Objective To investigate the effects of altitude, race, gender and age on blood glucose and glycosylated hemoglobin(HbA1 c) of type 2 diabetes. Methods A total of 410 patients with type 2 diabetes (T2DM) who resided at different altitudes in Jinghong,Kunming and Lijiang city for over 5 years and received antidiabetic treatment without adjustments for over 3 months were enrolled. To compare blood glucose, hemoglobin (Hb) and HbA1 c levels of T2DM among different altitudes, different races, different genders and different ages,The correlation between races and HbA1c was evaluated with Pearson's correlation analysis. Results No significant differences were observed in fasting blood glucose (FBG) (P =0.49,P =0.1,P =0.09,P =0.3),2 h postprandial blood glucose (2 h PBG) (P =0.33,P =0.4,P =0.7,P =0.1),and HbA1 c (P =0.47,P =0.28,P =0.2,P =0.07) levels between patients at different altitudes, different races, different genders and different ages. However, there were significant differences in Hb (P <0.01).There was no significant correlation between races and HbA1c levels(r =0.003,P =0.6).Conclusions There were effects of altitude, race, gender and age on hemoglobin of type 2 diabetes, but no effects on glycosylated hemoglobin.

Objective To complete an information chain to support stomatological materials purchase and providing manage-ment.MethodsThe main problems of the materials management information chain were analyzed. The system construction, technical architecture and function design were designed based on B/S and C/S structure. Results The vendor cloud platform completed the information chain for purchase and distribution of stomatological materials, and provided technical support to hospital consumables management. Conclusion The system normalizes stomatological materials management, guarantees the safety, timeliness and accuracy of materials supply, and thus is worthy applying practically.

gluconate in both G1 phase and S phase cells. The permeability of G1 phase cells to I-was higher than that in S phase cells, but to gluconate was lower than that in S phase cells.CONCLUSIONS: The density of the volume-activated Cl-current,the anion permeability of the channel and the sensitivity of the current to tamoxifen were different between the CNE-2Z cells in G1 phase and those in S phase. The results suggest that the expression of tamoxifen-sensitive,volume-activated chloride channels is differentiated at different stages of the cell cycle.

Objective:To investigate the clinical features, treatment and prognosis of anti-γ-aminobutyric acid type B receptor (GABA B R) encephalitis. Methods:Retrospective analysis of five patients of anti-GABA BR encephalitis from the Department of Neurology, the University of Hong Kong-Shenzhen Hospital from September 2017 to June 2019 was carried out. Clinical manifestations, auxiliary examination, and treatment were analyzed. The patients were followed up for 3.5-23.0 months to assess their prognosis. Results:Five cases of anti-GABA BR encephalitis (19-81 years old) presented acute onset, with refractory epilepsy as the main clinical manifestation. There were hyperintensive signals on T 2/fluid attenuated inversion recovery in four patients′ temporal lobe and hippocampus. Electroencephalogram showed slow wave or epileptic discharge; Lung mass was found in four patients, and all were small cell lung cancer. Five cases had poor response to first-line immunotherapy (intravenous use of pulse methylprednisolone, high dose immunoglobulin or plasma exchange), then three patients received second-line immunotherapy (rituximab, cyclophosphamide), two of whom with tumor also received tumor chemotherapy. Patients who received second-line treatment and tumor chemotherapy showed better outcome than those who only received first-line treatment. Conclusions:Anti-GABA BR encephalitis present with limbic encephalitis syndromes characterized by refractory epilepsy. For patients with poor response to first-line immunotherapy, initiating second-line immunotherapy as soon as possible can improve the prognosis significantly.
