[Objective] To study the protection and mechanism of mica granules to rats stomach mucosa injury caused by non-water ethanol.[Method] Randomly divide 48 healthy SD rats into high-,middle-and low-dosed groups of mica granules,Simida group, model control group and blank control group as well,i.e.6 groups. After fasting for 24h,separately make stomach perfusion of mica granules and Simida to all rats in advance;after 3h,make stomach perfusion of non-water ethanol 1ml/100g for stomach mucosa injury;45m later, take proper blood of lower vena cava, sacrifice them for stomach, then respectively test all mucosa injury index,SOD,MDA,and GSH-Px content in serum and mucosa, observe pathological changes to evaluate mucosa injury degree and medical function.[Result] In mica groups, the SOD and GSH-Px were markedly higher than that in model control group, but MDA was lower than later(P

Objectives To investigate the effects of cell aging on the disorders relating to gastric mucosa aging. Methods A treatment of 200 μmol/L H2O2 was used to induce senescence of human gastric epithelial cell line GES-1,and the cell growth curve was monitored.Senescence secretory phenotypes were observed by detecting the protein level of p53 and p16INK4a with senescence-associated β-galactosidase(SA-β gal)staining and Western blot testing. The mRNA levels of senescence-associated secretory phenotype(SASP)factors in human gastric epithelial GES-1 cell including IL-1β,IL-6,IL-8,TGF-β、IFN-γ,and VEGF-A were detected by RT PCR.The mRNA expression levels of IL-1β,IL-6,IL-8,TGF-β,IFN-γ,and VEGF in the conditioned medium were detected by ELISA analysis. Results The 200 μmol/L H2O2-induced GES-1 cells stopped proliferating after 3 days of treatment, and cells enlarged and flattened at 10 days. The increased SA-β-gal staining(P<0.001) and the increased expression levels of p53 and p16INK4a proteins indicated the success of establishing the aging model of GES-1.The mRNA levels of IL 1β,IL6,IL8,TGF-β,and IFNγ were higher(t=2.94,3.38,3.15,3.64,2.97;P=0.015,0.000,0.000,0.000,0.000)and the mRNA level of VEGF-A was lower(t=2.31,P =0.20) in senescent GES-1 cells than in the control group. In the conditioned medium of senescent GES-1 cells, the levels of IL-1β,IL6,IL8,TGF-β1,and IFNγ were higher in the H2O2-induced group [(3.12±0.21)μg/L,(4.26±0.15)μg/L,(3.37±0.14)μg/L,(5.34±0.19)μg/L,and(2.90±0.47)μg/L]than in the negative control group[(0.24±0.04,0.04±0.07,0.52±0.02,1.05±0.10,0.52±0.02,respectively,P<0.001)],while the level of VEGF was lower in the H2O2-induced group than in the negative control group(0.21±0.03)μg/L vs (0.59±0.07)μg/L(P<0.05).Conclusions The changes in senescence-associated secretory phenotype factors of the aging human gastric epithelial cells induced by oxidative stress may promote chronic gastritis and gastric cancer.

Objective:To investigate the clinical effect of Infix combined with hollow screws for the treatment of pelvic injuries with pubic symphysis separation in middle-aged and elderly patients. Methods:Data of 8 middle-aged and elderly patients with pelvic injuries due to pubic symphysis separation undergone treatment from January 2017 to December 2020 were retrospectively analyzed. Results:The average operating time of 8 patients was (46.0±6.2)min(range: 40-62min); the average intraoperative blood loss was (32.0±5.6)ml(range: 25-50 ml); the average length of incisions at the iliac screw was(2.6±0.4)cm(range: 2.0-3.5 cm); the average length of incisions at the hollow screw was (1.1±0.3)cm(range: 0.8-1.5 cm); and the average times of fluoroscopy were (36.0±6.0)times(range: 28-52 times). Postoperative X-ray and CT examinations showed that the reduction of the pubic symphysis was good, the inserted iliac screws and cannulated screws were positioned accurately, and the incision healed well.Based on Matta's criteria, postoperative radiological outcomes were evaluated, with 7 cases rated as excellent and 1 as good, giving an excellent to good rate of 100%(8/8). The average followed up time for all 8 patients was (15.0±4.2)months(range: 6-24 months). Pelvic X-ray and CT examinations at the last follow-up showed that the fractures healed well and the pubic symphysis reduction did not fail.Infix and cannulated screws in the pubic symphysis were removed 10-12 weeks after surgery[average: (10.5±0.5)weeks]. According to the Majeed Pelvic Score, 5 cases were rated as excellent, 2 cases as good and 1 as fair, with an excellent to good rate of 87.5%(7/8). One patient had symptoms related to the lateral femoral cutaneous nerve that disappeared after 3 months. One patient developed deep venous thrombosis after surgery, and the filter was placed and removed 10 weeks later. Conclusions:Using Infix plus cannulated screws for the treatment of pelvic injuries in middle-aged and elderly patients with pubic symphysis separation has the advantages of limited trauma and intraoperative blood loss, good fixation and few complications.

Background::Joint dislocations significantly impact public health. However, a comprehensive study on the incidence, distribution, and risk factors for joint dislocations in China is lacking. We conducted the China National Joint Dislocation Study, which is a part of the China National Fracture Study conducted to obtain the national incidence and risk factors for traumatic fractures, and to investigate the incidence and risk factors for joint dislocations.Methods::For this national retrospective epidemiological study, 512,187 participants were recruited using stratified random sampling and probability-proportional-to-size method from January 19 to May 16, 2015. Participants who sustained joint dislocations of the trunk, arms, or legs (skull, sternum, and ribs being excluded) in 2014 were personally interviewed to obtain data on age, educational background, ethnic origin, occupation, geographic region, and urbanization degree. The joint-dislocation incidence was calculated based on age, sex, body site, and demographic factors. The risk factors for different groups were examined using multiple logistic regression.Results::One hundred and nineteen participants sustained 121 joint dislocations in 2014. The population-weighted incidence rate of joint dislocations of the trunk, arms, or legs was 0.22 (95% confidence interval [CI]: 0.16, 0.27) per 1000 population in 2014 (men, 0.27 [0.20, 0.34]; women, 0.16 [0.10, 0.23]). For all ages, previous dislocation history (male: OR 42.33, 95% confidence interval [CI]: 12.03–148.90; female: OR 54.43, 95% CI: 17.37–170.50) and alcohol consumption (male: OR 3.50, 95% CI: 1.49–8.22; female: OR 2.65, 95% CI: 1.08–6.50) were risk factors for joint dislocation. Sleeping less than 7 h/day was a risk factor for men. Compared with children, women aged ≥15 years (female 15–64 years: OR 0.16, 95% CI: 0.04–0.61; female ≥65 years: OR 0.06, 95% CI: 0.01–0.41) were less likely to sustain joint dislocations. Women with more than three children were at higher dislocation risk than women without children (OR 6.92, 95% CI: 1.18–40.78).Conclusions::The up-to-date data on joint dislocation incidence, distribution, and risk factors can be used as a reference for national healthcare, prevention, and management in China. Specific strategies for decreasing alcohol consumption and encouraging adequate sleeping hours should be developed to prevent or reduce dislocation incidents.Trial Registration::Chinese Clinical Trial Registry, ChiCTR-EPR-15005878.
