1.Effect of cyclooxygenase-2 inhibitor in anti-leukemia
Journal of International Oncology 2012;39(6):462-464
Cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) plays an important role in the development of leukemia.COX-2 inhibitor plays a certain anti-leukemia role in the process. Many studies show that COX-2 inhibitor plays antileukemia role by inhibiting the proliferation of leukemia cell, promoting apoptosis, affecting cell cycle, inhibiting cell metastasis and reversing cell drug resistance and so on.Therefore, the researches about the anti-leukemia mechanisms of COX-2 inhibitor will provide a new target in clinical prevention and treatment of leukemia.
2.Investigate progress on risk factors and risk assessment of osteoporotic fractures.
China Journal of Orthopaedics and Traumatology 2014;27(3):261-265
Osteoporotic fracture is the most destructive ending of osteoporosis, many interacting risk factors play a role in its occurrence. With age, the bodies function decline gradually. Symptoms like soreness of the waist, back pain, cramp of the lower limb and weakness appears. These are related to TCM syndrome factors like kidney deficiency, liver deficiency, spleen deficiency and blood stagnation. Symptoms can act as a warning of the occurrence of osteoporotic fracture in the early stages. The risk assessment tool of osteoporotic fracture is mostly developed on the basis of modern risk factors and thus lacks syndrome differentiation, that may limit its utilization. If the relevant content of syndrome differentiation is integrated into the forecasting tool and a risk assessment tool of osteoporotic fracture which complies with the demographics of China is built up, population risk assessment for high of risk could be established and scientific evidence for the adoption of effective interventions could be applied.

Chinese Journal of Endocrinology and Metabolism 2016;32(12):1036-1040
The evaluation of glomerular filtration rate is important in the diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis for patients. Although there are different equations widely used and convenient, the accuracy of them on the specific populations, including diabetic patients and the elderlys, still needs further discussion. We recommend using the Chronic Kidney Disease Epidemiology Collaboration ( CKD-EPI) from creatinine and cystatin C in the elderlys. For diabetic patients, however, this equation should be recommended with cautions.

Chinese Pediatric Emergency Medicine 2015;22(8):563-566
Objective To assess the benefit of intraoperatively placed nasointestinal feeding tubes for early postoperative enteral nutrition. Methods The retrospective study was carried out on 19 cases of in-fants with long gap esophageal atresia who underwent one-stage operation in Xinhua Hospital from January 2006 to December 2013.Patients were divided into two groups according to whether the transanastomotic na-sointestinal feeding tubes(TNFT)were placed.Demographics, associated anomalies, operative findings,com-plications,duration of enteral nutrition(EN),length of stay were analyzed. Results Thirty-seven patients had long gap esophageal atresia and nineteen underwent one-stage operation.Eight patients were identified as TNFT group while eleven patients were identified as nonfeeding tube(NFT)group. There was no significant differences between the two groups in gestational age, birth weight, associated anomalies, anastomotic leak, weight gain,ICU-free days and length of stay(P>0.05).But the ventilator-free days(23.5 d vs.19.3 d), first EN time(0.8 d vs.9.1 d)and total EN feeding time(15.9 d vs.21.4 d)between the two groups were significantly different(P<0.05 ).Conclusion Intraoperatively placed TNFT may lead to earlier EN feeding and shorter parenteral nutrition duration, but a larger prospective study would be required to prove the benefits and ensure the safety.
6.Manipulative reduction and external fixation with cardboard splint for the treatment of calcaneal fractures: a 60-case report.
China Journal of Orthopaedics and Traumatology 2014;27(7):545-550
OBJECTIVETo investigate the therapeutic effects of manipulative reduction for calcaneal fractures.
METHODSFrom January 2009 to June 2012, 53 cases (60 affected feet) of Sanders type I-IV calcaneal fractures were treated by manipulative reduction and external fixation with cardboard splint, including 45 males and 8 females with an average age of (33.5 +/- 1.54) years old ranging from 18 to 65. The course of disease ranged 0.5 h to 7 d. Before treatment the feet were swelling, ache and activity limitation in evidence, some feet were wide flat deformity, the cortical bone was broken in the imaging examination. All selected cases were evaluated using Creighton-Nebraska health foundation assessment scale for fractures of calcaneus.
RESULTSAll cases were followed up at 12 months after treatment, 13 feet got excellent curative effect, 34 good, 11 moderate and 2 poor.
CONCLUSIONManipulative reduction for Sanders type I-IV calcaneal fractures could get excellent curative effect. Manipulative reduction for calcaneal fractures could avoid surgical trauma while assure high curative effects. Manipulative reduction is not only economical and easy therapy, but also can restore maximum function of the calcaneus with few complications and facilitate early rehabilitation of ankle and joint function.

Chinese Journal of Hepatobiliary Surgery 2011;17(1):70-72
The Hedgehog (Hh) signaling pathway plays a key role in the embryonic development, which is formed by the Hedgehog(Hh) , membrane-receptor complex Patched (Ptch) and Smoothened (Smo), multifunctional transcription factors Glioma-associated oncogene homolog (Gli) and other signal molecules. The Hh signaling pathway controls a variety of developing processes, however, no or less expression is observed in the normal pancreas tissues. The mutational activation of the Hh signaling pathway is associated with tumorigenesis and metastasis of the pancreatic cancer. The aim of this review is to present a brief overview of the Hedgehog signaling pathway in the mechanism of the tumorigenesis of the pancreatic cancer.

Chinese Journal of Trauma 1993;0(06):-
Objective To describe a new surgical approach to treatment of scapular neck and body fractures and evaluate the clinical outcomes. Methods From December 2002 to October 2004, 13 cases of the scapular neck and body fractures including 9 males and 4 females with age range of 22-48 years (mean 31 years) were admitted into our hospital. There were seven cases with neck fractures, two with associated clavicle fractures, six with mere body fractures, seven with associated subluxation of humeral head and three with associated rib fractures. Internal fixation and open reduction reconstruction using titanium plate and screws were for treatment of scapular neck and body fractures in all 13 cases by making straight incision along lateral border of the scapula. Results The operation lasted for 40-80 minutes, with intraoperative blood loss for 30-80 ml. The follow up for 4-24 months showed average fracture healing time for 6-8 weeks and satisfactory results in 10 cases. Conclusion The surgical approach with straight incision along the lateral border of the scapula can attain perfect reduction and internal fixation of scapular neck and body fractures as well as satisfactory functional recovery with minor (trauma.)

Progress in Biochemistry and Biophysics 2006;0(10):-
Using gene fusion technology, polypeptide fusion tags can be engineered into target proteins at the genetic level. The resultant recombinant proteins may possess the biochemical properties of the imported fusion tags. Therefore, it is possible to take advantage of fusion tags to improve and evaluate protein expression, to detect and track protein targets, and to purify and characterize proteins. However, it is necessary to eliminate any influence of the fusion tag in structural characterization experiments or in isolating pharmaceutical proteins.Scientists must therefore remove fusion tags prior to structural and functional analyses when fusion tags are suspected of interfering with the biological activity of a protein or influencing its behavior. The fusion tag can be removed by several methods including harsh chemical treatment, mild enzymatic cleavage by endoprotease or exoprotease, and intein-mediated self-cleavage.Here the literature is reviewed in relation to principles, applications, and approaches of each method.
