The convenient measures for medicine taking of chronic patients mainly depend on a long-range medicine taking mode. The diversity of prescription re-dispensing and research focus in the future in America were analyzed through data analysis, the significance of prescription re-dispensing in enhancing the compliance of patients was evaluated from the perspective of management, and how to achieve the multi-win-win situation for doctors, pharmacists, nurses and medical technicians was discussed in the study. Although the operation process and technical support process of the long-range medicine taking are detailed and concreted,it is necessary to further improve the mode according to the situation of the United States.

Objective To study the effects of intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG) on neonatal lymphocyte immune function. Methods Cord blood mononuclear cells (CBMCs) and CD3+ T lymphocytes were isolated from 8 neonates and were cultured with IVIG and/or/without phytohemagglutinin (PHA)based on which divided into five groups, i. e. (l)control group, (2)PHA activation group, (3) IVIG pre-inhibition group, (4) PHA pre-activation group and (5) PHA+IVIG group. The production of IFN-? and IL-4 of CBMCs and cord blood CD3+ T lymphocytes was measured with ELISA and the expression of IL-2 and IL-4 mRNA was measured with RT-PCR. The results were compared with peripheral blood mononuclear cells(PBMCs) of 8 adults. Results The production of IFN-y by CBMCs and cord blood CD3+ T lymphocytes induced by PHA decreased after IVIG was given, while more remarkable decrease in the CBMCs was shown without any association with IVIG was given or not before or after PHA was used [Group 2; (313. 34?108. 00)pg/ml, Group 3: (17. 68?17. 98) pg/ml, group 4 : (170. 72?38. 25) pg/ml, group 5: (11. 10?8. 92)pg/ml]. For the CD3+ T lymphocytes, the decrease of IFN-? production was only observed in group 3, 4 and group 5 [(35. 30 ?12. 21)pg/ml, (8. 61?6. 21) pg/ml and (8. 54?1. 57)pg/ml]. The degree of decrease of IFN-? production by CBMCs was much lower [group 2: (1121. 11 ? 344. 58)pg/ml, group 3: (29. 08 ? 11. 20)pg/ml, group 4: (339. 63?47. 43) pg/ml, group 5: (26.40?21. 97)pg/ml]. The secretion for IL-4 did not changed when stimulated by PHA alone, but IL-2 and IL-4 mRNAs expression can be detected in CBMCs after repeated stimulation by PMA, PHA and rIL-2 which decreased after IVIG was given. Conclusions IVIG can suppress the production of IFN-? in cord blood T lymphocyte directly or mediated by other immune cells or molecules. IVIG can also decreased the expression of IL-2 mRNA and IL-4 mRNA in CBMCs. The effect of IVIG on the proliferation of cord blood lymphocytes and production of immunoglobulin in B lymphocytes might be associated with these inhibition.

Over 3 000 pictures on five major parasites(schistosome, filaria, hookworm, leishmania and plas-modium)collected between 1950 and 1990 were edited and a searching system was established. The data can be used with a network-based version through a LAN system in the Institute. The adoption of Digital Computerized Management makes it possible for sharing resources in human parasitology.

Objective To investigate the effects of nursing intervention on the rehabilitation of patients with benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV).Methods 64 BPPV patients were randomly divided into control group and observation group, with 32 cases in each group. The control group received otorhinolaryngology routine nursing, while the observation group was managed with continuously systemic nursing interventions, including manipulative re-duction, psychological nursing intervention, health education, head nursing, follow -up and family nursing interven-tion.The Hamilton Anxiety Scale (HAMA) and Hamilton Depression Rating Scale (HDRS) were applied to evaluate the intervention effects. Results Cure rate of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group, and recurrence rate of the observation group was obviously lower than that of the control group(p <0.05).The anxiety and depression assessment of the observation group was significantly lower than that of the control group, with statistical difference (p <0.05).Conclusion Systemic nursing intervention can effectively improve the rehabilita-tion of patients with BPPV, and reduce recurrence rate.

This study tested the hypothesis that controlled reperfusion with warm blood cardioplegia containing mannitol would result in more effectively improved recovery of myocardial mitochondrial function by preventing or reducing a potentially harmful component of reperfusion. Myocardial mitochondrial function was significantly depressed after 60 min reperfusion, but slightly depressed in the controlled reperfusion group. Significantly increased MDA content and decreased SOD activity were observed after 60 min reperfusion. Hearts in the controlled reperfusion group had low MDA content and might protect the activity of SOD. The- results indicate that controlled reperfusion after ischemia provides benefit in avoiding myocardial mitochondrial reperfusion injury.

OBJECTIVE: To study the effect of melittin on apoptsis and necrosis of osteosarcoma cell line U2 OS in vitro. METHODS: Osteosarcoma cell line U2 OS was treated with melittin. The growth and proliferation was observed by MTT assay and cell counting, and the necrosis was estimated by Trypan blue staining. The cell apoptsis, Fas and Apo2. 7 expression were detected by cytometer. RESULTS: The data showed that melittin could inhibit the proliferation of U2 OS dose-dependently at 16 and 64 mg/L. Cell apoptsis was detected by cytometer, when the cells were treated by 16 mg/L and 32 mg/L of melittin respectively, and the percentages of Fas and Apo2. 7 positive cells were increased. CONCLUSION: Melittin inhibits the proliferation of osterosarcoma cell line through up-regulating Fas expression and inducing apoptsis.

BACKGROUND:Stem cels are induced to differentiate into endothelial-like cels that can be used for the treatment of diabetic lower extremity vascular disease. However, it is unclear whether these endothelial-like cels can completely replace endothelial cels to improve vascular disease and what are the differences between endothelial-like cels and endothelial cels. OBJECTIVE:To explore the differences and similarities between endothelial-like cels and human umbilical vein endothelial cels in the aspects of morphology, function, and viability. METHODS:Umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cels and umbilical vein endothelial cels were isolated, cultured and identified using flow cytometry and immunohistochemical method. Isolated umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cels were induced in DMEM-LG/F12 containing 10 μg/L vascular endothelial growth factor, 10 μg/L basic
fibroblast growth factor and 2% fetal bovine serum to differentiate into endothelial-like cels folowed by immunohistochemical identification. To compare endothelial-like cels with human umbilical vein endothelial cels, cel migration detection, active substance measurement and three-dimensional angiogenesis test were performed. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Isolated umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cels strongly expressed the surface markers of mesenchymal stem cels, and human umbilical vein endothelial cels strongly expressed CD31 and VWF. After induction, the umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cels were identified to highly express CD31 and VWF. Through cel migration, active substance and three-dimensional angiogenesis tests, endothelial-like cels were similar to endothelial cels in the function and activity, and superior to endothelial cels.
