1.Prognostic factors of survival for patients with carcinoma of the ampulla of Vater after pancreatoduodenectomy
Chinese Journal of Hepatobiliary Surgery 2014;20(6):449-453
Objective To investigate the clinical and pathological prognostic factors in patients with carcinoma of ampulla of Vater treated by pancreatoduodenectomy. Methods The clinical and pathological factors of patients with carcinoma of ampulla of Vater who were operated from February 1994 to February 2009 at the Urumqi General Hospital of Lanzhou Military Region were retrospectively analyzed. The survival curves of these patients were also analyzed. Results The post-operative 1-,3-,5-year survival rates were 90%,63%,55% respectively. The diameter of the majority of tumor (58.3%) was less than 2.0 cm.Of all the patients with carcinoma of ampulla of Vater,48.7% were in T1 stage,41.7% had high grade differentiation,73.0% had no lymphatic metastasis.Univariate analysis showed that gender, age, tumor diameter, biopsy or not,the type of operation, the value of pre-operative serum bilirubin and the value of serum CA19-9 were not related to survival. The gross type of tumor (P =0.018),histological type (P =0.000),grade of differentiation (P =0.003),depth of infiltration (P =0.003),lymphatic metastasis (P =0.014) and TNM stage (P =0.031) were significant impact factors of survival.Multivariate analysis showed histological type and depth of infiltration were independent prognostic factors of surviva1 (P =0.002,P =0.005).Conclusion Grossly ulcerated carcinoma, mucinous adenocarcinoma on histology, low degree of differentiation,T2/T3 stage, lymphatic metastasis and clinical stage of Ⅱb were all significantly associated with poor prognosis in patients with carcinoma of ampulla of Vater treated by pancreatoduodenectomy.Histological type and the depth of infiltration were the most important risk factors of survival.
3.Changes of Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor in Serum and Urine in Children with Steroid-Sensitive Nephrotic Syndrome
Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 1992;0(05):-
Objective To investigate the changs of serum and urine vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF) in children with steroid-sensitive nephrotic syndrome(SSNS) at their active and remission stage. Methods Serum and morning urine levels of VEGF were assayed by Liquichip in 30 patients with SSNS at the active and remission stage and 30 normal age-and sex-matched controls. Results Serum levels of VEGF in patients at the active stage [(186.62?106.21) ng/L] were significantly higher those that at the remission stage [(118.75?73.08) ng/L] and than those in control group [(108.64?54.75) ng/L](P0.05).Morning urine levels of VEGF in patients at the active stage [(201.66?100.46) ng/L] were significantly higher than those at the remission stage [(116.35?55.99) ng/L] and than those in control group [(99.94?42.07) ng/L](P0.05).Conclusions Serum and morning urine levels of VEGF are significantly elevated in patients with SSNS,however they are significantly lower after the treatment of steroid. There is no obvious difference between the patients at the remission stage and healthy controls.VEGF involves pathogenetically and physiologically in SSNS during its onset and growth.
4.Research status of conbercept treating age-related macular degeneration
International Eye Science 2015;(8):1367-1369
Age-related macular degeneration( AMD) is one of the major reasons of blindness among the elderly in the developed countries. As AMD patients are increasing year by year, AMD has become one of the important topics of ophthalmic research to prevent blindness. Its pathogenesis is not fully understood, but many studies have shown that vascular endothelial growth factor ( VEGF ) plays an important role in the pathogenesis. With the development and application of anti - VEGF drugs, there are a variety of drugs applied to the disease. This article introduces conbercept for the treatment of AMD.

Objective To investigate effect of alendronate on prevention of aseptic loosening prothesis.Method Twelve beagles which had been implanted a titanium plug in femur were divided into two groups randomly, one received alendronate, and the other placebo as control. After 12 weeks, all beagles were sacrificed.specimens of femur were studied by biomechanical test.Independent sample t test was used for statistical analyses. Results The pull-out strength of the experimental group was higher than that of the control (P < 0.05),and the torsion strength was also higher in the experimental group(P < 0.05).Conclusion The therapy of alendronate can change the bone strength, inhibit aseptic loosening of prosthesis in beagle and could be a good drug for the prevention and treatment of aseptic loosening prothesis.

ObjectiveTo investigate the mental health of freshmen of university.MethodsSymptom Checklist 90 (SCL-90) was used to self evaluate 7763 freshmen of university in Ningbo. Results and ConclusionThe overall level of the mental health of this group was higher than that of the Chinese module, and the prevalence of psychological symptoms was 13.2%. The average level of mental health of female were inferior to male. The difference between the students from cities or towns and from the countryside were distinct. Students who were satisfied with their majority get noticeably higher average score than the ones who were not satisfied.

To study the effect of miR-490 on Coxsackievirus B3 (CVB3) replication, HeLa cells were trans- fected with miR-490 in vitro, and infected with a Renilla luciferase (RLuc)-expressing CVB3 variant (RLuc-CVB3). The activities of RLuc in these cells were measured at 8h intervals from 0 to 40 h post-infection (p.i.), and the effects of miR-490 on RLuc-CVB3 replication were observed. In a further study, HeLa cells were transfected with either miR-490 or antisense miR-490 (AMO-miR-490), and were then infected with an enhanced green fluorescence protein (EGFP)-expressing CVB3 variant (EGFP-CVB3). The replication of EGFP-CVB3 was then determined by detecting the expression of EGFP. We observed that miR-490 could significantly inhibit the expression of RLuc in infected cells at 32 h p. i. Furthermore, in HeLa cells infected with EGFP-CVB3 at 32 h p.i., EGFP expression was also significantly inhibited by the presence of mniR-490. The inhibitory effect of miR-490 on EGFP expression in EGFP-CVB3-infected cells could be reversed by tranfection with AMQ-miR-490. These results indicated that miR-490 significantly inhibits the replication and expression of QVB3.
