Livin is a new and important member of the inhibitor of apoptosis protein(IAPs)family.Livin is high expressed in most human tumor cells, involved in apoptosis inhibition and closely related with tumor development and progression.Studies found that through the down-regulation or inhibition of Livin expression and the induction specific antibodies of Livin could inhibi and kill tumor cells, which provided a new method for tumors'diagnosis, cell and gene targeted therapy.

To introduce the method, content and the benefit of constituting inspection tour quality bulletin system and as- sessing the inspection tour computer capability grade of the quarter inspection tour of computer repair and maintenance outsourcing service. By improving the computer routine inspection tour in practice, we can enhance the integrated benefit of the computer quarter inspection tour. As an effective approach of the network equipment preventive repair and mainte- nance, after the computer quarter inspection tour system was optimized and improved, it got the end-users and hospital or- ganization' high attention and full affirmation for the good integrated benefit.

OBJECTIVESTo investigate the expression and clinical significance of BATF2 in the oral tongue squamous cell carcinoma (OTSCC).
METHODSExpression of BATF2 mRNA and protein in 16 paired OTSCC tissues and adjacent non-tumor mucosa were examined using quantitative PCR, western blotting analysis and immunohistochemistry assays, and the relation between BATF2 expression and clinical pathologic factor and prognosis was analyzed.
RESULTSIn 16 paired tissues, expression of BATF2 mRNA in 13 OTSCC tissues and expression of BATF2 protein in 14 OTSCC tissues were significantly lower than that in adjacent non-tumor mucosa. In 202 paraffin-embedded OTSCC samples, BATF2 was not expressed in 20 cases (9.9%), low expressed in 104 cases (51.5%) and highly expressed in 78 (38.6%). BATF2 expression level was significantly correlated with histological differentiation (P = 0.002). Patients with low BATF2 expression had significantly poorer overall survival and disease-free survival than those with high BATF2 expression (P < 0.001).
CONCLUSIONSBATF2 was low expressed in OTSCC and related to tumor differentiation and prognosis and may serve as a prognostic biomarker and potential therapeutic target for this disease.

The features of myocardial strains from speckle-tracking echocardiography (STE) have not been well defined in fulminant myocarditis (FM) patients. In this study, changes in the left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) and global and layer-specific myocardial strains over time were monitored. We aimed to determine the echocardiographic patterns of FM and ascertain their significance in FM treatment. Twenty patients who were clinically diagnosed with FM and received mechanical life support were prospectively enrolled. Conventional echocardiographic measurements were obtained, and serial strain echocardiography was performed from admission to hospital discharge until LVEF recovery (> 50%). Global/regional peak systolic longitudinal strains (GLS/RLS) and layer-specific longitudinal strains were quantified, and their changes with time were monitored in 14 FM patients. All patients had severely impaired cardiac function. Steep improvement in LVEF and GLS were observed within 6 days. Layer-specific strain analysis showed that reduction at admission or recovery at discharge in the endocardium and epicardium strains were equal. In conclusion, FM patients who received mechanical circulatory supports exhibited steep improvement in ventricular function within 6 days. The patchy and diffused distribution pattern of reduced RLS and equally and severely impaired strain in the endocardium and epicardium are valuable features in the diagnosis of FM.

BACKGROUND:
The association between sex hormone-binding globulin (SHBG) and renal function has rarely been reported in men. We aimed to investigate the above association in a community-based Chinese population.
METHODS:
A total of 5027 men were included from the survey on prevalence for metabolic diseases and risk factors, which is a population-based study conducted from 2014 to 2016 in Eastern China. The estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) was calculated according to the chronic kidney disease Epidemiology Collaboration equation. Low eGFR was defined as eGFR <60 mL·min -1 ·1.73 m -2 .
RESULTS:
After adjusting for age, smoking, metabolic factors, and testosterone, through increasing quartiles of SHBG, a significantly positive association between SHBG quartiles and eGFR was detected in men (Q1 vs. Q4, β -2.53, 95% confidence interval -3.89, -1.17, Ptrend < 0.001). Compared with the highest quartile of SHBG, SHBG in the lowest quartile was associated with 96% higher odds of low eGFR (odds ratio 1.96, 95% confidence interval 1.10, 3.48) in the model after full adjustment. According to the stratified analyses, the associations between a 1-standard deviation increase in serum SHBG and the prevalence of low eGFR were significant in men aged ≥60 years old, waist circumference <90 cm, diabetes (no), hypertension (yes), dyslipidemia (no), and nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (no).
CONCLUSIONS
Lower serum SHBG levels were significantly associated with lower eGFR and a higher prevalence of low eGFR in Chinese men independent of demographics, lifestyle, metabolic-related risk factors, and testosterone. Large prospective cohort and basic mechanistic studies are warranted in the future.
