The contentofthe pharmacology is huge and full of variety of drugs,therefore,easy to confuse,besides,it's difficult to understand the abstract mechanism.This article describes the pharmacology teaching methods such as disease example,comparison,practice and so on.These methods stimulate students'interest in studying and learning initiative as well as train students'abilities to discover,analyze and solce problems,and at last have achieved good teaching effects.

Objective To assess the ability of the new software SonoAVC to measure follicular volume and to compare these volume calculations with those made by conventional methods. Methods Three-dimensional ultrasound imaging was used to acquire volumetric data from the ovaries of 50 women undergoing controlled ovarian stimulation as part of in-vitro fertilization treatment. SonoAVC was used to automatically measure the volume of follicles and virtual organ computer-aided analysis(VOCAL) was also applied to measure volume, which was used as the standard of volume measurement. And the three perpendicular diameters (xyz diameters) of follicles were manually measured by conventional two-dimensional(2D) ultrasound, which were used to estimate volume using the sphere formula. And the validity of each technique was compared using limits of agreement. Results One hundred and seventy-six follicles were studied. SonoAVC and VOCAL provided highly accurate and repeatable follicular volume measurements in all cases. Volumes estimated from manually derived follicular diameter measurements were less accurate and repeatable. VOCAL took more time in follicular volume of measurement than SonoAVC and conventional 2D displays. Conclusions SonoAVC provides highly accurate, repeatable,and efficient measurements of follicular volume.

Objective　To establish a simple assay for quick scanning of effective agents in growth inhibition and apoptosis induction. Methods　After observing the correlation between cell number and acid phosphatase activity, and between cell apoptosis and acid phosphatase activity, we established a microplate densimetry method to measure the acid phosphatase activity. We also compared the sensitivity with MTT assay and confirmed cell apoptosis by flow cytometry. Results　In two cell lines of cancer (Hep G2 and CBRH-7919 cells), the acid phosphatase activity was correlated well with the cell number, and was directly proportional to the cell number in the range of 0.5×103～0.7×103. The coefficient reached to 0.994. After stimulation of phorbel ester (TPA) for one hour, the acid phosphatase activity rose significantly. In contrast, after the inhibition of cell growth by As2O3, the acid phosphatase activity decreased significantly. The higher the concentration of As2O3, the lower the acid phophatase activity. The acid phophatase activity went down significantly when apoptosis in Hep G2 cells was only 3.98% and no apoptosis in CBRH-7919 cells after 24-hour treatment with As2O3. Conclusions　The acid phophatase activity of cell may be used to measure cell proliferation and apoptosis. Because of the easiness and quickness, acid phophatase assay might be an ideal approach to scan the effective growth inhibitors and apoptosis inducers in a large number of drugs.

Mild cognitive impairment(MCI)refers to cognitive regression which goes beyond one'S age and education level,but does not influence the activities of daily living.More than half patients with MCI will develop dementia within five years.Therefore,MCI is considered as a risk status of dementia.Early diagnosis of MCI prevents against patients developing dementia. Voxel-based morphometry(VBM)technique quantitatively calculates the size of global and local gray matter voxel and signal intensity.It is a full automatic analysis technique of objective brain morphology.This article reviews the application of VBM technique in patient with MCI.

Objective To investigate midwives' role cognition and their working experience.Methods It was a qualitative study using the phenomenological method.10 midwives were interviewed and all the data were analyzed using the categorization method.Results Three main categories were identified:diversified midwife roles; capacities and qualities required to fulfill midwifery roles; positive and negative experiences coexisted.Conclusions Managers should develop humanized management approaches to facilitate the fulfillment of midwives' roles and improve their working experience.The research also revealed the need to improve Chinese midwifery education and the midwifery regulation systems.

Objective:To evaluate MRI manifesattions of intradural metastases of medulloblastomas.Methods:The clinical data and MRI of 6 cases with intradural metastasis of medulloblastomas were reviewed retrospectively.Results:21 masses were found in 6 cases,mostly in lumbar segment.Most of them were oblong or fusiform shagped.The size averaged 1.8 cm?2.3 cm.They had the similar signal intensity with those in brain,but hemorrhage,cyst and calcification were less common.Conclusion:MRI plays an importment role in diagnosis of intradural metastases of medulloblastomas. Uveitis is a kind of refractory blinding eye diseases.Noninfectious uveitis is an important part of uveitis,which is thought to be an autoimmune disease,and systemic immunosuppressive therapy is usually required to prevent visual loss.As a selective T-cell inhibitor,cyclosporine A is one of the most widely used immunosuppressants,and has obvious therapeutic effect on many kinds of uveitis.Cyclosporine A combined with glucocorticoid,other immunosuppressants or biological agents can improve the therapeutic effect and reduce the side effects.Recently,the inhibitory effect on glucocorticoid-resistant Th17 cells and topical application of cyclosporine A,show its advantage and potential in the treatment of noninfectious uveitis.

Further study of the effect of monosodium glutamate on body temperature using rabbits as experimental model by repeatedly intravenous injection of MSG. The experimental results showed that the body temperature of rabbits were decreased significantly at a time of each day consecutively for three days with medium dose MSG(0.5g/kg/day) However, this effect was disappeared following the fourth administration of MSG a week later, and so did the fifth administration of MSG two weeks later. Those results suggested that the disappearance of decreased body temperature by MSG may be due to tolerance development after MSG was administrated repeatedly. The authors proposed two hypotheses of mechanisms for the development of MSG"tolerance". which would be investigated further.

Objective To investigate the clinical diagnosis and treatment of incomplete Beh et′s disease. Methods The clinical data of 52 patients (83 eyes ) with incomplete Beh et′s disease were retrospectively analysed. Visual acuity and results of examination of slit-lamp microscope, ocular fundus, and fundus fluorescein angiography (FFA) were observed and analysed. All of patients were treated by local cycloplegic, systemic treatment with glucocorticoid and cytoxan. The followed-up period was 1 year or more. Results Recurrent hypopyon or empyema of anterior chamber angle, and hyperaemia of optic papilla was found in 54 and 41 eyes, respectively. The results of FFA showed that abnormal changes were found in all of the eyes. There was vascular leakage and staining of optic papilla at the early and late stage in 83 eyes (100%), diffuse leakage of retinal capillary vessel in 83 eyes (100%), and leakage of affected branch of retinal vessel and staining of the vascular wall at the late stage in 71 eyes (85.54%).After the treatment, the disease recovered completely in 20 patients (26 eyes), recovered partly in 20 (33 eyes), and alleviated in 12 (24 eyes). No patients suffered from hypopyon or empyema of anterior chamber angle and hyperemia of optic papilla. None of the patients had oral ulcer, genital ulcer or arthritis until the last day of the follow-up. Conclusions Recurrent hypopyon, papillitis, and retinal vasculitis were the main clinical manifestations of incomplete Beh et′s disease. FFA redounds to the diagnosis of the disease and timely application of cycloplegic and systemic application of glucocorticoid and cytoxan may inhibit the aggravation of the disease effectively.
