Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 1992;0(05):-
Objective To investigate the changs of serum and urine vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF) in children with steroid-sensitive nephrotic syndrome(SSNS) at their active and remission stage. Methods Serum and morning urine levels of VEGF were assayed by Liquichip in 30 patients with SSNS at the active and remission stage and 30 normal age-and sex-matched controls. Results Serum levels of VEGF in patients at the active stage [(186.62?106.21) ng/L] were significantly higher those that at the remission stage [(118.75?73.08) ng/L] and than those in control group [(108.64?54.75) ng/L](P0.05).Morning urine levels of VEGF in patients at the active stage [(201.66?100.46) ng/L] were significantly higher than those at the remission stage [(116.35?55.99) ng/L] and than those in control group [(99.94?42.07) ng/L](P0.05).Conclusions Serum and morning urine levels of VEGF are significantly elevated in patients with SSNS,however they are significantly lower after the treatment of steroid. There is no obvious difference between the patients at the remission stage and healthy controls.VEGF involves pathogenetically and physiologically in SSNS during its onset and growth.

AIM: To observe the effect of stellate ganglion interruption combined with Xuefu Zhuyu Capsules on the residual post-herpetic neuralgia (PHN) in the old. METHODS: 74 aged patients (55-87 years) suffering from residual PHN were selected and divided into two groups. and received stellate ganglion interruption (control group) and received stellate ganglion interruption combined with Xuefu Zhuyu Capsules (treatment group). The clinic effect was evaluated before and after treatment by visual analogue scale (VAS) and quality of sleep (QS). RESULTS: VAS and QS were 8.84?0.66 and 3.78?0.31, respectively, before treatment and there was significant reduction in VAS and QS after treatment in treatment group. CONCLUSION: The clinic effect of stellate ganglion interruption combined with Xuefu Zhuyu Capsules is efficient on relief from PHN and improvement of sleep quality.

[Objective] To analyse medication rule for depression, and explore the mechanism and treatment features.[Method] On the basis of dealing 235 formulae with net technical, make analysis on drugs type, use frequency, nature and compatibility.[Result] The drugs can be divided into disease(1)and sign(2)differentiation medications, most drugs of 2 are Qi--and Yang-notifying;the natures are mainly sweet, bitter and warm, belonging to 5 organs.Notifying Qi and Yang, soothing the nerves are the main therapy for depression.[Conclusion] Depression belongs to deficient cold disease, deficient Yang Qi;not being able to rise is the mechanism;notifying Qi and warming Yang is the key basis for it.

Objective To investigate effect of alendronate on prevention of aseptic loosening prothesis.Method Twelve beagles which had been implanted a titanium plug in femur were divided into two groups randomly, one received alendronate, and the other placebo as control. After 12 weeks, all beagles were sacrificed.specimens of femur were studied by biomechanical test.Independent sample t test was used for statistical analyses. Results The pull-out strength of the experimental group was higher than that of the control (P < 0.05),and the torsion strength was also higher in the experimental group(P < 0.05).Conclusion The therapy of alendronate can change the bone strength, inhibit aseptic loosening of prosthesis in beagle and could be a good drug for the prevention and treatment of aseptic loosening prothesis.

OBJECTIVETo evaluate the applicability of immune-related response criteria (irRC) in treating non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) by Chinese medicine (CM).
METHODSTotally 97 stage III a-IV NSCLC patients were predominantly treated with comprehensive CM. Curative effects were evaluated by three methods such as Response Evaluation Criteria in Solid Tumors (RECIST), Oncologic Curative Effect Evaluation Criteria of Chinese Medicine in Solid Tumor (draft, abbreviated as CM criteria), and irRC. The correspondency and consistency between irRC, RECIST and CM criteria were analyzed and compared. The objectivity of irRC in evaluating curative effect of Chinese medical treatment for NSCLC was assessed.
RESULTSThe correspondency rate of irRC to RECIST was 59. 79% with Kappa value of 0. 379 (U test, P <0. 01). The two criteria had certain correspondence, but with an unsatisfactory consistency. The correspondency rate of irRC to CM criteria rate was 83. 51% with Kappa value of 0.751 (U test, P <0. 01). The two criteria had good correspondence and consistency.
CONCLUSIONSCM criteria had good consistency with CM criteria in evaluating curative effect for Chinese medical treatment of advanced NSCLC. Its results could objectively reflect features and advantages of CM for treating advanced NSCLC.

Objective:To investigate the expression and prognostic significance of CD19 in patients with Acute myelogenous leukemia with AML1-ETO positive. Methods: Clinical data of 66 patients AML with AML1-ETO positive who were newly diagnosed from Jan 2010 to Dec 2015 were collected. To retrospectively analyze the relationship between clinical characteristics and expression of CD19,so dose the prognosis. Results:The positive rate of CD19 expressing in AML with AML1-ETO positive was 50. 0%. There were no statistically significant differences in terms of age, gender, hemoglobin, platelet, percentage of bone marrow blasts, accompanied with chromosome ,gene mutations between patients with and without CD19 expression(P>0. 05). The white blood cell count(WBC) of the CD19 negative group was higher than CD19 positive group, while showed significant difference(P=0. 027). Although the relapse-free survival (RFS) of patients with CD19 expression was higher than those without,no significant difference was calculated (P=0. 105). Patients with CD19 expression had superior overall survival ( OS ) compared to those without CD19 expression ( P = 0. 030 ) . Multivariable analysis for OS identified CD19 positivity as an independent predictor associated with better prognosis. Conclusion: The expression of CD19 in AML with AML1-ETO positive may be an indicator associated with better prognosis.

Objective To investigate the efficacy and safety of cladribine in the treatment of patients with refractory/relapsed acute myeloid leukemia (AML). Methods The data of 8 patients with refractory/relapsed AML treated with regimens containing cladribine at a dose of 5 mg/m2 per day for 5 consecutive days were retrospectively analyzed. The efficacy and adverse reactions were observed during treatment. Results Among the 8 patients, 5 patients achieved complete remission (CR), 1 patient achieved partial response (PR), and 2 patients obtained non remission (NR). The adverse reactions could be tolerated. Conclusion Regimen containing cladribine is an effective treatment procedure for the patients with refractory/relapsed AML, and its adverse reactions can be tolerated, which requires further clinical study.
