2.Neoadjuvant therapy of liver metastases form colorectal cancer
International Journal of Surgery 2009;36(11):773-776
With the development of peaple's life and the change of diet, the incidence rate of colorectal cancer is increasing. There are Twenty-five percent of patients were found liver metastases in the first diago-sis. Surgical resection of liver metastases from colorectal cancer is known to be associated with long term sur-vival. So it is the key to increase the resection rate for colorectal cancer patients with liver metastases. The in-curruence of neoadjuvant therapy may be useful in therapy of colorectal cancer patients with liver mtastases.

Objective: Our aim was to evaluate the biocompability of porcelain compounded with nanostructured material. Methods:The proliferation of the NIH3T3 cells were investigated using a tetrazolium-based colorimetric assay(MTT assay).Maceration extract of four tested materials were added into culture plate .The samples were tested with ultraviolet spectrophotometer in 490 wavelength at 1,3,5,7 days after the addition of extract. Morphology of these cells was also observed with phase-contrast microscope. Results: There was no obvious difference among three kinds of prosthetic materials in the optical absorbance and the cells growing in the extract showed normal morphology. Conclusion: The toxicity graduation of the porcelain compounded with nanostructured material is 0. This material has a good biocompability and can be used clinically.

Journal of Practical Stomatology 2000;0(06):-
Objective: To study the vitro bioactivity of the Ti-24Nb-4Zr-7.9Sn (TNZS) disks modified by anodic oxidation(AD) and its effects on adhesion of human osteoblast-like MG63 cells. Methods:The TNZS titanium alloy disks were treated with anodic oxidation and the bioactivity was assessed by investigating the formation of apatite on the film surface after soaking in simulated body fluids. The surface composition of the specimens after immersion was evaluated by EDX and X-ray diffraction. MG63 osteoblast-like cells were seeded on the Ti6Al4V,TNZS,AD-TNZS disks, and then the number of attached cells were counted and the cell morphology was examined at each given period. Results:The apatite can form on the treated TNZS disks after soaking in SBF for 6 days. The ratio of attached MG63 on AD-TNZS disks after 60 or 120 min seeding were significant higher than that on other samples and the cells on AD-TNZS disks spread better. Conclusion:The TNZS alloy modified by anodic oxidation can induce apatite formation in SBF and increase the early attachment of osteoblasts.

Journal of Clinical Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery 2016;30(4):310-313
OBJECTIVE:
To investigate the expression of Testin gene, and analyze its possible relationship with the clinicopathological features of human nasopharyngeal carcinoma.
METHOD:
The expression of Testin in nasopharyngeal carcinoma tissues were detected by immunohistochemistry methods, semi-quantitative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction and Western blot. The correlations of Testin to clinicopathologic features of nasopharyngeal carcinoma were analyzed.
RESULT:
The positive expression rate of Testin in NPC biopsy tissue was 37.8% (17/ 45), while it was 88.9% (40/45) in the normal tissue; The expression of Testin mRNA was significantly lower than that in the normal tissue (P < 0.01); The expression levels of Testin protein in the NPC biopsy tissue by Western blot were lower than that in the normal tissue (P < 0.01); The expression of Testin in the tumor tissue had no significant correlation with sex, age (P > 0.05); but it had significant correlation with lympho node metastasis, distant metastasis and differentiation degree.
CONCLUSION
The decreased expression of Testin gene may play an importmant role in the development of nasopharyngeal carcinoma. And thus Testin gene might be a novel candidate of tumor-suppressor. It may be an objective marker for prognostic factor and malignant level for nasopharyngeal carcinoma.

Chinese Journal of Digestion 2001;0(09):-
Objective To investigate the expression and possible function of tumor susceptibility gene 101 (TSG101) in multidrug-resistant cell lines of gastric cancer. Methods The expression of TSG101 was examined in gastric cancer cell line SGC7901 and its vincristine(VCR)-resistant subline SGC7901/VCR with semi -quantitative RT-PCR and Western blot. TSG101 eukaryotic expression vector was transfected into SGC7901 cells by lipofectamine TM 2000. The expression levels of TSG101 in SGC7901 and the transfectants were detected with Western blot. Fluorescence-activated cell sorting was applied to examine the cell cycle alteration and the intracellular mean fluorescence intensity of adriamycin (ADR). Growth curve and drug sensitivity of cells to VCR and ADR were analyzed by MTT assay. Results TSG101 was highly expressed in VCR resistant gastric cancer cells. The expression of TSG101 in TSG101 transfectants was up-regulated compared with that in SGC7901 transfected with empty vector or in SGC7901 cells. TSG101 transfectants were accumulated in S phase, with a concomitant decrease of cell population in G 1 phase. MTT assay showed that TSG101 transfectants proliferated rapidly and were more resistant to VCR and ADR than control cells. Conclusions The over-expression of TSG101 could promote the multidrug resistance phenotype of sGC7901 cells. TSG101 may play a certain role in multidrug resistance of gastric cancer.
