2.Analysis and Thinking on Neurological Complications in Patients with Chronic Renal Failure
World Science and Technology-Modernization of Traditional Chinese Medicine 2014;(10):2255-2258
Patients with chronic renal failure (CRF) are often complicated by a variety of central nervous system and peripheral neuropathy, which are complex, varied, and with serious complications of kidney failure at the end stage. In recent years, due to the blood dialysis method, organ transplantation and other methods, some neurological compli-cations associated with these treatments. Therefore, analysis and identification of complications in CRF patients are of great significance and can improve the survival rate. Common complications were analyzed and evaluated in this pa-per, for which can provide the basis for improvement of the diagnosis and treatment for renal failure.
3.Improving islet yield and function by pancreatic ductal preservation
Chinese Journal of Hepatobiliary Surgery 2010;16(11):867-869
Objective To determine whether pancreatic ductal preservation(pancreatic ductal injection of sparing TIUW solution at the time of pancreas procurement)can improve islet yield and function after cold preservation of pancreas. Methods Pancreases were classified into five groups:fresh pancreases(group1 ,n= 10);preserved for 6 hr in TIUW solution without and with pancreatic ductal preservation by TIUW solution(group2, n=10 and group3, n = 10);preserved for 24 hr in TIUW solution without and with pancreatic ductal preservation by TIUW solution(group4 ,n= 10 and group5,n= 10).Dithizon(DTZ)staining was used to identify islet morphous and yield, trypan blue uptake(TBU)was used to assess the nonviability of islets, the insulin secretory response to glucose was used to evaluate islet function in vitro, islet transplantation was used to determine islet function in vivo. Results Islet yields per pancreas after purification in group 1 to 5 were 590± 127, 272 ± 50,454 ± 65, 253± 56, 447 ± 66(islet equivalent ± SD), respectively.Percentage of nonviable islets in grouplto5were(5.7±4.2)%,(18.3±6.5)%,(11.7±4.2)%,(26.3±5.6)%,(15.0±5.3)%.Stimulation index in group 1 to 5 were 7.32±2.32, 4.81±1.17, 7.56±2.44, 2.88±1.00, 5.71±1.90.Cure rates in group 1 to 5 were 100%, 0%, 100%, 0%, 70%.In this study, the differences were significant between control groups and experimental groups(P<0.05, group 2 vs.group3 and group4 vs.group5).Conclusion The pancreatic ductal preservation can improve islet yield and function.
4.Oncolytic adenovirus in tumor targeted therapy
Journal of International Oncology 2009;36(11):815-818
Oncolytic adenovirus is known to carry out the transformation of adenovirus, which has kill-ing role on tumor defective gene phenotypes, and Can be used as vector for tumor targeted tbempy drugs. At pres-ent,H101 and dl1520 and other biological products are gained from adenovirus type 5-specific gene fragments, which targeted tumor cell defects in the p53 gene expression, can specifically recognize tumor cells and Carry out proliferation and lysis of tumor cells. These biological products can be used as vectors to carry the anti-tumor genes and result in more powerful anti-tumor effects.
6.Comparing inhibition effects of four antihistamines on chemokines and cytokines expression of cultured nasal polyps in vitro
Journal of Third Military Medical University 2003;0(24):-
Objective To investigate the inhibition effects of different antihistamines on the expressions of chemokines and cytokines released by nasal polyps in vitro. Methods The fresh nasal polyps resected under endoscope from the patients admitted to our hospital were cultured with mizolastine, cetirizine, loratadine, fexofenadine, dexamethasone,or ciclosporin A respectively for 24 h,with the addition of histamine and arachidonic acid. The total RNA of polyps was obtained and purified with tripure isolation reagent. The mRNA expression levels of monocyte chemoattractant protein-1(MCP-1),monocyte chemoattractant protein-3(MCP-3),regulated on activation, normal T cell expressed and secreted(RANTES),eotaxin were analyzed by RT-PCR.The concentrations of interleukin(IL)-4,IL-5 and tumor necrosis factor-?(TNF-?)in cultured supernatant was detected by ELISA.Results The MCP-1 mRNA expression in nasal polyps treated by mizolastine was weaker than those by loratadine and fexofenadine;the MCP-3 mRNA expression by mizolastine was weaker than those by cetirizine and loratadine;the RANTES mRNA expression by mizolastine was weaker than those by loratadine and fexofenadine;the eotaxin mRNA expression by mizolastine was weaker than that by cetirizine(all P
7.The relationship between the imbalance of the Th1/Th2 cytokines and autoimmune thyroid disease.
