7.Comparison of Multi-sliral CT and X-ray in Breast Cancer image Diagnosis
Journal of Medical Research 2006;0(11):-
Objective To discuss the application valueof the multi-slice spiral CT indiagnosing breast cancer. Methods The images of scanning, enhancing and reconstruction were analyzed in 71 cases of breast cancer proved by clinical pathology. Results All the 71cases were the type of mass. The shapes of the tumor in 57 cases were irregular, burrs can be seen in 48 cases , the skin in 8 cases changed, the nipples in 4 cases sunk, the tissue around the tumor was invaded in 12 cases; The CT value of the tumor rised greatly after enhancement, theranges of value was form 18 to 83 HU. Axilla lumph nodes were detected in 32 cases, Wecan find the lumph node in mediastinum and lung metasis; The tumor and tissue around it can be shown well in multi-orientations through images reconstruction. Conclusions The multi-slice spiral CT has the evident application value in pualitative diagnosing breast cancer.
8.Analysis of Quality of Life in patients with uterus cervical cancer
Chinese Journal of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation 2003;0(02):-
Objective To investigate the quality of life (QOL) of cervical cancer patients and its influential factors as well as to explore the method for improving the QOL in this population of patients. MethodsA QOL questionnaire for uterus cervical cancer (QOL-UCC) was designed and used in a survey of 81 UCC patients before they got any treatment and 124 UCC patients after they were treated for a period of time. SPSS 9.0 software was used to analyze data. ResultsThe patients got poor score with psychological status items(2.11? 0.34 ) before treatment, while those who had been treated for a period of time got poor score with social characteristics items(2.01? 0.33 ), especially with the work(1.87)and sexuality (1.00) items. Economic status of the patients, unsuccessful control of progress of the disease and recurrence were the main influential factors of the QOL in the UCC patients. ConclusionPsychosocial factors play very important roles in QOL of the UCC patients. As a result, psychosocial interventions should be stressed in the rehabilitation of this population of patients.
9.Comparison between CT and MRI in diagnosis of spinal trauma
Chinese Journal of Primary Medicine and Pharmacy 2013;20(5):706-708
Objective To analyze the diagnostic value of CT and MRI in spinal trauma. Methods 41 cases of spinal trauma in patients with spinal CT scan and MRI image data were retrospectively analyzed and compared. Results MRI examination revealed 41 cases of spinal fractures,CT showed 38 cases of fracture; MRI examination revealed 10 cases of bone contusion,CT scan found 1 case of bone contusion;MRI examination revealed 15 cases of anterior longitudinal ligament injury,12 cases occurred posterior longitudinal ligament injury,CT scan found that the anterior longitudinal ligament and posterior longitudinal ligament injury of 2 cases of MRI detection rate was significantly higher than CT(P < 0.05).120 bone chips CT findings,MRI examination revealed 83 cases of bone chips, the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).Conclusion CT and MRI of spinal trauma are two commonlyways of imaging examination. There are advantages and disadvantages of CT examination of the bone chips shift and so can be clearly shown MRI for ligament injury.Bone contusion can be clearly demonstrated for the general compression fractures in MRI examination.Commimcted fracture should be added to do a CT scan.
10.Effect of curcumin on the 11β-hydroxysteroid dehyarogenase 1 expression in spinal cords neuropathic pain rat model
Journal of International Pharmaceutical Research 2017;44(6):551-555,560
Objective To observe the effect of stress caused by neuropathic pain on serum cortisol concentration and expres-sion of 11β-hydroxysteroid dehyarogenase 1(11βHSD1)and investigate the action mechanism of curcumin for alleviating neuropathic pain. Methods The 72 male SD rats were randomly divided into 4 groups with 18 rats in each group:sham operation group(Sham), chronic constrictive injury group(CCI),solvent contrast group(SC)and curcumin treated group(Cur100). Curcumin(100 mg/kg/d) was given after the operation in Cur100 group. Paw thermal withdrawal(PTWL)and paw mechanical withdrawal threshold(PMWT)of rats were measured on 2 pre-operative and 1,3,5,7,10,and 14 post-operative days. The animals were deeply anesthetized, the blood was taken from the heart, and the L4-L5 dorsal root ganglion(DRG)of the operated side was removed. The change of cortisol was measured by ELISA and the change of 11βHSD1 expression in spinal cord and DRG was determined by immunochemistry and Western blot. Results Compared with sham group,PTWL and PMWT decreased significantly after operation in CCI group(P<0.01),serum cortisol concentration was significantly increased(P<0.01)and the expression of 11βHSD1 was significantly increased in CCI group(P<0.01). Compared with CCI group, the PMWT and PTWL was increased in CCI group(P<0.05),the serum cortisol concentration was decreased(P<0.05)and the expression of 11βHSD1 was inhibited in Cur100 group(P<0.05). Conclusion Stress caused by neuropathic pain triggered the release of cortisol to the blood and increased the expression of 11βHSD1 at the same time. Cur-cumin could alleviate thermal hyperalgesia and mechanical hyperalgesia induced by CCI and could also inhibit the serum cortisol con-centration and the expression of 11βHSD1 in spinal cord and DRG,which was likely to be related to pathogenesy and maintenance of neuropathic pain.
