1.EFFECTS OF GINSENOSIDES AND PANTOCRINE ON THE FUNCTION OF REPRODUCTIVE ENDOCRINE SYSTEM IN MALE RATS
Chinese Pharmacological Bulletin 1986;0(04):-
In vitro experiment, results showed the that the LH secretion of adenohypophysis incubated with Ginsenosides ( G ) and Pantoc-rine ( P ) was significantly increased, similar to the exciting effect of LRH which stimulats LH secretion. By addition of G or P and Indomethacin (an inhibitor of PGs synthesis) at the same time, however, the LH secretion was significantly decreased. It appears that PGs may be involved in the regulation of the exciting effect of G and P on LH secretion. The experiment in vivo also demonstrated that in healthy young male rats injected with P by S.c.,thetestosterone content in plasma had significant increase, that the binding capacity of testicular tissue to 125I-HCG (receptor function) did not change clearly.
2.A New Method for the Extraction of Tea-Polyphenols
Chinese Traditional and Herbal Drugs 1994;0(03):-
A new method for the extraction of tea-polypbenols (TP ) from tea using AlCl3 as precipitating agents was proposed. Compared with tbe traditional extraction method using organic solvents, it is shown that the new method is simple and can be operated easily. The extraction rate of TP by the new method could reach 10.5% and the content of the effective ingredients of TP could reach over 99.5%

Endostatin(ES), the C-terminal fragment of collagen XVIII, is a potent angiogenesis inhibitor. At present, there are a large number of research papers on ES. It has already been on clinical stage Ⅱ and been widely used in inhibition of neovascularization(NV). However, how to improve the bioactivity of ES is still a matter of ongoing discussion. The objective of this review is to elucidate the relationship between the modified ES and ocular neovascualrization, and to discuss the superiority based on the structure modification. The structure can be changed either by covalent modification or by genetical mutation. It is proposed that the secondary structral ES enhance the anti-angiogenic activity. Studies on modified ES also shed light on our understanding of the molecular action mechanisms of ES. Modified ES may be exploited as a new angiogenesis inhibitor for therapeutic applica-tions, in substitution of the native ES. Activity
6.Effect of preoperative neoadjuvant chemotherapy on cervical carcinoma
Chinese Journal of Primary Medicine and Pharmacy 2010;17(23):3175-3177
Objective To study the value of neoadjuvant chemotherapy in the treatment of cervical carcinoma. MethodsA clinical prospective study was carried out from Jan.1997 to Dec.2003,118 patients with cervical carcinoma were given two cycles of combined chemotherapy before operation(neoadjuvant chemotherapy group, group A).102 patients accepted surgery alone in our hospital from Jan.1997 to Dec.2003 were chosen as the comparison group(group B).Survival rate and complications were observed and analysed. Results5 year survival rate in group A was significantly higher than that in group B(P<0.01),The 5 year survival rate was significantly higher in group A than in group B,despite of different pathological types, with or without radiochemotherapy(P<0.05).The recurrent rate was lower in group A than that in group B,which show significant difference in the 5 year recurrent rate(P<0.05). ConclusionNeoadjuvant chemotherapy is an effective method for the treatment of cervical carcinoma in early stage.Because of satisfactory short-term control rate, excision rate,long-term survival rate and low recurrent and metastatic rate, neoadjuvant chemotherapy is worth popularizing in clinical treatment.
