Journal of Chinese Physician 2001;0(06):-
Objective To compare the characteristic of high permeability dialysis(HPD) and conventional hemodialysis(CHD) and to study whether HPD was more effectively in elimination of the macromolecular, medium and small molecule urinary endotoxin in uremia than CHD.Method 48 cases of hemodialysis patients were randomly divided into two groups: HPD group(26 cases)given by high permeability dialysis, and CHD group(22 cases)given by conventional hemodialysis dialyzer. Two groups were observed prospectively for 2 years and renal function , electrolytes, ? 2 microglubulin, amino acid, protein concentration, endotoxin in blood serum were detected before and after hemodialysis respectively. Results The clearance rates of blood creatinine, blood urea nitrogen, uric acid , ? 2 microglubulin in HPD group were better than that of CHD group. Serum amino acid, endotoxin, serum phosphorum changes were no statistical significance after hemodialysis in two groups. Protein concentration after hemodialysis was higher than that before hemodialysis in two groups. Conclusions High permeability dialysis has all virtues of conventional hemodialysis dialysis and can clear macromolecular and medium molecule endotoxin, but conventional hemodialysis can not do.

Tumor 2010;(2):119-124
Objective:The study aims to screen chemosensitivity-associated proteins in colorectal carcinoma tissues by using two-dimensional gel electrophoresis (2-DE) and mass spectrometry, then identify some differentially-expressed proteins. Methods:The patients with advanced colorectal carcinoma were confirmed by clinical diagnosis. Fresh carcinoma specimens were collected by biopsy and preserved in liquid N2. The tissues were classified into two groups: high sensitivity group (HS) and low sensitivity group (LS) based on drug sensitivity test. The total proteins were extracted and separated by 2-DE. The images were composed, compared, and differentially analyzed to identify the proteins with differential expression in HS and LS groups. Then the differentially-expressed protein spots were incised from the gels and digested by trypsin. The peptide mass fingerprintings (PMF) was acquired after matrix assisted laser desorption/ionization time of flight mass spectrometry (MALDI-TOF-MS) and the proteins were identified by data searching in the Mascot database. Two proteins with differential expression were detected by Western blotting. Results:The 2-DE spectrum of HS and LS groups were established. Most protein spots were distributed in the area with pH 4-8 and relative molecular weight of (20-100)×10~3. The average number of the protein spots was 842±23 in HS group and 793±19 in LS group, respectively. The mean matching rate was 90.7%. The number of differentially-expressed dots between HS and LS group was 79.00±13.56. Thirty protein dots were selected for mass spectrum and bioinformatic analysis, and 9 proteins were identified. Conclusion:Colorectal carcinoma with different chemosensitivity had differential protein expression profiles. The differentially expressed proteins may be associated with chemosensitivity and could be used for prediction of chemosensitivity of colorectal carcinoma.

OBJECTIVETo explore the effect of Qingfei Huoxue Recipe (QHR) combined azithromycin in treatment of intractable pediatric mycoplasma pneumonia.
METHODSTotally 124 intractable pediatric mycoplasma pneumonia patients at our hospital were recruited in this study, and randomly assigned to the treatment group and the control group, 62 in each group. Patients in the control group took azithromycin, while those in the treatment group additionally took QHR. All patients received omnibearing systematic nursing. Therapeutic efficacy, clinical indices (such as disappearance time of cough and rales, recovery time of body temperature) , and the incidence of adverse reactions were observed.
RESULTSAfter treatment the total effective rate was 91.94% (57/62 cases) in the treatment group and 77. 42% (48/62 cases) in the control group with statistical difference (P < 0.05). Compared with the control group, disappearance time of cough and rales, recovery time of body temperature were obviously shortened in the treatment group with statistical difference (P < 0.01). There was statistical difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups [3.23% (2/62 cases) vs 38.71% (24/62 cases) , P < 0.01].
CONCLUSIONIn clinical treatment for intractable pediatric mycoplasma pneumonia, Chinese medicine combined Western medicine plus scientific and systematic nursing showed more obvious advantages with significant efficacy, which was worth spreading.

China Biotechnology 2006;0(03):-
Butyric acid can be used to produce cellulose butyrate fiber and ester derivatives, and to be applied in foodstuffs and perfume industries.Recent researches have found that butyric acid is a preferred carbon source for colonic epithelial cells, and can inhibit histone deacetylase, showing great anticancer potentials. With more and more functions of butyric acid being found and applied in bio-related fields, and with consumer's growing preference to bioproducts, biotechnological production of butyric acid will receive more competence than petroleum-based chemical synthesis.Low product concentration and poor selectivity are presently the main restricting factors.Workers have made considerable progress on more cheep carbon sources, optimization of fermentation process, simplifying downstream processing, and genetic engineering of producing strains.Any achievement on these aspects in the future can contribute to put fermentation of butyric acid into industry.

Aim To investigate the effect of nicotinyl salicylic acid(NSA) on rabbit platelet aggregation induced by Collagen,ADP and AA.Methods Platelet aggregation induced by collagen, adenosine diphosphate(ADP) or arachidonic acid(AA) was studied with turbidimetry in rabbtis blood,in vitro and vivo. Results NSA significantly inhibited the platelet aggregation induced by Collagen and ADP,in vitro and vivo. The inhibition by NSA was dose-dependent.NSA had no effect on the platelet aggregation induced by AA.Conclusion NSA can inhibit rabbit platelet aggregation induced by Collagen and ADP.
