Lysozyme (LYSO), as an alkalescent protein micromolecule in living organisms, exhibits important pharmacological actions such as antibiosis, anti-inflammatory, antivirus and enhancing immunity. LYSO can combine with many exogenous and endogenous substances and carry many drugs. This essay summarizes interaction between different kinds of active components of natural medicines and lysozymes, which is significant to comprehensively understand pharmacological mechanism of natural drugs and their transfer and metabolic process in organisms, optimize molecule structures of drugs and increase bioavailability and biological effects of natural drugs.

OBJECTIVETo study the association of genetic polymorphism of glutathione S-transferase M1 (GSTM1) and its susceptibility to esophageal cancer.

METHODSOdds ratio was employed to evaluate the risk of esophageal cancer and GSTM1 status. To take into account the possibility of heterogeneity across the studies, a statistical test for heterogeneity across the studies was performed. Both fixed and random effect Meta-analysis models were used. Publication bias was evaluated by funnel plot.

RESULTSA total of 1190 cases and 1964 controls from 11 studies was included. The pooled OR (with 95% CI) was 1.197 (0.846 - 1.692). Of 11 studies, 5 studies were stratified by smoking. In smoking groups, the pooled OR was 1.523 (1.099 - 2.109) while in non-smoking groups, the pooled OR was 0.933 (0.469 - 1.692).

CONCLUSIONOur results through Meta-analysis did not support the association between GSTM1 null genotype and esophageal cancer, but the smokers carring the GSTM1 null genotype might be associated with the increased risk of esophageal cancer.

BACKGROUND:Warm acup-moxibustion is an effective treatment in Chinese traditional medicine, which combines acupuncture with moxibustion. With an immediate analgesia or/and long-term effect, warm acup-moxibustion has been used clinicaly for acute and chronic pain. OBJECTIVE:To analyze the progress in the studies about clinical application of warm acup-moxibustion as analgesic therapy for acute and chronic pain and to discuss the influential factors. METHODS: CNKI, VIP and Wanfang databases were searched for relevant articles published between January 1995 and July 2015 using the keywords of “warm needling; warm acup-moxibustion; pain; analgesic” in Chinese. According to the exclusion and inclusion criteria, 51 articles were included in result analysis. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: Compared with ordinary acupuncture, medicine and other treatment methods, warm acup-moxibustion can play an analgesic role in multiple systems, which is better than ordinary acupuncture and Western medicine. Warm acup-moxibustion combined with drugs and acupuncture techniques can increase the analgesic effect and improve joint function activity. Warm acup-moxibustion with the overal regulatory role plays an effective analgesic pain role in the multiple systems and shortens the duration of treatment, which is an effective method for treating pain and worthy of further promotion and application.

The interventional therapy of vascular stent implantation is a popular treatment method for cardiovascular stenosis and blockage. However, traditional stent manufacturing methods such as laser cutting are complex and cannot easily manufacture complex structures such as bifurcated stents, while three-dimensional (3D) printing technology provides a new method for manufacturing stents with complex structure and personalized designs. In this paper, a cardiovascular stent was designed, and printed using selective laser melting technology and 316L stainless steel powder of 0-10 µm size. Electrolytic polishing was performed to improve the surface quality of the printed vascular stent, and the expansion behavior of the polished stent was assessed by balloon inflation. The results showed that the newly designed cardiovascular stent could be manufactured by 3D printing technology. Electrolytic polishing removed the attached powder and reduced the surface roughness Ra from 1.36 µm to 0.82 µm. The axial shortening rate of the polished bracket was 4.23% when the outside diameter was expanded from 2.42 mm to 3.63 mm under the pressure of the balloon, and the radial rebound rate was 2.48% after unloading. The radial force of polished stent was 8.32 N. The 3D printed vascular stent can remove the surface powder through electrolytic polishing to improve the surface quality, and show good dilatation performance and radial support performance, which provides a reference for the practical application of 3D printed vascular stent.

