Mitogen - activated protein kinases (MAPKs), including extracellular signal - regulated kinases (ERKs), c - Jun NH2 - terminal kinases (JNKs) and p38 MAPK, play an important role in transducting environmental stimuli to the transcriptional machinery in the nucleus in mammalian cells by virtue of their ability to phosphorylate and regulate the activity of various transcription factors. It was recently found that the changes in activity of MAPKs occurred during ischemia/reperfusion, but the biological significance of the changes was still controversial.

Objective To evaluate the in vitro antimicrobial activity of tigecycline in combination with imipenem against multi-drug resistant and pan-drug resistant Acinetobacter baumannii isolates,so as to discuss the feasibility of drug combination and provide the basis for chnical rational use of antimicrobial agents. Methods Sixteen multi-drug resistant and pan-drug resistant Acinetobacter baumannii isolates were collected between January and April in 2015 from all kinds of infected specimens of Nanjing Drun Tower Hospital. The protocol was designed by checkerboard method, and the minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) of antibiotics was determined by microdilution broth method, and the fractional inhibitory concentration (FIC) index was calculated according to MIC results. Results The average value of MIC (MICG),MIC50,MIC90 of tigecycline and imipenem single were 1.73,1,4 μg·mL-1and 31.00,32,64 μg·mL-1.When tigecycline was combined with imipenem,MICG,MIC50,MIC90 of tigecycline and imipenem were 0.24,0.25,0.50 μg·mL-1 and 8.16,8.00,16.00 μg·mL-1,respectively.Compared with the drug single use groups,MIC was significandy decreased in the drug combination group. In 6 strains (37.50%),synergy effect (FIC≤0.5) was observed, and in 10 strains (62.50%),additive effect (0.5 < FIC ≤ 1) was found. No negative and independent effects were shown. Conclusion Both additive and synergistic action is observed when tigecyclineis combined with imipenem against multi-drug resistant and pan-drug resistant Acinetobacter baumannii isolates. No negative and independent effects are shown. This combination use against multi-drug resistant and pan-drug resistant Acinetobacter baumannii may be an effective therapy for clinical treatment.

Objective To discuss the effect of the application of anti-reflux venous indwelling needle after gastrointestinal polyps endoscopic resection. Methods 400 cases of patients after gastrointestinal polyps endoscopic resection were selected in our department.200 cases of patients using ordinary venous indwelling needle were set as the control group. In addition,200 cases of patients chose anti-reflux indwelling needles which were produced by a certain medical instrument Co.,Ltd were set as the experimental group. The incidence rate of phlebitis, tube blocking, blood return and indwelling time in the process of using anti-reflux indwelling needle were observed in two groups. Results During the indwelling time of two kinds of indwelling needles, the incidence rates of phlebitis, tube blocking and blood return of anti-reflux indwelling needle in the experimental group were significantly lower than those of the control group. The average indwelling time of the experimental group was 1.2 days, longer than that of the control group. Conclusions Anti-reflux indwelling needle can effectively protect the blood vessels, ensure the patients to use drugs in time, improve the work efficiency of nurses, reduce the damage to patients and effectively reduce the burden of patients.

Objective To investigate the relationship between hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection and hepatic metastasis from colorectal cancer. Methods Published literatures and unpublished conference papers from January 1990 to December 2011 were searched in PubMed,Cochrane library,Wanfang Database and CNKI.Data of the literatures were extracted by a table. All the patients with colorectal cancer were divided into the infected group and the control group according to the patients whether infected by HBV or not.The hepatic metastatic rate was analyzed. The Meta analysis was carried out by using the Review Manager 5.0 software, and the heterogeneity between studies was analyzed using the I2.Random effect regression model or fixed effects regression model was used according to the P value. The funnel plot was drawn to assess the potential for publication bias. The count data were presented by odds ratio (OR) and 95% confidence intervals (95% CI).Results Fifty-six articles were retrieved, and 11 of which met the criteria. The number of patients with colorectal cancer was 5622,and 924 were in the infected group,4698 in the control group. There was no statistical difference in the heterogeneity between all the articles (I2 =0,df=10,P > 0.05).The hepatic metastatic rate was 10.61% (98/924) in the infected group, which was significantly lower than 23.84% (1120/4698) of the control group (OR =0.35,P < 0.05).The funnel plot showed that there was no obvious publication bias in these studies. Conclusion Patients with colorectal cancer and infected by HBV have lower incidence of hepatic metastasis.

AIM: To investigate the change and the possible role of mitogen-activated protein kinase(MAPK) subfamilies in early recovery process following acute renal ischemia/reperfusion injury. METHODS: Ischemia/reperfusion renal injury model was made by placing an atraumatic vascular clamp in renal pedicel. The morphologic change was observed by transmission electron microscope. The proliferating cell nuclear antigen(PCNA) positive renal cells were detected by immunohistochemistry. Extracellular signal-regulated kinase (ERK) and c-Jun NH 2-terminal kinase(JNK) activity was assayed by specific substrate phosphorylation with immunoprecipitation. RESULTS: After acute ischemia, microvilli in renal tubular cells appeared again after 2h of reperfusion. At the same time, the PCNA-positive cells were initially increased. ERK activity decreased at 45 min of ischemia, and completely recovered at 5 min of reperfusion. JNK activity was not influenced by ischemia, but increased at 5 min of reperfusion, reaching its maximal activity at 20 min of reperfusion, and prolonged within 2h reperfusion. CONCLUSION: After renal ischemia/reperfusion injury, the early recovery of renal tubule damage was related to the changes of MAPKs in which the increase of JNK activity might be more important.

Objective To find out the endoscopic characteristics of peptic ulcer disease in minority area. Methods Analysis of 28 547 endoscopic cases in Yanbian area during 1990- 1998. Results In all endoscopic cases,4 348 cases(15.23% ) of peptic ulcer were found.Among them,48.22% (2 097cases) were of duodenal ulcer,44.18% (1 921 cases) of gastric ulcer, and the rest 7.59% (330 cases) of complex ulcer. Among these cases, male and female patients were 2 974(19.05% ) and 1374(10.62% ) respectively. The positive detective rates between male and female patients have significant difference(P0.01). Conclusion It suggested that the positive detective rate of peptic ulcer in Han nationality was higher than that in Korea nationality at Yanbian area; and, the male patient were more than the female ones.
