OBJECTIVE To study the carbapenemase genotypes among Acinetobacter calcoaceticus isolates infected after liver transplantation. METHODS The 5.4 software was used to analyze the resistance of Acinetobacter species. Eight strains of imipenem-resistant A. calcoaceticus which were resistant to multiple drugs were collected. Analytical isoelectric focusing electrophoresis was used to measure the pI of the ?-lactamase. The homology of the isolates was determined by pulsed field gel electrophoresis(PFGE). blaTEM, blaSHV, blaIMP, blaVIM, blaOXA Genes for resistant isolates were amplified and sequenced. RESULTS Imipenem-resistant A. calcoaceticus infected after liver transplantation was resistant to multiple drugs. All of 8 strains were produced OXA-23 carbapenemases (pI of 6.7). The results of PFGE indicated there was a trend of resistant clone transmisstion in the transplantation ward. CONCLUSIONS There is a transmisstion of A. calcoaceticus producing OXA-23 carbapenemase in the transplantation ward of our hospital. It is important to monitor powerfully the bacterial resistance to control infection more effectively.

Objective To establish a new T staging system for nasopharyngeal carcinoma ( NPC) based on magnetic resonances imaging ( MRI) and intensity?modulated radiotherapy ( IMRT) . Methods A retrospective analysis was performed on the clinical data of 608 patients who were newly diagnosed with non?metastatic NPC by MRI and treated with IMRT in our hospital from 2008 to 2010. All patients were staged according to the 7th edition of the UICC/AJCC staging system for NPC. The survival rates were calculated using the Kaplan?Meier method and analyzed using the log?rank test. The Cox regression model was used for multivariate analyses. To deal with the deficiency in the current UICC/AJCC staging system, a new T staging system for NPC was established and systematically evaluated. Results The 5?year follow?up rate was 94?5%. The 5?year overall survival (OS), disease?free survival, local relapse?free survival (LRFS), and distant metastasis?free survival rates were 81?5%, 80?1%, 86?0%, and 81?1%, respectively. The univariate and multivariate analyses showed that the anatomic structures of nasopharynx, parapharyngeal space, and skull base were influencing factors for the OS rate (P=0?000?0?045). New T staging criteria were proposed based on the risk differences and survival curves:stage T1:invasion of the nasopharynx, parapharyngeal space, oropharynx, nasal cavity, skull base, and internal pterygoid muscle;stage T2:invasion of the external pterygoid muscle, paranasal sinus, intracalvarium, infratemporal fossa, and cranial nerves. The proposed T staging system achieved a good separation in both OS and LRFS curves. Conclusions The proposed new T staging system gives an objective prognostic prediction in patients with NPC, which provides an exploratory attempt toward a new clinical staging system for NPC.

ObjectiveTo systematically evaluate the efficacy and safety of glycyrrhizin in patients with chronic severe hepatitis B. MethodsLiterature published from January 1990 to July 2014 were searched in databases including PubMed, Cochrane Library, CBMdisc, CNKI, VIP, and Wanfang Data. The randomized controlled trials comparing the efficacy of glycyrrhizin combined with internal comprehensive therapy versus internal comprehensive therapy alone in patients with chronic severe hepatitis B were included in the analysis. The methodological quality of included trials was independently assessed and the data were extracted. Meta-analysis was carried out with Review Manager Software 5.1, and the heterogeneity, sensitivity, and bias of the analysis were evaluated. ResultsSeven randomized controlled trials involving 298 patients in the test group and 294 in the control group were included in the analysis. The results of meta-analysis showed that glycyrrhizin combined with internal comprehensive therapy was remarkably more effective than internal comprehensive therapy alone, indicated by significantly reduced mortality rate [relative risk(RR)=0.56, 95% confidenceinterval(CI):0.42~0.76, P<0.01], significantly decreased level of total bilirubin (TBil) [mean difference(MD)=-92.56, 95%CI:-122.92~-62.20, P<0.01], and significantly higher prothrombin activity (PTA) [mean difference(MD)=11.14, 95% CI:5.40~16.87, P<0.01]. No severe adverse reactions were found in all patients. ConclusionGlycyrrhizin can significantly reduce the mortality and improve TBil and PTA in patients with chronic severe hepatitis B.

Journal of Biomedical Engineering 2009;26(5):963-966
This paper is mainly devoted to the relationship between the correlation dimension (CD) of exercise heart rate variability (EHRV) and the status of cardiovascular function. Hypertensive patients and healthy people were enrolled in two contrast groups. Dynamic electrocardiograph (ECG) in step exercise was recorded. EHRV was extracted by wavelet transform. The CDs in the whole course of exercise and in three stages of exercise were calculated, the three stages being named rest-before-exercise, during-exercise, and after-exercise. SPSS software was used for statistical analysis. The results revealed all the CDs showed significant difference between two groups except that in the stage of during exercise. By discrimination analysis, the average correct rate was 92.2%. It indicated that the CD in stress status probably could be an effective non-linear parameter for assessing cardiovascular function status.

Chinese Journal of School Health 2021;42(10):1568-1570
Objective:
To analyze the epidemiological characteristics of HIV/AIDS infected students in Shandong Province, to provide a basis for the prevention and control of AIDS transmission in the student population.
Methods:
All 863 HIV/AIDS students cases during 2010-2019 were collected in Shandong Province. Epidemiological characteristics was described and the trends in the 10 years since 2010 was analyzed.
Results:
These 863 HIV/AIDS students were mainly transmitted through homosexual sex (763 cases, 88.41%), and the samples were mainly from voluntary consultation testing (433 cases, 50.17%). From 2010 to 2019, the proportion of student cases in the total number of cases showed an increasing trend ( χ 2 trend =30.21, P <0.01). Among them, the proportion of homosexual transmission cases increased year by year ( χ 2 trend =6.35, P =0.01), the proportion of cases aged 18-22 years increased year by year ( χ 2 trend =6.10, P =0.01), the proportion of cases with college degree or above increased year by year ( χ 2 trend =4.26, P =0.04). At present, voluntary consultation testing were the main source. There was no significant difference between the years of sample sources ( χ 2 trend =2.97, P =0.09).
Conclusion
The report number of students in Shandong Province are on the rise in recent years, especially those infected by same sex transmission, mainly with high education background, which calls for targeted strategies and intervention measures.
