Objective To investigate the therapeutic effectiveness and safety of mycophenolate mofetil (MMF) in the treatment of chronic allograft dysfunction (CAD).Methods Seventy-eight patients with CAD were administrated with MMF substituting for Aza or CTX with concomitant low-dose CsA. The effectiveness and complications were analyzed. To explore the relationship between serum total bile acid concentration and fetal prognosis in patients with intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy (ICP).A total of 131 ICP patients were divided into mild and severe ICP groups according to serum total bile acid concentration.And another 100 normal subjects during the same period were selected as control group.Their medical records and fetal prognoses were analyzed.The serum total bile acid,liver enzyme and lipid concentration of ICP patients were all significantly higher than those of the controls (P ＜ 0.01).The fetal prognoses of ICP patients were significantly different with those of controls (P ＜ 0.05).A high serum level of total bile acid of ICP patients may produce serious adverse effects on fetal prognosis.

Objective To investigate effects of multimodal analgesia on cytokines and cortisol levels in patients received surgical treatment for radical colon cancer.Methods Eighty-six patients with radical colon cancer treated with surgery were randomly divided into control group and observation group.The control group only received routine epidural anesthesia and the observation group received multimodal analgesia.Preoperative and postoperative VAS scores,cytokines and cortisol levels were measured.Results Compared with those of the control group,the following 5 indicators decreased significantly in the observation group including VAS scores of after 24 h,48 h,72 h,IL-8 and TNF-α after 24 h,IL-6,IL-8 and TNF-α after 48 h,Cor after 24h,and Cor and ACTH after 48 h (P＜0.05).Conclusion Perioperative multi-mode analgesia helps relieve pain,stress and inflammatory cytokines among patients after the surgery for radical colon cancer.

Objective To investigate the relationship bet wee n cytomegalovirus (CMV) infection and the production of anticardiolipin antibody (ACA) in renal transplant recipients.Methods Polymerase c hain reaction (PCR) was used qualitat ively for detection of CMV-DNA in 146 renal transplant recipients.Meanwhile,enz yme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) was used for detection of ACA-IgG in bl ood serum samples from these recipients and 32 healthy individuals. Results The ACA positive rate was 17.1% among the 146 ren al transplant recipients,and that of the control group was 6.3%.There was no sig nificant difference.However,the ACA positive rate of the renal transplant recipi ents infected with CMV was 31.2%.It was clearly higher than that of those with n o infection of CMV and that of the control group (P＜0.005). Con clusion The production of ACA was closely related to CMV infection.It m ight be one of the factors of chronic angiopathy of the transpl anted kidney due to CMV infection.

Objective: To study the effect of HSVtk/GCV system on ascites tumors. Methods: Using the methods of modified XTT assay, animal experiment, transmission electron microscopy (TEM ) and flow cytometric ( FCM) assay. Results: The sensitivity of P388tk cell was about 37-fold than that of their patental P388 cell. Furthermore we found P388tk cells exhibited potent bystander killing. In vivo , the growth of tumors, which were produced by injecting P388tk cells or a mixture of 50% P388tk cells and 50% P388 cells into DBA/2 mice, was inhibited , furthermore mice survival periods were prolonged contrasted to control groups. Conclusion: HSVtk/GCV suicide gene system could effectively killed the HSVtk-gene-positive P388tk cells and nearby HSVtk-gene-negative cells by the bystander effect in vitro and in vivo.

Objective To study rDNA ITS sequence similarities and differences between the de-virus seedlings and outside seedlings of Pseudostellaria heterophylla. Methods The sequences of ITS region (including ITS1, ITS2, and 5.8S) from nine de-virus seedlings and four outside seedlings were studied by the method of DNA sequence analysis. Results There were the same sequences in 5.8S region between the de-virus seedlings and outside seedlings of P. heterophylla. Variable sites lay in the initial position of ITS1 and termination of ITS2 basically. The de-virus seedlings from Liyang (Jiangsu Province) and Xuancheng (Anhui Province) had more variable sites. Phylogenetic dendrogram based on ITS was constructed by using UPGMA methods, which showed the inherent relation at the level of molecular biology. Conclusion The analysis of rDNA ITS of P. heterophylla has further clarified the inherit stability of de-virus seedlings at the molecular level.

Objective:To select the differentially expressed vascular smooth muscle cell(VSMC) apoptosis gene induced by icariin,glucose regulated protein 78(GRP78),to observe the expression of GRP78 in atherosclerosis tissue and to the elucidate the mechanism of anti-atherosclerosis of icariin.Methods:The model was established by using halfcystine in viro.The vascular smooth muscle cell was incubated with various concentrations of icariin for 48 hours.The apoptosis was detected by TUNEL assay.GRP78 gene was amplificated by PCR,recombinant plasmid were constructed,transfected into E.coli,positive clonings were selected and conf irmed by restriction endonucleas analysis,and sequence-ed.Tissue situ hybridization was used to observe the GRP78 expression in atherosclerosis tissue.Results:Icariin promoted obviously vascular smooth muscle cell apoptosis.Furthermore,the fragment,648bp,was similar to the gene of GRP78 from VSMC,and the expression level was signif icantly higher in high cholesterol group than in control nroup.Conclusions:The GRP78 plays a key role in inducing atherosclerotic lesions.The mechanism of anti-atherosclerosis of icariin might be partly due to promoting apoptosis of vascular smooth muscle cell.
