Chinese Journal of Primary Medicine and Pharmacy 2015;(19):2895-2897
Objective To explore the correlation of depression and ordinary status of stroke patients. Methods 260 stroke patients of our hospital from June 2012 to December 2013 were selected and divided into two groups, the observation group had depression after stroke, the control group didnˊt have depression after stroke, the ordinary status and society status of 2 groups were compared. Results Women accounted for 79.51% of the patients in the observation group,Below the level of high school education Patients accounted for 72.28%,patients with cardiovascular disease accounted for 65.06%;the patients in the observation group who was higher than 6000 yuan, accounted for 62.86%,which was lower than 86.67% of the control group (χ2 =10.21,P <0.05).The subjective support and the score of social support utilization of patients in the observation group were significantly lower than those of the control group(t =2.98,3.19,P <0.05).Conclusion Depression is a common complication for stroke patients, causing by many reasons, including gender, education level,CVD,family income and so on.

Cytokine storm plays an important role in the pathogenesis of liver failure. It is closely related to hepatocyte necrosis in the clini-cal course and the prognosis of this disease. With Kupffer cells as a clue,it is elucidated that related cells and cytokines influence each other and jointly function in the development and progression of liver failure, leading to serious liver tissue damage and necrosis.Cytokine -based research can help improve early diagnosis, disease assessment, and individualized treatment for liver failure.

Objective To investigate the expressions of microRNA-21,microRNA-143,and microRNA-145 in the sera of patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC),and their assessment vales in the recurrence, metastasis, and prognosis of NPC patients. Methods From January 2012 to January 2014,80 NPC patients in our hospital Department of Internal Medicine and Head and Neck Surgery was used as tumor group,80 cases of healthy volunteers as control. The real-time fluorescence quantitative polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) was used to detect the expression levels of microRNA-21,microRNA-143,and microRNA-145 in the sera. Results Expression of microRNA-21 in NPC patients was significantly higher than that in healthy control group with statistically significant difference (P < 0.05).The expressions of microRNA-143 and microRNA-145 in NPC patients was significantly lower than those in healthy control group with significant difference (P < 0.05).At the same time, those microRNAs were significantly associated with tissue differentiation, invasion, and metastasis. Conclusions Increased microRNA-21 expression level in NPC patients, and decreased expression of microRNA-143 and microRNA-145 in NPC patients play an important role in differentiation, invasion, and metastasis in the development process of NPC.microRNAs can be used as a new index in the auxiliary diagnosis of NPC and the evaluation of recurrence, metastasis, and prognosis evaluation.

Objective To investigate the effect of muscle fatigue on linear and nonlinear dynamics of sEMG from biceps brachii during maximal voluntary isometric contractions.Method Ten young volunteers subjects performed non-fatiguing isometric contractions with four load levels and fatiguing maximal voluntary isometric contractions.Linear and nonlinear analysis were used to examine the sEMG signals and the changes of sEMG signals when MVC decreased to levels of 80% MVC,70% MVC,60%MVC and 50%MVC compared with the signals of sEMG during non-fatiguing contractions.Result Statistical analyses revealed that AEMG and %DET were significantly higher at fatigue states than those at non fatigue states, while MPF and C(n)were significantly lower than those at non fatigue states. With the development of muscle fatigue,MPF and %DET significantly decreased during maximal effort, while AEMG and %DET stayed stable. The interaction of load level and fatigue state for AEMG,MPF and C(n)were significant. Conclusion MPF and C(n)significantly decrease during maximal voluntary isometric contractions.sEMG dynamics between fatigue state and non-fatigue state is significantly different.

AIM: To observe the therapeutic effect of valsartan on cardiac hypertrophy and expression of endothelin-1(ET-1) in myocardium of rats with chronic renal failure and explore the mechanism.METHODS: 24 Sprague Dawley male rats were selected, and performed five-sixths nephrectomy to produce chronic renal failure model. Two weeks after the surgery, the rats were randomly divided into model group, valsartan group, and a sham group was established serving as control group.Systolic blood pressure,BUN and serum creatinine were measured at ten weeks after operation, then the rats were sacrificed to take the hearts for pathological histological examination.Hybridization in situ was used to examine the transcription of ET-1 mRNA in myocardium.RESULTS: Systolic pressure, heart weight, heart weight index, left ventricular weight mass(LVM) and left ventricular weight mass index(LVMI) in model group increased significantly tenth week after operation.Systolic pressure, heart weight, heart weight index,LVM and LVMI were decreased markedly in rats with five-sixths nephrectomy by valsartan(P

Objective To explore the clinical characteristics of neonatal-onset carbamoyl phosphate synthetase I deficiency (CPS1D). Methods Clinical data and result of genetic detection of one neonate with CPS1D were retrospectively analyzed. The pertinent literature was reviewed. Results A 3-day old girl, with onset symptoms of nonspecific performance, such as poor feeding, less activity, tachypnea, and seizures. After fasting, anti-infection, and respiratory support etc. the condition was improved. However, the condition deteriorated and developed rapidly after feeding restarted. MRI showed extensive cerebral white matter lesions. Blood ammonia?>?500 μmol/L. Gene detection found two heterozygous mutations in pathogenic gene CPS1 in twentieth exon of c.2407C?>?G (p.803, R, G) and fourth exon C.323G?>?A (p.108, G, E), according to which CPS1D was diagnosed finally. Conclusions For neonate with normal birth, had feeding difficulty, seizures, and consciousness disorder after establishment of normal feeding, if blood ammonia level significantly increased, the blood and urine amino acids analysis and gene detection should be performed to confirm the diagnosis.

Objective To study the changes of biochemistry indexes in blood serum and bone mineral density (BMD) of secondary osteoporosis after spinal cord injury (SCI) in rats. Methods 120 male Wistar rats were divided randomly into 12 groups (n=10). The rats in control groups were only removed larmina with dura intact, without spinal cord injury at the level of the tenth thoracic vertebrae, the rats in experimental groups were also removed larmina, then paraplegic model was made by the method of Allen's (60gcm). The changes of biochemistry indexes in blood serum and BMD were observed. Results Compared with control groups, the concentrations of alkaline phophatase (ALP) were decreased at the 1st and the 3rd week in experimental groups (P0.05). BMD of tibia was decreased at the 7th and 11th week in experimental group (P