Objective: To investigate the influencing factors of fertility outcome after laparoscopic conservative surgery for tubal pregnancy. Methods: From October 2010 to October 2016, 253 cases of tubal pregnancy treated by laparoscopic conservative surgery in General Hospital of Jizhong energy Fengfeng Group Hospital were analyzed retrospectively.All patients were followed up from 24 to 36 months after operation to observe the intrauterine pregnancy.Logistic regression was used to analyze the influencing factors of intrauterine pregnancy. Results: After 24-36 months follow-up, the patients were not contraception and pregnant under the guidance of doctors.Among the 253 cases, 182 (71.1%) were intrauterine pregnancy, 37 (14.6%) were ectopic pregnancy, and 34 (13.4%) were not pregnant.The results of logistic regression showed that high level of hCG, severe pelvic adhesions, obstruction of fallopian tube and history of ectopic pregnancy were the risk factors of intrauterine pregnancy (OR (95%CI) 1.982 (1.075-3.149), 2.410 (1.279-5.069), 2.485 (1.071-3.594), 5.071 (1.094-9.081), P<0.05 or P<0.01). Conclusion The reproductive outcome of laparoscopic conservative surgery for tubal pregnancy is influenced by many factors.The high level of hCG in preoperative blood, severe pelvic adhesions, obstruction of tubal and ectopic pregnancy history are the risk factors of postoperative pregnancy.

Objective: To observe the anti-inflammatory effect, as well as the effect on the expression of microtubule-associated protein light chain 3B (LC3B) and Beclin-1 of herbal cake-partitioned moxibustion in rats with experimental autoimmune thyroiditis (EAT). Methods: Female Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into a normal group and a modeling group. The EAT rat model was prepared by a combination of antigen immunization plus iodine agent induction. After the model was prepared, rats in the modeling group were randomly and equally divided into a model group and a herbal cake-partitioned moxibustion group. In the herbal cake-partitioned moxibustion group, moxibustion was alternately applied to two groups of points [Dazhui (GV14)-Mingmen (GV4) and Tiantu (CV22)-Guanyuan (CV4)], and the treatment continued for 30 d. Rats in the normal and model groups were only fixed identically without intervention. Histopathological manifestations of thyroid glands were observed by hematoxylin-eosin staining; the concentrations of thyroid peroxidase antibodies (TPOAb), thyroglobulin antibodies (TGAb), interleukin-1β (IL-1β), interleukin-6 (IL-6), and tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) were detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay; real-time fluorescence quantitative polymerase chain reaction and immunohistochemistry were used to detect the mRNA and protein expression of autophagy-related factors LC3B and Beclin-1 in thyroid tissue. Results: There were massive follicular destruction, lymphocytic infiltration, and interstitial fibrous tissue hyperplasia of the thyroid glands in the model group. Some follicles of the thyroid glands were destroyed with few lymphocyte infiltrations and fibrous tissue hyperplasia in the moxibustion group. Compared with the normal group, the concentrations of serum TPOAb, TGAb, IL-1β, IL-6, and TNF-α were increased in the model rats (P<0.05); the mRNA and protein expression levels of LC3B and Beclin-1 in thyroid tissue were reduced in the model group (P<0.05). Compared with the model group, the concentrations of serum TPOAb, TGAb, IL-1β, IL-6, and TNF-α were reduced in the herbal cake-partitioned moxibustion group (P<0.05); the mRNA and protein expression levels of LC3B and Beclin-1 in thyroid tissue were increased in the herbal cake-partitioned moxibustion group (P<0.05). The mRNA and protein expression of LC3B and Beclin-1 in thyroid tissue was negatively correlated with the serum levels of TPOAb and TGAb.Conclusion: Herbal cake-partitioned moxibustion reduces the inflammatory response in the thyroid glands of EAT rats and lowers the levels of serum TPOAb and TGAb. This may be related to the regulation of mRNA and protein expression of the autophagy-associated factors LC3B and Beclin-1 in rat thyroid tissue.

