1.Effect of Pulse Magnetic Needle Apparatus on nerve growth factor expression in cerebral ischemia model of rats

ObjectiveTo study the effects of Pulse Magnetic Needle Apparatus on nerve growth factor(NGF) expression in cerebral ischemia model of rats.Methods70 Wistar rats were divided randomly into 7 groups as normal group,sham group,model group,magnetic group,acupuncture group,elecupuncture group and pulse magnetic group.Cerebral ischemia model was made by middle cerebral artery occlusion.The neural function of all the rats after operation was assessed by Nervous Scale of Function.The expression of NGF in each group was determined using immunohistochemical method.ResultsIn the Nervous Scale of Function between 6h and 15d after operation,there was no difference in model group(P>0.05),but there was difference in magnetic group(P<0.05) and in other therapeutic groups(P<0.01). The curative effect in pulse magnetic group was as the same as that in elecupuncture group and acupuncture group on the 15th day after operation.The expression of NGF increased in all therapeutic groups compared with the model group on the 15th day after operation(P<0.05 or 0.01).Furthermore, the expression of NGF increased in pulse magnetic group and acupuncture group rather than that in magnetic group and elecupuncture group(P<0.05).There was no distinct difference between acupuncture group and pulse magnetic group(P>0.05).ConclusionsThe Pulse Magnetic Needle Apparatus can promote and prolong the expression of NGF and recover the function of limbs.
2.A clinical study on the effect of polishing after ultrasonic scaling

To evaluate the effects of silicone points polishing on plaque index(PI) and sulcus bleeding index(SBI) after ultrasonic scaling. Forty patients with periodontal diseases were selected for ultrasonic scaling. After scaling,unilateral teeth were randomly assigned for silicone points polishing. PI and SBI were used to evaluate the effects of silicone points polishing. Silicone points polishing significantly reduced PI 12 weeks after scaling. Both in the polishing group and the control group, SBI decreased after scaling. The SBI in the polishing group was significantly lower than that in the control group in the 24 weeks. Silicone points polishing can effectively increase the smoothness of tooth and enhance the effects of uhrosonic scaling.

5.Clinic Efficacy of Calcium Hydroxide Iodoform Glycerin Paste for Root Canal Disinfection

Objective To explore the relationship between the intelligence condition and the content of ?-aminobutyric acid (GABA) in cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) in epileptic patients.Methods We measured the Intelligence Quotient (IQ) of 40 cases of epileptic patients by using the Wechsler Intellectual Scaled, and tested their CSF-GABA contents by using HPLC.At the same time, factors which might have influence on patient’s IQ were analysed.Results In the 40 cases of epileptic patients, there were 14 cases of patients with FIQ≤89, and occupied 35%.The intelligence condition of epileptic patients was positive relation with the contents of CSF-GABA, education background and patterns of seizure,but was negative relation with the patient's age. Objective To analyze the relation of hypermethylated secreted frizzled-related protein 2 (SFRP2) gene in feces and peripheral blood of colorectal cancer(CRC) patient with Dukes stages and histological types,and to evaluate SFRP2 gene for screening and judging the pathogenetic condition of CRC.Methmls Methylation-specific PCR assay was performed to analyze SFRP2 gene promoter methylation status in a blinded fashion in tumor tissues,stool and pefipheral blood samples taken from 169 CRC patients,63 patients with adenoma,46 with hyperplastic polyp and 30 endoscopically normal subjects.Results SFRP2 gene Was hypermethylated in 88.2%.65.1%and 45.7% of CRC.adenoma and non-adenomatous polyp tissues,in 84.0%,46.0% and 32.6%of corresponding fecal samples,and in 66.9%,6.4%and 2.2% of corresponding peripheral blood samples,respectively.In contrast,no methylated SFRP2 gene was detected in mucosal tissues and peripheral blood of normal controls,while two cases of matched fecal samples from normal controls were detected with hypermethylated SFRP2.Moreover,no significant correlation were observed between SFRP2 hypermethylation and clinicopathological features including sex,age,size,location and Dukes stage,but there was a significant correlation between SFRP2 hypermethylation and tumor difierentiation and infiltration.SFRP2 hypermethylation in peripheral blood of CRC patients was positively correlated with the Dukes stage. Condusions Hypermethylation of SFRP2 gene in feces works as a molecular biomarker for CRC screening.The hypermethylation of SFRP2 gene is positively related with Dukes stage.
8.Effect of Tanyu-Tongzhi recipe on Rho/Rho kinase signal transduction pathway of myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury in rats

Objective To investigate the influence of Tanyu-Tongzhi (TYTZ)recipe on Rho/Rho kinase signal transduction pathway of myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury in high fat-fed rats.Methods 60 SD rats were divided into 5 groups randomly,a sham-operated group,a model group,a western medicine control group,a high-dose group and a low-dose group of TYTZ recipe.The model of ischemia reperfusion of the myocardium was reproduced by ligation of left descending artery for 30 min followed by releasing the ligation for 2 hours in rats.The downstream substrates of ROCK myosin light chain (MLC) phosphorylation expression of myocardial tissues in rats were detected by Western blotting method.The levels of RhoA,ROCK Ⅱ mRNA were determined with RT-PCR.Results Compared with the model group,the expression of p-MLC and RhoA,ROCK Ⅱ mRNA were lower in low-dose group of TYTZ,there were significant differences between the two groups(P=0.004、0.003、0.018、0.004,P<0.01).Conclusion The TYTZ Recipe can protect myocardium from MI/RI.The mechanism of action was related to its inhibiting the protein expression of RhoA,ROCK Ⅱ and p-MLC,restraining the activation of Rho/Rho kinase signal transduction pathway.
