2.Anti-tumor research targeting IAPs
Chinese Pharmacological Bulletin 2016;32(5):612-615
Apoptosis inhibitors ( inhibitor of apoptosis proteins, IAPs) are a class of highly conserved apoptotic endogenous anti-cytokine family, primarily by inhibiting caspase activity and par-ticipation in regulation of nuclear factor NF-κB inhibition of ap-optosis. caspases cascade of protease activation is a central part of the apoptotic process, Bcl-2 family proteins and IAPs family proteins are the main controlling factors. In recent years, we found that abnormal expression of some IAPs members is closely associated with the tumor, a potential target for cancer therapy. Therefore, this paper reviews the major protein associated with IAPs family and anti-tumor research targeting IAPs.
4.Laparoscopic versus open radical hysterectomy for endometrial cancer: A prospective, randomized, controlled study
Chinese Journal of Minimally Invasive Surgery 2001;0(03):-
Objective To investigate the clinical effect of laparoscopic radical hysterectomy in the treatment of early-stage endometrial cancer. Methods A total of 60 consecutive patients preoperatively diagnosed as having stage Ⅰ or Ⅱ endometrial cancer from August 1998 to December 2004 was divided into two groups, receiving either laparoscopic(Laparoscopic Group) or open radical hysterectomy(Open Group).According to the involvement of the muscular layer, whether or not a pelvic lymphadenectomy was required was determined.Perioperative parameters and survival time were prospectively studied. Results As compared with the Open Group, the Laparoscopic Group presented a longer operation time(247.8?77.8 min vs 196.6?63.7 min;t=2.789,P=0.007),similar blood loss(265.0?187.6 ml vs 350.0?210.9 ml;t=-1.649,P=0.104),similar number of resected lymph nodes(22.0?5.0 vs 22.8?5.2;t=-0.607,P=0.546),insignificant difference in complication rate (10/30 vs 15/30;?2=1.714,P=0.190),earlier time to first passing flatus(44.3?11.1 min vs 55.2?12.8 min;t=-3.524,P=0.000),and shorter hospital stay(8.7?3.2 d vs 10.2?2.0 d;t=-2.177,P=0.034).The patients in the Laparoscopic Group were followed for 28.6?17.4 months with tumor-free survival. In the Open Group,a follow-up for 28.9?16.6 months found 3 deaths form metastasis or recurrence. Conclusions Laparoscopic radical hysterectomy and pelvic lymphadenectomy may be an alternative for early-stage endometrial carcinoma.
5.Advance in the treatment of senile unstable intertrochanteric fractures
Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2017;21(23):3760-3766
BACKGROUND:With more and more research available, there are different classification systems for intertrochanteric fracture, from Evans and Boyd-Griffin classification to Evans-Jensen and AO/OTA classification, all providing guidance for choosing an appropriate treatment scheme.OBJECTIVE:To review the advance in the treatment of senile unstable intertrochanteric fractures.METHODS:PubMed,Web of Science,WanFang and CNKI databases were searched with the keywords of intertrochanteric fracture, intramedullary nail, hip arthroplasty in English and Chinese,respectively.1 535 literatures were retrieved firstly, and finally 47 articles were included in accordance with the inclusion and exclusion criteria.RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:The therapy conception of intertrochanteric fractures has been changed from conservative traction to early surgical treatment. With the development of technology, the internal fixators have been improved continuously.Screw-plate system has been developed from Jewett plate,AO/ASIF plate to dynamic hip screw.Intramedullary nails such as Gamma, proximal femoral and proximal femoral antirotation nails have been successfully applied in clinic.Senile patients with unstable intertrochanteric fractures also obtain favorable prognosis through active internal fixation, but the high incidence of complications appears because of osteoporosis, osteogenesis deficiency and accompanied by degenerative hip diseases.Thereafter, hip arthroplasty is recommended to treat senile unstable intertrochanteric fractures so as to achieve rapid functional recovery, desired efficacy and low incidence of complications. However,it still remains controversial to choose internal fixation or hip arthroplasty.
6.Tinnitus: the mechanism of tinnitus centralization and clinical management.
Journal of Clinical Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery 2014;28(4):222-225
Tinnitus is the most common disease in Otology, and extremely difficult for treatment in clinic, abnormal events in the cochlea (the abnormal events can result in abnormal neuronal activity in central auditory pathways that can then be finally perceived as tinnitus). Neuroplasticity events at the auditory cortex (AC) have been reported to include hyperactive of cortical neurons and an increase in neuronal synchronization. Our recent studies showed the changes markedly, in the expression of the excitatory glutamate receptor subtype NR2B in mRNA and protein levels, and also some changes in synaptic ultrastructure of neurons in auditory cortex of tinnitus animal. We propose that the mechanisms of tinnitus centralization may arise from abnormal events in the cochlea, and result in abnormal neuronal activity at multiple levels which promote abnormal propagation of neural activity in the central auditory pathway. The plastic change may be positive and adaptive as with learning or memory, or in the compensation after abnormal events in the cochlea that results in new neuronal networks that restore normal function. Alternatively, the neuroplasticity changes might be maladaptive leading perhaps to an imbalance in excitatory and inhibitory events in the brain. Indeed, tinnitus may be the consequence of such maladaptive neuroplasticity brain alterations (synaptic structure) has even gone a step further and described tinnitus as the perceptual manifestation of plastic brain changes that result in abnormal neuronal activity. The neuroplasticity changes may also make tinnitus persists, eventually leading to the existence of tinnitus cochlear-originated in the central pathway. They may also extend to non-sensory areas of the brain giving rise to the attentional and emotional aspects that often accompany the disorder. New pathophysiological insights maybe prompt the development of management approaches to directly target the neuroplasticity processes correlates of tinnitus.

9.Clinical practice guideline for chronic myelogenous leukemia and its practice in China
Chinese Journal of Practical Internal Medicine 2003;0(01):-
Imatinib mesylate,as the first generation Bcr-Abl tyrosine kinase inhibitor, has brought revolutionary treatment for Philadelphia chromosome (Ph)-positive chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML);it has been recommended as the first-line treatment for CML by NCCN Practice Guidelines in Oncology in 2008 and European LeukemiaNet(ELN) criteria. However, imatinib has three limitations:first,it is expensive and can not be stopped if efficancy to be maintained;Second, some 20%~30% of patients develope resistance to imatinib;and third, the CML patients can not be cured with imatinib.Taking into consideration of the situation in China,we recommend individual therapy using TKI,HSCT,interferon and cytotoxic drugs for CML patients in China.
10.Development of Temperature Monitoring Device for Infant
Chinese Medical Equipment Journal 1989;0(01):-
Objective To develop a continuous temperature monitoring device for the infant, with the function of high temperature alarm. Methods The comparator and counter of MSP430F435 SCM and some peripheral circuits was applied to high-precision temperature measurement, and then the data were stored in the flash of MSP430F435 SCM.Results The device could display realtime temperature and alarm in case of abnormal temperature, which made continuous monitoring of 30 days realized. Conclusion The device, being low-cost,low-power-consumption and low-volume,is worth popularizing for dynamic monitoring of infant temperature.
