Journal of Biomedical Engineering 2015;32(5):1075-1078
This study aims to explore the temporal pattern of DNA breaks induced by nanosecond electric pulses (nsEP) in cisplatin-sensitive and cisplatin-resistant human ovarian cancer cells. Human ovarian cancer cells A2780 (cisplatin-sensitive subline) and C30 (cisplatin-resistant subline) were exposed to nsEP. Sham exposed groups were shame exposed to nsEP. Cell viability was determined using CCK-8 assay after 0 h, 4 h, 8 h, 12 h and 24 h, respectively, and the percentage of dead cells was calculated. The DNA break was detected with the alkaline single cell gel electrophoresis (comet assay), and the 75th percentiles of TL (tail length), TM (tail moment) and OTM (Olive tail moment) were measured. Cell viability displayed an early decrease and late increase, with the valley value seen at 8 h. Percentages of cell death and comet-formed in A2780 cells were higher than those in C30 cells (P < 0.05) at 8 h, respectively. TL, TM and OTM in C30 cells were less than those in A2780 cells (P < 0.05). The percentage of comet-formed correlated with that of cell death in either A2780 (r = 0.997, P < 0.05) or C30 (r = 0.998, P < 0.05) cells. DNA breaks induced by nsEP in cisplatin-sensitive cells differred from that in resistant cells, and DNA break resulted in fraction of cell death.

Journal of Central South University(Medical Sciences) 2017;42(3):298-302
Objective:To investigate association between loneliness and depressive episode among rural older people. Methods:A total of 839 rural adults (aged over 60 years) from Liuyang in Hunan were enrolled by using multi-stage cluster sampling method. The Short-form of the UCLA Loneliness Scale, the Social Support Rating Scale, the Life Events Scale for the Elderly,Quality of Life Scale, and the Activity of Daily Living Scale were used to assess loneliness, the social support condition, the stimulating quantity of negative life events, the quality of life, and the abilities of daily life activities, respectively. The Structured Clinical Interview for DSM-Ⅳ-TR Axis I Disorders questionnaire survey was performed by a face-to-face interview. Results:The prevalence rate of depressive episode among the rural older people was 6.8%.Multivariable analysis showed that the elderly who were with stronger loneliness were the risk factor of depression (OR=1.126,95%CI 1.038 to 1.221).Conclusion:Loneliness is positively associated with an increased risk of depressive episode.

Objective To discuss the informatization of multi hospitals. Methods Considering about the current situation of in‐formation construction to the First Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University, a set of solution was put forward based on the all in one card together with the two level information platform. Results Initial trials proved the feasibility of the solution. Con‐clusion The informatization of the multi hospitals contributes a lot to the source sharing between the regional hospitals, the im‐provement of hospital management and a better medical service.

AIM: To determine the contents of tetrandrine and fangchinoline in Qingshenjianfei Tablets by RP-HPLC. METHODS:In this method Zorbax C 18 column was used, and methanol—0.3%diethylamine (75∶25) as a mobile phase , the detection wavelength was at 242 nm. RESULTS:The recovery of tetrandrine was 103.65% and RSD was 1.59% .The recovery of fangchinoline was 97.11% and RSD was 1.91% (n=6). CONCLUSION: This method is simple, quick, reproducible and can be used for the quantitative analysis。
9.Expression of leukemia inhibitory factor in osteoarthritic tissues in rabbits and human:an experimental and clinical study

Chinese Journal of Orthopaedic Trauma 2004;0(07):-
Objective To investigate the regulation expression of leukemia inhibitory factor(LIF)in hu- man and animal osteoarthritic(OA)tissues and its clinical relevance. Methods 1)Thirty-five Japanese rabbits, aged eight months, were used to make models of experimental osteoarthritis.Operations were performed at the right knee and the sham ones at the left knee in each rabbit.Rabbits were sacrificed on the 3,7,14,28,42,56 and 84 days after operation respectively.Cartilage and synovium of the knee were collected to observe histological changes of osteoarthritis at different times;immunohistochemistry analysis was conducted to observe the LIF expression and distribution in the cartilage and synovium of the animals.2)From April 2003 to October 2003,32 samples of human articular tissues(cartilage, subchondral bone and synovium)were obtained in the operational procedures and a good quantity of RNA was isolated using Magnetic Beads. The patients who underwent articular operations donated the samples. In the reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR),the mRNA expression of LIF was mea- sured by semi-quantity analysis and the location of LIF protein was determined by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA).Results A slight expression of LIF was seen in normal cartilage but less in synovium. However, the expression of LIF was remarkable in synovial lining cells, superficial and middle layers of cartilage in animal os- teoarthritis. There was a significant difference in expression between the animal osteoarthritis and the control group (P<0.05 ).In human tissue study,LIF mRNA was expressed to a very low level in normal articular tissues and there was no significant difference(P>0.05)between different anatomical locations. In moderate degrading sub- chondral bone,LIF mRNA was expressed to its highest level.LIF was expressed to the highest level in seriously degrading cartilage tissues. The results were similar to ELISA testing results.LIF extents varied in different articular tissue sections. Conclusions LIF is an important mediator that can contribute to tbe pathogenesis of OA.The different temporal and spatial distributions of LIF in normal and OA tissues imply that LIF may play some important roles in pathogenesis of OA.

International Eye Science 2014;(8):1440-1443
AIM:To investigate the differences among Lenstar 900, A-scan ultrasound and keratometer in measurement of axial length ( AL ) , anterior chamber depth ( ACD ) and corneal curvature ( K1 , K2 , Km ) , and evaluate the consistency of the instruments, with the purpose providing references for the clinical application of Lenstar 900.
METHODS: In this study we picked up 36 patients ( 50 eyes ) underwent cataract surgery, and lens nucleus hardness were under level IV. Before the operation, AL, ACD and K1 , K2 , Km were measured by Lenstar 900, A-scan ultrasound and keratometer respectively. The differences between the results were compared by the paired t-test. The correlation of the results was analyzed by Pearson correlation analysis, and the consistency was measured by Bland-Ahamn method.
RESULTS: The mean AL and ACD values measured by Lenstar 900 and A-scan ultrasound had no significantly statistic differences (P>0. 05). The K1, K2, Km measured by Lenstar 900 and keratometer were not significantly statistical different (P>0. 05). The results measured by these three instruments had close linearity correlation ( r>0.9, P<0. 01). The consistency of the results was well in Bland-Ahamn analysis.
CONCLUSION:The preoperatively biometric result of Lenstar 900, A - scan ultrasound and keratometer in patients with cataract are all reliable, and they can be substituted by each other. However, Lenstar 900 can not only measure AL, ACD and corneal curvature at the same time, but also cornal thickness, lens thickness, white to white, pupil size, optical axis eccentricity, retinal thickness and so on. It has a number of advantages such as non-touching, convenient and efficient, and can be recommended to use widely.
