1.Atrial remodeling and atrial fibrillation:recent advances and translational perspectives
Chinese Journal of Geriatrics 2016;35(5):560-564
Atrial fibrillation (AF) is the most common clinical arrhythmia.Atrial electrical remodeling and structural remodeling are the important mechanisms for AF.The intracellular Ca2+ handling abnormalities play an important role in the induction of triggered ectopic activity and in the activation of Ca2+-related cell signaling which mediates fibrillatory remodeling. In addition, the importance of microRNAs,which are a new class of small noncoding sequences that regulate gene expression, has been found in both electrical and structural remodeling. The new discovery of AF mechanisms are helpful to exploring the effective treatment for AF,showing good prospects for the use of translational perspectives.

Objective: To summarize the experience in the treatment of candidiasis albicans. Methods: 95 cases aged 5 months~78 years old with candidiasis albicans were treated by fluconazole and polyactin A etc, the Candida albicans were examined by smear examination. Results: The rate of cure was 35.79 %, that of improvement was 57.89%, the clearance rate of Candida albicans was 80.59%.Conclusion: The Cadida albicans is opportunistic pathogen. Fluconazole is effective in the treatment of candidiasis albicans.
7. Nitrogenous chemical constituents from Carthamus tinctorius
Chinese Traditional and Herbal Drugs 2014;45(21):3071-3073
Objective: To study the chemical constituents from flowers of Carthamus tinctorius. Methods: The chemical constituents were isolated and purified by multiple chromatographic methods. Their structures were identified on the basis of spectral data and physicochemical properties. Results: Ten compounds were identified as l-phenylalanine (1), thymine (2), inosine (3), guanosine hydrate (4), thymidine (5), 2'-O-methyluridine (6), banegasine (7), adenosine (8), 2'-deoxyadenosine (9), and 5'-deoxy-5'- methylamino-adenosine (10). Conclusion: Compound 3, 5, 6, 9, and 10 are isolated from this plant for the first time.

The establishment of induced pluripotent stem (iPS) cells is considered as one of the most important progresses in science and technology nowadays. In recent years, the iPS cells have been used in the construction of cellular model for hereditary heart disease, and the successful treatment in animal model of myocardial infarction, which brings a bright future for exploring the pathogenesis and therapy of hereditary heart disease.

Objective To investigate the effect of hepatocyte growth factor(HGF)on the proliferation of human hepatocellualr carcinoma cells, and the mechanism of HGF-induced proliferation inhibition. Methods Human hepatocellualr carcinoma cell line HepG2 were treated with different concentrations of HGF for different time periods, and the proliferation of these cells was examined by colorimetric BrdU cell proliferation enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. The expression of S-phase kinase associated protein 2(Skp2)was examined using Western blot and RT-PCR.Plasmids pcDNASkp2 was introduced into HepG2 cells, then the clones showing up-regulation of Skp2 were selected, and the effect of HGF on the proliferation in these clones was investigated. Results HGF inhibited the proliferation of hepatoma cells in a dose and time dependent manner. The expression of Skp2 was significantly suppressed by HGF.Furthermore,HGF did not suppress the proliferation of HepG2 cells transfected with Skp2.Conclusions This study suggests that HGF could inhibit HepG2 cell proliferation, and the down-regulation of Skp2 could be closely related to this suppressed proliferation.