Chinese Journal of Practical Internal Medicine 2001;0(03):-
Objective To analysis the serum levels of the Th1/Th2 cytokines interleukine-2 and interleukine-5 in patients with autoimmune thyroid disease(AITD) and investigate the relationship between the imbalance of Th1/Th2 cytokines and the pathogenesis of AITD.Methods 20 healthy as controls and 75 patients were studied.45 patients suffered from GD,30 patients suffered from HT.The serum concentrations of interleukine-2(IL-2) and interleukin-5(IL-5),representative cytokines of Th1 and Th2 cells respectively, were assayed by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).Results(1)Compared with HT group and controls, the concentration of IL-5 in GD group was remarkably increased(P
8.Ketogenic diet antiepileptic mechanism and the application of children
Journal of Chinese Physician 2016;18(12):1917-1920
The ketogenic diet (KD) is a similar diet fasting state that is high in fat and low carbohydrate.KD is used in the treatment of refractory epilepsy, but the mechanism is not completely clear.According to the current research progress, the mechanism of KD is antiepilepsy. This paper reviewed the progress of the application of KD in the elucidation of several metabolic diseases and epilepsy syndrome caused by epilepsy. With the further development of the antiepilepsy mechanism of KD in the future,it will not only guide the application of more diseases, but also provide a scientific theoretical basis for the discovery of new antiepileptic drugs.
9.Investigation of Residents’Perceptions for Pharmaceutical Care When Purchasing OTC Drugs in Yinchuan
China Pharmacy 2016;27(30):4197-4199
OBJECTIVE:To explore consumers’perceptions for pharmaceutical care by community pharmacist when purchas-ing OTC drugs. METHODS:Semi-structured interview was conducted for 100 consumers who were recruited in Xingqing District, Jinfeng District and Xixia District of Yinchuan,Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, their expection for pharmaceutical care by com-munity pharmacists was summarized. RESULTS:Totally 100 residents were interriewed, and 97 completed a full interview with ef-fective interview rate of 97%. Consumers still did not clearly on distinguishing the OTC drugs. The majority of consumers chosen OTC drugs were based on experience and brand,a handful of consumers were under the guidance of community pharmacists. Con-sumers were most concerned about the efficacy, adverse reactions and drug quality in using OTC drugs. Most consumers were not satisfied with the pharmaceutical care in purchasing OTC drugs. Nevertheless, due to a lack of medicine knowledge, consumer had a great demand for pharmaceutical care and willingness to accept it. Low professional level of community pharmacist and staff in current community pharmacy and lack of effective communication between pharmacist and consumer were the obstacles of develop-ing pharmaceutical care. CONCLUSIONS:Because of their distrust on competence of community pharmacist, consumers seek less pharmaceutical care of OTC drugs at community pharmacy though they had expectations on pharmaceutical care of OTC drugs by community pharmacist. Consumers’rely on self-choice of drugs make them exposed to more drug risks.
10.On the Health Risk Links Involved in the Self-Medication of Chinese Urban Residents
China Pharmacy 2007;0(34):-
OBJECTIVE:To discuss the health risk links involved in self-medication of Chinese urban residents. METHODS: Based on literature study and the experts consultation, the high risk links of the self-medication were defined according to the process of self-medication behavior and the probability of the health harm involved in the self-medication behavior, and the intervention suggestions were put forward for the health risks. RESULTS & CONCLUSIONS: The health risk links involved in self-medication of Chinese urban residents appear as 6 links include self-diagnostic error, incorrect drug choice, failing to understand or follow drug package inserts in taking drugs, irrational drug use, unaware of the drug contraindication, disregarding the physiological particularity of the special drug users. Carrying out education on self-mediation and behavior management among the residents, and reinforcing the government control are the effective ways to reduce the health risk of self-medication.
