4.Effects of hirudo and earthworm liquor extract on syndecan-1 in rats with experimental cerebral ischemia reperfusion
Chinese Journal of Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics 2002;0(05):-
AIM: To investigate the effect of hirudo and earthworm liquor extract on the expression of syndecan-1 in focal cerebral ischemia reperfusion rats and the relationship between syndecan-1 expression and cellists underlying antiinflammatory mechanism. METHODS: The MCAO models of rats were built with the intraluminal filament occlusion. Rats' brains were cut at the levels of the hippocampus as the templates. Immunohistochemistry staining and HE staining were used to facilitate the observation of the distribution and the quantities of cells with expression of syndecan-1 and the pathological change of MCAO ischemia 2 h reperfusion 4, 24, 72 h and 7 d with hirudo and earthworm liquor extract or saline treatment, respectively. RESULTS: Hirudo and earthworm liquor extract could upregulate the expression of syndecan-1 on ischemia/ reperfusion in rats' brains, especially at 72 h. The numbers of syndecan-1 cells got peak, hirudo and earthworm extract liquor could downregulate polynucleation inflammatory cells at 24 and 72 h. The expression of inflammatory cells in both hirudo and earthworm liquor extract group and saline group at 4 h was not significant. Hirudo and earthworm extract liquor downregulated the monocytic inflammation cells infiltration at 7 d. CONCLUSION: Hirudo and earthworm liquor extract can upregulate the expression of syndecan-1 on ischemia reperfusion in rats' brains. The upregulation of syndecan-1 can decrease inflammatory cell infiltrate.
5.Syndecan-1 expression in perilesional zone of cerebral ischemia/reperfusion rat
Journal of Third Military Medical University 2003;0(14):-
Objective To explore the expression of syndecan-1 in different intervals following focal cerebral ischemia/reperfusion in rat and the relationship between syndecan-1 and inflammatory cells in the rat brain. Methods The rat model of middle cerebral artery occlusion(MACO) was performed by using the intraluminal filament occlusion for 2 h,then released. The rat brain were cut in the coronal planes at the levels of the hippocampus as the templates. The immunohistochemical staining and HE staining were used to observe the distribution and the quantity of syndecan-1 and inflammatory cell expression in the normal control group, sham operation group and the MCAO groups at 4,24,72 h and 7 d after reperfusion. Results The expression of syndecan-1 was mainly in the cortex and the subcortex in the rats of normal control group and sham operation group. The immunoreactivity of syndecan-1 in the infarcted core and perilesional infarcted zone started decreasing at 4 h after ischemia/reperfusion,reached the lowest at 24 h.The expression of syndecan-1 in the perilesional infarcted zone was up-regulated at 72 h and recovered at 7 d.The relationship between syndecan-1 and inflammatory cells was of negative correlation. Conclusion The decreasing of syndecan-1 may contribute to inflammatory response in the cerebral infarction region after focal cerebral ischemia/reperfusion.
6.Correlative study on thrombelastogram and hemorrhagic transformation after acute ischemic stroke
International Journal of Laboratory Medicine 2017;38(8):1040-1042
Objective To investigate the correlation between indexes of thrombelastogram (TEG) and hemorrhagic transformation (HT) after acute ischemic stroke. Methods The cases of acute ischemic stroke but not receiving early reperfusion therapy were recruited in our hospital from January to November 2016,and were divided into HT group and non-HT group.Their general clinical characteristics and TEG indexes were retrospectively analyzed, and comparison between two groups and multivariate Logistic regression analysis were performed. Results A total of 71 cases were enrolled and 11 of them were divided into HT group. The percentages of massive cerebral infarction and cardio-embolic stroke were significantly higher in HT group than those in non-HT group (P<0.05),whereas the levels of CI in HT group were significantly lower than thoes in non-HT group(P<0.05).Multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that massive cerebral infarction (OR=13.172,95%CI:1.414-122.671) and CI(OR=0.554,95%CI:0.321-0.956) were independently correlated with HT(P<0.05).Conclusion CI is independently correlated with HT after acute ischemic stroke, and may be a potential predictor of HT.

8.The protective effect of levodopa on model of Parkinson diseased rats
Chinese Journal of Geriatrics 2001;0(01):-
Objective To investigate the effect of levodopa on Parkinson's disease rats induced by 6-OHDA lesioned in different degrees. Methods Each group of PD rats whose nigrostriatal had been previously lesioned unilaterally by 6-OHDA received levodopa or saline injections twice daily for three weeks. The rotational behavior, immunohistochemistry and GSH level were observed. Results The rotational behavior ameliorated levodopa was seen only in severely lesioned PD rat. The levels of GSH in striatum were upregulated by levodopa treatment in moderately and severely lesioned PD rats. The number of tyrosine hydroxylase immunorecative neurofibers in the striatum were increased in mildly and moderately lesioned PD rats received levodopa treatment. Conclusions Levodopa upregulates the level of GSH in the striatum in moderately and severely lesioned PD rats. Levodopa will be benefical to mildly and moderately lesioned PD rats and has neurotrophic effect to promote the recovery of TH immunoreactive neurofibers in the striatum.

International Journal of Pediatrics 2011;38(6):535-537
Vasovagal syncope (VVS)is the most common clinical unexplained syncope, and its pathogenesis has not been fully understood yet.The contradictory reflection of cardiac autonomic nervous system caused by riggerring Bezold-Jarisch reflex, which could cause dilated blood vessels, blood pressure and cardiac output decreased, insufficient blood supply to the brain relate with syncope occurrence.Currently, most people consider it mainly relatel to the age and gender of patients, history of syncope, family history, mental and psychological factors, dietary habits and other factors, but the exact risk factors of VVS remains further study of multi-center and a large sample of data.