Objective: To observe the clinical efficacy of herbal cake-partitioned moxibustion for ulcerative colitis (UC) and elucidate its mechanism by targeting the vitamin D receptor (VDR) signaling pathway. Methods: A total of 63 patients with UC were randomly divided into an observation group (30 cases, treated with herbal cake-partitioned moxibustion) and a control group (33 cases, treated with sham herbal cake-partitioned moxibustion). Moxibustion treatment was performed at Qihai (CV6) and bilateral Tianshu (ST25) and Shangjuxu (ST37), 3 times per week for 12 weeks. The total effective rate, visual analog scale (VAS) score for abdominal bloating and pain, and hospital anxiety and depression scale (HADS) score were compared between the two groups. Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay was used to detect the concentrations of serum C-reactive protein (CRP), 25-hydroxyvitamin D [25(OH)D], and interleukin-12 (IL-12)/interleukin-23 (IL-23) p40. Immunohistochemistry was used to observe the expression levels of VDR and regenerating gene Ⅳ (Reg Ⅳ) proteins in colonic mucosa. The expression levels of VDR, cytochrome p45027B1 (CYP27B1), and Reg Ⅳ mRNAs were detected by real-time fluorescence quantitive polymerase chain reaction. Results: After treatment, the total effective rate in the observation group was 86.7％, which was significantly higher than 51.5％ in the control group (P<0.05). After treatment, the VAS scores for abdominal bloating and pain in the observation group were significantly decreased (P<0.01), as well as the HADS-depression subscale (HADS-D) and HADS-anxiety subscale (HADS) scores (P<0.05), while only the VAS score for abdominal pain in the control group was reduced (P<0.05), and the improvements of the scores in the observation group were more significant than those in the control group (P<0.05). After treatment, the serum CRP concentrations in both groups and the IL-12/IL-23 p40 concentration in the observation group were significantly decreased (P<0.05), and the concentrations in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). The expression levels of VDR protein and mRNA in the colon in both groups were all increased (P<0.01), and the expression levels of Reg Ⅳ protein and mRNA and CYP27B1 mRNA were all decreased in the two groups (P<0.05 or P<0.01); the improvements in the observation group were more notable than those in the control group (P<0.05 or P<0.01). Conclusion: Herbal cake-partitioned moxibustion can effectively alleviate abdominal pain and diarrhea in patients with UC, improve depression and anxiety disorders, and regulate the expression of related proteins in the VDR signaling pathway. The mechanism may be related to inhibiting intestinal inflammation by reducing the release of the proinflammatory cytokine IL-12/IL-23 p40.

Objective: To observe the effect of herb-partition moxibustion on colonic inflammation in UC rats, and participate in the regulation of immune regulation via NF-κB pathway and STAT3 phosphorylation. Methods: Rats were randomly divided into normal group, the ulcerative colitis group (UC) group and herb-partition moxibustion group, with 8 rats in each group. The rat model of UC was induced by 4％ DSS. After successful modeling, the rats were treated with moxibustion on bilateral Tianshu acupoints (ST25) . Each acupoint was used with 2 Zhuang moxa, 1 time a day, for 7 times. The effect of the herb-partition moxibustion on UC rats was observed by comparing the histopathological and protein concentrations of serum proinflammatory cytokine. Western Blot was used to detect NF-κB pathway and STAT3 activity in colon tissue. Results: Colonic histopathology in the UC group showed that the mucosal epithelium with ulcer formation and obvious inflammatory response. The herb-partition moxibustion could repair colonic epithelial damage and reduce the inflammatory response of colon tissue in UC rats. Compared with the normal group, the serum IL-1β and IL-6 protein concentrations were significantly increased in the UC group (P ＜ 0.05, P ＜ 0.01), and the STAT3 phosphorylation level and protein expression levels of pIκB-α and NF-κB p65 were significantly increased. The protein expression level of IκB-α was significantly decreased. Compared with the UC group, the serum protein concentrations of IL-1β and IL-6 were significantly lower in the herb-partition moxibustion group (P ＜ 0.05), and protein expression level of NF-κB p65 was decreased in the colon tissue. The phosphorylation level of pIκB-α was decreased, while the protein expression level of IκB-α was increased. Conclusion: Herb-partition moxibustion reduced colonic inflammatory response in UC rats by DSS-induced, the underlying mechanism may related to decrease release of proinflammatory cytokines IL-1β and IL-6 via dual inhibition of NF-κB and STAT3 activation.

