was administered intravenous in a dose of 1mg/kg in group S and vecuronium was administered in a dose of 0 05mg/kg in group V, respectively. 5% calcium chloride 20ml dissolved in 100ml saline were intravenously injected at the same time. The concentration of blood calcium and neuromuscular function (TOF) were monitored. The results showed: (1) Both blood pressure and heart rate were increased in patients of two groups at 2 to 5min after calcium administration, and recovered to normal level 10min later. (2) The concentrations of blood total calcium and dissociated calcium were increased at 5min after calcium chloride administration and maintained to 10min. (3) The time of onset of effect of succinylcholine showed no changes, but the clinical action time and the recovery time were shortened after calcium administration. The recovery time of vecuronium was also obviously shortened by calcium chloride. It suggested that calcium can affect the time course and potency of both depolarizing and non depolarizing relaxants.

Objective To study the method for preparing the polyamine cotton fiber loaded with Cu2+ and to test the antibacterial effect of the cotton fiber. Methods The natural cotton fiber was treated through basification, epoxygenation, alkene amination and Cu2+ adsorption. 8 kinds of microorganisms were used for the bacteriostasis test. Results The modified fibers showed a good antimicrobial effect to gram-negative bacteria and the bacteriostasis value achieved 6. The minimal sterilization concentrations of the Cu2+-diethylene triamine cotton fiber, Cu2+-triethylene tetramine cotton fiber and Cu2+-tetraethylene pentamine cotton fiber were 12 mg/ml, 14 mg/ml and 10 mg/ml respectively. The antibacterial process of the cotton fiber included two parts, adsorption and sterilization. The acting site was on the cell membrane. A positive relationship was seen between the concentration of antibacterial cotton fiber and the dissolved rate of bacteria. Conclusion The metal ion fiber shows an excellent performance of broad-spectrum antibacterial effect, especially to gram-negative bacteria and may be the "contact killing" is the acting manner of the antibacterial cotton fiber.

ObjectiveTo find out the prevalence of brucellosis in Baotou,and to provide a scientific basis for integrated control of brucellosis.MethodIn 2010,high-risk people 7 to 70 years of age engaged in livestock farming,grazing,slaughtering,processing and selling were investigated in 9 districts (banners,counties)of Baotou city.In accordance with the principle of informed consent,blood samples were collected,serum titer was tested using the rose bengal agglutination test and tube agglutination test(SAT),and serum titer of 1:100(+ +) was considered as positive brucellosis,and results were evaluated based on brucellosis monitoring standards(GB 16885-1997).ResultsA total of 5832 copy blood samples were collected,and 250 cases were tested positive,the positive rate was 4.25％.The number of new cases was 164,accounting for 2.81％ (164/5832).Age was mainly concentrated in the 40 to 60 years,accounting for 66.0％(165/250).Brucellosis infection in the livestock industry accounted for 80.87％ (4757/5882).From the regional distribution,DAMAOQI had the most detected cases,and the detection rate was 12.10％ (73/603).ConclusionsContinue to increase the brucellosis prevention knowledge propaganda,carry out brucellosis surveillance of high-risk people,quarantine,and strengthen immunity is the only measure of effective control of brucellosis epidemic.

Objective To understand the arsenic level in drinking water and the current situation in prevention and control of endemic arsenic poisoning in Tuyouqi,Baotou of Inner Mongolia.Methods Through door-to-door survey,we selected patients with arsenic poisoning in order to monitor the arsenic poisoning condition of seven villages(Gangfangying,Laohuyao,Shilaozhang,Youfangying,Wanglaosi,Dajing and Xiaojing) in Tuyouqi,Baotou in 2010,and the disease was diagnosed based on Standard of Diagnosis for Endemic Arsenism(WS/T 211-2001).We also investigated the operation of Salaqi Water Company,Maodai Water Company and the Laohuyao water improvement project.We collected two samples per place in both low water period and high water period to measure water arsenic with silver diethyldithiocarbamate spectrophotometry(WS/T 28-1996).Results Three water improving projects were operating in normal conditions.Water arsenic in Salaqi Water Company and Maodai Water Company was level less than 0.01 mg/L,which met the National Safety Standards of drinking water with arsenic.Water arsenic in Laohuyao improvement project was 0.053 mg/L,which was higher than the drinking water safety standards.The seven villages in Tuyouqi had improved their water conditions.Among them,the arsenic level in Laohuyao was 0.052 mg/L,and the remaining six villages were ＜ 0.05 mg/L.There were 6 suspected cases,14 mild cases,4 moderate cases and 10 severe cases of the 2095 people monitored and no new cases found.The age of patients with arsenic poisoning was in the range of 40 to 70.Conclusions The monitoring results show that drinking water arsenic level in some villages in Tuyouqi is still excessive,but no new arsenic poisoning patients in arsenic poisoning areas are found.
