OBJECTIVE:To discuss the effect of folic acid on the homocysteine(Hcy)and flow-mediated vasodilation and cog-nitove function in the treatment of elderly patients with cerebral infarction. METHODS:The data of 198 elderly patients with cere-bral infarction was randomly divided into the observation group and the control group by different medication. Control group was treated with conventional treatment;based on the treatment of control group,observation group was orally treated with Folic acid tabelts 5 mg,once a day. The treatment course of 2 groups was 8 weeks. The Hcy level and flow-mediated vasodilation(FMD)be-fore and after treatment,mini-mental state examination (MMSE) score and incidence of adverse reactions in 2 groups were ob-served. RESULTS:After treatment,Hcy level in observation group was significantly lower than before and control group,FMD was significantly higher than before and control group(P<0.01). MMSE score in observation group was significantly higher than control group(P<0.01). There were no obvious adverse reactions in 2 groups during treatment. CONCLUSIONS:Based on the con-ventional treatment,folic acid can effectively reduce the Hcy level of elderly patients with cerebral infarction,improve the cogni-tive function and reduce the brain tissue damage,with good safety.

Objective To investigate the onset and risk factors of the transient ischemic attack of vertebrobasilar artery vertige in old patients. Methods Patients were divided into group A, group B, group C based on attack times of vertige and whether cerebral thrombosis was formed within half a year. Blood biochemistry index, blood pressure variation, carotid ultrasonic examination results in the first 24 hours were compared. Results High sensitive C-reactive protein (hs-CRP), systolic blood pressure (SBP), diastolic blood pressure(DBP), blood sugar(BS), cholesterol(TC), triglyceride(TG), common carotid artery resistance of group A index(CCARI), internal carotid artery resistance index(ICARI) and atherosis plaque index in the first 24 hours were significantly lower than those of group C (P0.05). Logistic regression indicated that hs-CRP, DBP, BS, TC, CCARI, ICARI and plaque index were correlated with risk factors of the transient ischemic attack of vertebrobasilar artery vertige and cerebral thrombosis in old patients. Conclusion hs-CRP, SBP, BS, TC, CCARI, ICARI and plaque index elevation might be an early warning index for the unstability and easy drop of the carotid's plaque.

Objective To explore the effect of preventive nursing in reducing the incidence of falls in patients with cardiovascular diseases.Methods A total of 100 hospitalized patients in cardiovascular department from January to March 2016 were selected as observation group given preventive nursing to reduce the incidence of falls.Another 100 hospitalized patients in cardiovascular department from October to December 2015 were selected as control group given routine nursing.The incidence of falls,nursing disputes,nursing satisfaction,and the education effect of falls of two groups were compared.Results The incidence of falls and the complaint rate in the observation group were lower than that of the control group,anti-fall knowledge,attitude score of accompanying were higher than that in the control group,the difference was statistically significant (P ＜ 0.05).The satisfaction in safety evaluation,prevention of identification,protection effect in the observation group was higher than that in the control group,the difference was statistically significant (P ＜ 0.05).Conclusion Preventive nursing can effectively reduce the incidence of falls in patients with cardiovascular diseases,and improve nursing satisfaction of patients.
