Chinese Journal of Practical Internal Medicine 2001;0(10):-
Objective To summarize the clinical, electromyography and muscular pathological feature in adult spinalmuscular atrophy (SMA_4). Methods The clinical and electromyography and pathological materials from 48 patients withSMA_4. were studied in retrospect tively. Results SMA_4 onset was averaged 38.23 years old,The disease showed proximalweakness and atrophy. The electromyoguphy in the patients with SMA_4. presented as abnormal insertion potential,fibrilla-tion potential and fascicular potential, positive spike in some patients, remarkable increase of mean amplitude, mean timelimit and polyphasic action potential, and so on. Muscle biopsy showed: 1. small groups atrophy mainly;2. extensive fibertype grouping and more hypertrophic fiber. Conclusions SMA_4 could be diagnosed by the clinical manifestations andelectromyography and muscle biopsy.

BACKGROUND: The negative emotion can directly attenuate the humoral and cell mediated immunity, which contributing to the onset of lung cancer, therefore psychological therapy is crucial for the prevention of lung cancer.OBJECTIVE: To investigate the effect of catharsis and cognitive therapy on the psychology of patients with lung cancer, as well as the short-term clinical therapeutic effect, so as to exploring the importance of psychological interventionDESIGN: Non-randomized same period control, 1:1 matched observation SETTING: Cadres Therapeutic Ward of Affiliated Second Hospital of China Medical University and Cadres Therapeutic Ward of General Hospital of Shenyang Military Area Command of Chinese PLA.PARTICIPANTS: Totally 124 patients with lung cancer, received treatment at Cadres Therapeutic Ward of Affiliated Second Hospital in China Medical University and General Hospital of Shenyang Military Area Commaud of Chinese PLA from February 1999 to December 2002, volunteered into this study, were randomly divided into treatment group and control group, all data was paired by 1:1 according to age, gender, UICC-TUM stage and pathological type, totally 42 pair data were obtained.METHODS: All participant received the same chemotherapy and radiotherapy (etoposide carboplatin), the patients in treatment group were given additional emotional catharsis and cognitive therapy at the beginning of treatment once every five days for 1-3 times; And then patients were informed of related cancer knowledge once or twice a week for totally 6 weeks. Before treatment, SCL-90 (including 9 symptomatic factors that divide into five grades: 0 score meant never, 1 score was gentle, 2 scores were medium, 3 scores were quite severe and 4 scores were severer) was used to evaluate the psychology of patients; moreover the therapeutic effect was assessed according to WHO standards for lung cancer (focus disappeared for more than 4 weeks is believed of complete relieve; Focus area reduced by above 50% and maintained for 4 weeks is believed of part relieve) MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Scores for SCL-90 and therapeutic effect of two groups before and after treatment RESULTS: Totally 42 pairs (84 cases) were remained in the final result duced after treatment in two groups (P < 0.05), but the scores for somatzation, individual sensitivity, depression anxiety and psychosis in treatment group were found lower than corresponding control group after treatment (1.64±0.41, 1.76±0.34; 1.31±0.30, 1.67±0.35; 1.40±0.29, 1.58±0.41;Therapeutic effect: The total relieve rate in treatment group was higher than control group, but difference was of no statistical significance (68%,52%, x2=2.381, P > 0.05).CONCLUSION: Although the therapeutic effect of catharsis and cognitive therapy is s unobvious short-term in patients with lung cancer, but it can attenuate the negative emotion, such as depression and anxiety, which can improve their psychology and immune-regulating function.

Objective To investigate the effects of fluoride on the cell viability, cell cycle, apoptosis, and expression levels of NF-?B in primary cultured rat hippocampal neurons. Methods The rate of cell survivor, distribution of cell cycle, the percentage of apoptotic cells and the mRNA expression level of NF-?B were respectively measured by methyl thiazolyl tetrazolium (MTT), flow cytometry (FCM), and reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) after the hippocampal neurons were incubated with 20, 40, and 80 ?g/ml sodium fluoride for 24 hours in vitro. Results Compared with the control group, the rate of cell survivor were significantly decreased in 80 ?g/ml fluoride-treated group (P

Chongqing Medicine 2014;(23):3048-3050,3054
Objective To learn the professional ability of rural doctors in our country ,to provide scientific reference for educa-tional reform of junior-college clinical medicine .Methods A self-made questionnaire was performed in 1 245 rural doctors from 86 rural grassroots health institutions in 7 provinces(municipalities) of our country .Results The rural doctors were familiar with working environment ,coordinated and communicated well with colleagues ,basic competence at work .But their clinical diagnosis-treatment technology and operational capability of medical equipments were not strong .The doctor-patient relationship was not so good .Conclusion Not the proper use of medical equipment and treatment technology of weak seriously affected the quality of serv-ice .Not ideal doctor-patient relationship influenced the service effect .It was suggested that college of clinical medical professional education should enhance the cultivation of students′clinical diagnosis technology ,basic operational skills and communication skills between doctors and patients .
10.Construction of eukaryotic expression vector of fusion gene CD80-IgG and its expression in Chinese hamster ovary cells
Chinese Journal of Pathophysiology 1989;0(06):-
AIM: To construct the eukaryotic expression vector CD80-IgG by fusing the cDNA encoding extracellular portion of murine CD80 to the 5'-terminus of cDNA encoding Fc fragment of murine immunoglobulin G1 and to express the fusion protein in Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cells. METHODS: The two cDNAs was amplified by PCR respectively from plasmid pcDNA/B7 containing the full-length cDNA of murine CD80 from murine spleen cells, and cloned to the eukaryotic expression vector pcDNA3.0 by directional cloning. The resultant recombinant plasmid pcDNA/CD80-IgG was transfected into CHO cells with liposome transfection reagent. The stably expressing cells were obtained by G418 screening. Western blot, Dot ELISA, and flow cytometry were used to detect the expression of the fusion protein and its immunological activity. RESULTS: DNA sequencing verified the correction of the construction of recombinant plasmid pcDNA/CD80-IgG. The expressed fusion protein was detected in the supernatant of transfected CHO cells and the molecular weight of the protein was similar to what we expected. Its immunological activity was also established. CONCLUSION: The recombinant plasmid pcDNA/CD80-IgG was successfully constructed and it expressed the fusion protein CD80-IgG.