Objective:To investigate the relationship between the mechanism of mental dependence of propofol and adenosine A2A receptor-neurotransmitter-extracellular signal-regulated kinase (ERK) pathway in rats.Methods:Forty-eight healthy male Sprague-Dawley rats, aged about 7 weeks, weighing 200-300 g, were used in this study.The model of propofol dependence was established by intraperitoneal injection of propofol 40 mg/kg for 14 consecutive days.The rats were divided into 6 groups ( n=8 each) using a random number table method: central control group (group c-C), central agonist group (group c-CGS), central antagonist group (group c-DMPX), peripheral control group (group p-C), peripheral agonist group (group p-CGS) and peripheral antagonist group (group p-DMPX). Adenosine A2A agonist CGS-21680 2.5 ng/0.5 μl was intracranially injected immediately after establishing the model in group c-CGS, while the equal volume of normal saline was given instead in c-C group.CGS-21680 0.1 mg/kg was intraperitoneally injected in group p-CGS, while the equal volume of normal saline was given instead in group p-C.Adenosine A2A receptor antagonist DMPX 50 ng/0.5 μl was intracranially injected at 20 min before each propofol injection in group c-DMPX, and DMPX 0.25 mg/kg was intraperitoneally injected in group p-DMPX.The position preference value (CPP value) was determined before establishing the model, immediately after establishing the model, and after administration of agonist or normal saline (after intervention). The animals were sacrificed at 1 day after establishing the model, and blood samples and brain tissues were obtained for determination of the levels of dopamine (DA) and glutamate (Glu) in plasma and hippocampus and content of serotonin (5-HT) in cerebral cortex (by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) and expression of phosphorylated ERK1/2 (p-ERK1/2) in cerebral cortex (by Western blot). Results:Compared with the baseline before establishing the model, CPP value was increased immediately after establishing the model in c-C, c-CGS, p-C and p-CGS groups ( P<0.05), and no significant change was found in CPP value immediately after establishing the model in c-DMPX and p-DMPX groups ( P>0.05). Compared with the value immediately after establishing the model, no significant change was found in CPP value after intervention in c-C and p-C groups ( P>0.05), and CPP value was increased after intervention in c-CGS and p-CGS groups ( P<0.05). Compared with group c-C, the contents of hippocampal DA and Glu were significantly increased in group c-CGS, and the contents of hippocampal Glu were decreased, the content of 5-HT in cerebral cortex was increased, and the expression of p-ERK1/2 was down-regulated in group c-DMPX ( P<0.05). Compared with group p-C, no significant change was found in levels of DA and glutamate (Glu) in plasma and hippocampus and 5-HT and p-ERK1/2 in cerebral cortex in group p-CGS ( P>0.05), and the contents of hippocampal DA and Glu were significantly decreased, the content of 5-HT in cerebral cortex was increased, and the expression of p-ERK1/2 was down-regulated in group p-DMPX ( P<0.05). Conclusion:The mechanism underlying the development of propofol mental dependence may be related to activating adenosine A2A receptors, increasing excitatory neurotransmitters in brain, and thus up-regulating ERK activity in rats.

【Objective】 To analyze the hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection data of blood donors from 18 domestic blood stations, so as to investigate the HBV infection situation of blood donors. 【Methods】 The positive rate of HBV and its distribution characteristics of regions, the percentage of HBsAg+ ELISA in first-time vs repeated blood donors, and the percentage of HBsAg-/HBV DNA+ blood donors of 18 domestic blood stations during 2017 to 2020 were collected from the Working Platform for Practice Comparison of Blood Centers, and the HBV infection among blood donors were statistically analyzed. 【Results】 From 2017 to 2020, the positive rate of HBV in blood donors among 18 domestic blood stations was 13.48/10 000-144.02/10 000, with the average HBV positive rate in eastern, central and western region at 26.14/10 000, 51.98/10 000 and 41.00/10 000, respectively. The HBsAg+ rate by ELISA among first-time and repeated blood donors was 14.55/10 000-305.39/10 000 vs 1.04/10 000-87.43/10 000 The HBsAg-/HBV DNA+ yield was 1.80/10 000-35.31/10 000. 【Conclusion】 The distribution of HBV infection in blood donors has regional characteristics, and HBV prevalence was low in repeated blood donors. HBsAg ELISA combined with HBV DNA detection can better ensure blood safety.
