Microarray technology are being performed more widely than ever before on many areas in lifescience,although the technology is still evolving,the challenge of performing a microarray experiment is no longer in the data generation,but in extracting useful information and utilizing it to get the results with biological meanings.Some methods and tools used for expressional microarray data mining based on previous work were summarized.These methods include gene clustering,GO analysis,regulating pathway analysis,and related algorithm.We hope this can be helpful for those researchers who are implementing expressional microarray for biological analysis.

[Objective] To evaluate the therapeutic effect of Oleum Curcumae Aromaticae (OCA) on leukemia cell strain HL-60 and K562 by observing its sensitivity in inhibiting HL-60 and K562. [Methods] Subculture of HL-60 and K562 cells was performed on the 96-hole culture plate and OCA 100?L at the final concentration of 400, 200, 100 and 50mg/L respectively was added. The blank control was added with RPMI-1640 culture fluid. After 24, 48 and 72 hours of treatment, MTF 10?L (5mg/mL) was added and the inhibitory rate on the cells was assayed by detecting the absorption value at 570nm wavelength. Objective To explore early diagnostic methods for ulnar impaction syndrome on the basis of suggested criteria.Methods From December 1998 to December 2004,123 cases complained of ulnar pain.They were checked and diagnosed according to the criteria of Yu-dong Gu,and especially,the results of wrist MRL Forty-eight of them were diagnosed as ulnar impactinn syndrome.A retrospective study was done to analyze the char- acteristies of X-ray and MRI in examining ulnar impaction syndrome,clinical symptoms of the wrist,and the association between Chun & Palmer's scoring systems and imaging manifestations.Results Most of the cases of ulnar impaction syndrome had positive lunar variance (68.8%).Carpal avascular necrosis was found in about 27.1% of the cases through X-ray examination of the wrist,64.7% of whom were lunar osteonecrosis.Abnormal changes in signal intensity occurred in the MRI findings of the syndrome cases.The carpal necrosis was always located at the ulnar side of lunare or (and) at the waist and bottom of triquetrum.There was a close relationship between clinical symptoms and Chun & Palmer's grading systems and carpal imaging,MRI in particular Conclusion Early diagnosis of ulnar impaction syndrome can be made easily on the basis of deep understanding of the syndrome,clinical symptoms,and findings of imaging,especially MRI.

Objective To observe the effect of Yishen Paizhuo Decoction(Decoction for reinforcing the kidney and discharging the turbid)on chronic renal failure(CRF)patients.Methods The 82 CRF patients were randomized into observation group(42 cases) and control group(40 cases).In addition to the routine treatment,the observation group was administered modified Yishen Paizbuo Decoction,and the control group was given coated aldehyde oxystarch.The course of treatment was 6 months for both groups. Changes of clinical symptoms,renal functions,blood fat,and hemoglobin were observed,and the linear regression evaluation and renal survival evaluation were employed to evaluate the development of CRF.Results The improvement of observation group in renal func- tions and blood fat was remarkable with the increased renal survival rate,compared with the control group,the difference was signifi- cant(P

Objective To research on the applicational value of quantitative immunofluorescence assay of high-sensitivity C- reactive protein(HS-CRP) detection in surveillance of ankylosing spondylitis(AS) and Rheumatoid arthritis(RA).Methods Using quantitative immunofluorescence technique to detect the serum HS-CRP among 43 patients with AS and 62 patients with RA and 30 healthy controls.Results Within-run CV% of repeatability were 4.98% and3.68% for lower and higher concentration of HS- CRP,respectively;between-run CV% of the stability were 4.57% and 5.42% for lower and higher concentration of HS-CRP, respectively;There was a good correlation between results of quantitative immunofluorescence assay and BNP special protein analyzer method(r=0.997);Both the level and the positive rate of HS-CRP of patients with AS and patients with RA were higher than those of the controls in the active phase.The level and the positive rate of HS-CRP in patients with AS and patients with RA were obviously higher in the active phase than in the non-active phase(P0.05).Conclusion There were significant correlations between HS-CRP and the activity of AS and RA,So HS-CRP was useful tools for monitoring the changes of patient's condition.It doesn't have much significance in differential diagnosis of AS and RA.
