Objective This study was designed to assess whether Bushen Tongluo Fang(BSTLF),a Chinese materia medica formula, can ameliorate the hypercoagulable state in rats with membranous glomerulonephritis(MGN)induced by cationized bovine serum albumin(C-BSA)in order to gain an insight into the mechanisms responsible for its therapeutic effect. Methods Seventy-two male Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly separated into six groups:the normal control group, the MGN model group, the prednisone-plus-aspirin treatment group, and the low-,moderate-,and high-dose groups of BSTLF.The model of MGN was induced by sc(preimmunization)and iv injections of C-BSA in the latter five groups. After the development of MGN model, the decoctions of BSTLF and the prednisone-plus-aspirin solution were ig administered to the treatment groups respectively twice daily for four weeks. The rats in the model group received their drinking water as vehicle controls.Urinary albumin excretion for 24 h was measured using a rat albumin ELISA kit.The platelet aggregation was analyzed by turbidimetry. The plasma level of fibri-nogen(Fib)was determined by the von Clauss assay.Radioimmunoassay was used to examine thromboxane B2(TXB2)and 6-keto-prostaglandin F1?(6-keto-PGF1?)of the renal cortex. Results Urinary albumin excretion for 24 h,maximal platelet aggregation, plasma Fib level, and TXB2 production of renal cortex in the MGN model group were significantly higher than those in the normal control group, respectively.Compared with the MGN model group, these four measurements were decreased significantly in BSTLF-treated groups. The 6-keto-PGF1? production of renal cortex in the MGN model group was subnormal but no statistically significant differences were observed between the model group and BSTLF groups. Conclusion The results of this study suggest that the administration of BSTLF could attenuate platelet aggregability, lower plasma level of Fib and reduce thromboxane A2 production by renal cortex in the rats with MGN,so that their hypercoagulable state is corrected at least partly and glomerular microthroimbosis is prevented in several ways. These effects may contribute considerably to the mechanisms of BSTLF efficacy for chronic nephritis.

5.Analysis of linear relationship between invasive and non-invasive blood pressure
Chinese Journal of Modern Nursing 2013;19(11):1275-1277
Objective To investigate the linear relationship between invasive blood pressure and noninvasive blood pressure, providing references for clinical blood pressure monitoring. Methods Totals of 32 ICU patients were chosen, and their invasive blood pressure and non-invasive blood pressure were monitored at the same time by self-reflection methods. The data were collected and compared, and linear correlation was analyzed. Results Totals of 98 pairs of valid date were collected. The invasive systolic and diastolic blood pressure were respectively (146.93 ± 21.426) and (71.32 ± 13.152) mm Hg,higher than the non-invasive systolic and diastolic blood pressure which were (124.02 ± 19.417) and (68.86 ± 15.251) mm Hg,and the differences were statistically significant (t =15.301,3.363,respectively; P <0.05).And there was a linear relation between invasive blood pressure and non-invasive blood pressure (r =0.880,P < 0.05).Conclusions There is statistically significant difference between invasive blood pressure and non-invasive blood pressure, which are not substitutable for each other. And non-invasive blood pressure monitoring values can be used to deduce and calculate the invasive blood pressure monitoring values.

Objective To find out the demands of critical patients' families about assurance scale and the cognition of the nurses to families' need in Emergency. Methods By Critical Care Family Needs Inventory (CCFNI), 100 family members of patients in Emergency Resuscitation Room / Emergency Intensive Care Unit (EICU) and 100 emergency nurses were surveyed. Results Among the 7 indexes, the differences of 4 indexes had no obviously statistical meaning in the family members' needs for AS and the nurses' congnition for AS (P>0.05). The 3 indexes, e. g. , truly answering the family members' questions, knowing the situation of disease change and feeling the hopeful improvement of disease, had significantly statistical meanings (P< 0.05). Conclusions Emergency nurses can meet the majority need of the families of critical patients, but there still exist some questions that need to be improved and advanced.

OBJECTIVETo study clinical characteristics of children with enthesitis related arthritis (ERA).
METHODSTwelve patients fulfilling the international league of associations for rheumatology (ILAR) criteria for classification of juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) and ERA were referred to our department between August and November, 2002. Their gender, age, family history, clinical manifestations, imaging data, laboratory data and treatment regimens were analyzed retrospectively.
RESULTSOf the 12 patients, 11 were male, only one was female; their age ranged from 4 to 16 years, and the median age was 10.5 years. Ten (83%) of the patients were older than eight years. Among their first degree relatives, one had definite ankylosing spondylitis (AS), and 3 presented with a history of inflammatory low back pain. Enthesitis occurred in 9. Synovitis occurred in 11, most of which were oligoarthritis, predominantly affecting large joints of the lower limbs in an asymmetric pattern. Seven patients underwent CT scan, and only one had erosions of the sacroiliac joints to achieve a diagnosis of juvenile AS. Ten had fever at the onset, and one had a history of diarrhea preceding the symptoms of arthritis. Urethritis and balanitis circinata occurred in 3 cases fulfilling the classification criteria of Reiter's syndrome, with conjunctivitis in 2 and corneitis in one. Elevated inflammatory indicators such as white blood cell, neutrophil, platelet, erythrocyte sedimentation rate, C-reactive protein, immunoglobulins and serum complement C3 were common during the acute illness. Mild anemia was found in 4, and reactive hemophagocytosis in 4 bone marrow specimens. DNA of human parvovirus B19 was detected in sera of 2 cases. One had positive IgM antibody to coxsackie virus B. All 12 cases were rheumatoid factor negative and HLA-B27 positive. Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and sulfasalazine were the mainstay of treatment. Corticosteroids were added in 3 cases as a "bridge" therapy due to the severe systemic inflammation. Methotrexate was used in 4 cases with refractory disease or with the hip involved, and in 2 of them cyclophosphamide was added.
CONCLUSIONThe clinical characteristics of ERA can facilitate an early diagnosis so as to avoid joint damage and disabilities.
