Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 1994;0(04):-
Objective To explore the influence of thyroid status on serum level of leptin and expression of leptin mRNA in rats with hypothyroidism or hyperthyroidism. Methods Fifty rats were artificially rendered hyperthyroidism and hypothyroidism by L-thyroxine or methimazole and divided into 5 groups. The serum of T 3,T 4,TSH,leptin concentration and expression of leptin mRNA were measured in 5 groups. Results Serum leptin concentration was significantly correlated with weight of rats in 5 groups(P

Chinese Journal of Orthopaedics 1996;0(09):-
Objective To study the effects of calcitonin on bone mineral density(BMD), bone strength and bone fragile fracture in osteoporosis. Methods This is a one year, single centered, prospective and randomized, opening study: 135 patients with osteoporosis were divided into calcitonin+calcium group and calcium group. Patients of calcitonin+calcium group received salmon calcitonin(Miacalcic was injected intramuscularly, 50 IU/day in first week, 50 IU/two days in second week and 50 IU/twice/week later) and calcium(calcium 600 mg/day), patients in another group received calcium(calcium 600 mg/day). The determination markers included serum calcium, serum phosphate, serum alkline phosphatase, osteocalcin and urine hydroxyproline before and after treatment, at same time all patients were examined by DEXA(lumbar, hip) and QUS(radius, tibia). Results After 1 year treatment, 53 patients of calcitonin+calcium group and 59 patients of calcium group were followed up. In calcitonin+calcium group, BMD of lumbar spine increased about 1%(P

Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2004;0(12):-
Objective To investigate the changes of serum interleukin 8(IL-8) level in children with thyroid disfunction and its clinical significance in children with autoimmune thyroid disease(AITD).Method Serum IL-8 of 30 children with hyperthyroidism,16 children with hypotyroidism and 20 health children were detected by double antibody enzyme linked immunossorbent assay(ELISA).Results Serum IL-8 levels in hyperthyroidism and hypothyroidism children were significantly higher than that in controls(P0.05).With the remission of the diseases, IL-8 levels decreased; there was a significant difference between serum IL-8 levels in patients before and after therapy (P

Chinese Medical Equipment Journal 1989;0(04):-
Although the type of XHD150B-IO 800mA X-ray machine possesses a damage protection electric circuit for the main thyristors, with the first switch of photographic hand valve pressed, abnormal instant exposure still appears when double (in different phase) or more than three main thyristors are broken through, short-circuited or mis-energized, and consequently the high voltage element or X-ray machine will break down. Therefore the original electric circuit must be improved. Material: A few of leads. Method: We exchange the conjunction sequence of three NO (normal open) contacting points of radiograph high voltage preparing work relay--MAG SW- R with three reverse parallel connection of main thyristors. Conclusion: The normal procedure of radiographic exposure won't be disturbed after the improvement. When whichever one or more than two main thyristors is broken through, short-circuited or mis-energized, the spoilage can be detected instantly and the protection circuit works correspondingly, which guarantees the safety of X-ray machine.

The contents of schisandrin, schizandrin A, B and C were determined by HPLC, and the effects of the climate factors and altitude on lignin contents were analyzed in order to select the optimal cultivation area of S. chinensis. The lignin contents were analyzed by HPLC using a ZORBAX SB-C18 column (4.6 mm x 250 mm, 5 microm). The column temperature and detection wave length were set at 35 degrees C and 254 nm, respectively. Methanol-water was used as the mobile phase in gradient elution mode and the flow-rate was 1.0 mL min(-1). The method had a good repeatability, stability and accuracy. The correlation of climate factors and lignins contents was analyzed by SPSS software. The results showed that the schizandrin A content in S. chinensis fruits were higher than 0.4% in Ji'an, Liuhe, Antu and Fusong in Jilin province, which met the quality requirement. It had significant linear negative correlation relationship between schisandrin, schizandrin A, B and altitude, the contents decreased with the increase of altitude. The significant negative linear fitting coefficient was 0.844 1 between schisandrin and altitude; but it had not significant correlation between schizandrin C and altitude. A significant positive correlation of climate factors and the contents of S. chinensis lignins were mainly the temperature factors (the average annual temperature, the highest temperature in July, the average temperature in July, the highest temperature in January, the average temperature in January) and precipitation factor (average annual precipitation), which reveals that higher temperature and precipitation were helpful to the formation and accumulation of lignins of S. chinensis. So the cultivation area of S. chinensis should be in the low elevations region with warm and rainy climate.

Chinese Journal of Perinatal Medicine 2016;19(7):506-510
ObjectiveTo analyze the clinical characteristics of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) in neonates.MethodsFrom July 2010 to July 2015, seven neonates were diagnosed with IBD in Affiliated BaYi Children's Hospital, Clinical Medical College in Chinese People's Liberation Army General Hospital, Southern Medical University. The data regarding these neonatal cases were analyzed and compared with 45 children with IBD from literature. Thet-test andChi-square test were used for statistical analysis of the data.ResultsSix cases had ulcerative colitis, and one case had Crohn's disease, both occurred 2-20 days after birth, and were characterized by diarrhea, no increase in body weight, anemia and intermittent higher hypersensitive C-reactive protein. Compared with IBD in children, abdominal pain and abdominal mass were rarer, while anemia was more common in neonatal IBD. All fecal cultures and blood cultures in the seven cases of neonatal IBD were negative. Abdominal X-ray revealed intestinal wall thickening in four cases. Multiple ulcers were observed from the cecum to the rectum by colonoscopy. Chronic intestinal mucosal inflammation associated with acute inflammation were found on pathological examination. Six infants received treatment with 5-aminosalicylic acid (combined with glucocorticoid in four cases), and one received glucocorticoid treatment only. One infant was started on infliximab treatment from two years old. One of these seven cases died one month after discharge due to refusal to continue treatment, and the disease was controlled in the other six cases. After treatment, one infant was lost to follow-up six months after discharge, two were cured at six and 12 months old without further treatment, and three improved and continued treatment.ConclusionsIn neonates with diarrhea, anemia and no increase in body weight, especially when antibiotic treatment is ineffective, colonoscopy should be performed to facilitate early diagnosis of IBD. Standard treatments result in good outcomes.
