An isocratic high-performance liquid-chromatographic method is-described for the simultaneously determining carbamazepine and its biologically active metabolite, carbamazepine-10, 11-epoxide. Serum samples containing an internal standard (10-methoxycarba-mazepine) are extracted with dichlor-methane and 4 mol ? L-1 sodium hydroxide. The organic extract are evaporated at ambient temperature under a stream of nitrogen. The residues are reconstituted in mobile phase and injected on to a re-versed-phase C18 Column (150?4. 6mm I. D). The mobile phase consists of ace-tontrile/methanol/water (50/210/260 by vol) . The UV detector is operated at 214nm. The elution times of all com-pounds are within 7 min.The least detectable concentrations of carbamazepine and carbamazepine-10, 11-epoxide are 0. 08mg ? L-1 and 0.1mg ? L-1, respectively. The average absolute recovery for carbamazepine is 96.0% and for carbamazepine-10,11-epoxide is 97.3%. Within-run CV is 3. 3%~5.7%. and between-run CV is 4.3%~9.0%. The standard curve is linear at least within 40mg ? L-1 for carbamazepine and within 20mg ? L-1 for carbamazepine-10, 11-epoxide.

Objective To explore the correlation of random spot albuminuria to creatinine ratio (ACR) and 24 h uri?nary protein, and the diagnostic value of ACR in women with hypertensive disorders complicating pregnancy (HDCP). Meth?ods A total of 584 women with HDCP (169 with gestational hypertension, 205 with mild pre-eclampsia, 173 with severe pre-eclampsia and 37 with chronic hypertension) and 2 038 normal pregnant women were included in this study. Changes of ACR, 24-h urinary protein and other biochemical indicators were compared between groups. Bivariate correlation analysis was used to analyze the relationship between ACR, 24-h urinary protein and other biochemical indicators. Receiver operat?ing characteristic curve (ROC) was used to analyze the sensitivity, specificity and optimal cut off value of ACR for predicting HDCP. Results (1)There were significantly higher levels of ACR, 24-h urinary protein, blood urea nitrogen (BUN), serum creatinine (Cr), uric acid (UA), total cholesterol (TC) and low density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL) and significantly lower val?ues of platelet (PLT), serum albumin and total protein in women with severe preeclampsia than those of other groups ( P <0.05). (2) There were positive correlation between ACR and 24-h urinary protein, BUN, Cr, UA, D-dimer, TC, LDL (P <0.05). (3) The optimal cut off value of ACR for predicting gestational hypertension, mild preeclampsia, severe preeclampsia (24-h urinary protein≥2 g,≥5 g) were 1.44, 10.48, 39.84, 94.91 g/mol separately. Conclusion There is positive correla?tion between ACR and 24 hour urinary protein. ACR can be used for diagnosing and estimating the severity degree of hyper?tensive disorders complicating pregnancy.

Objective:To observe the efficacy of acupuncture-moxibustion therapy in treating urinary retention after surgery for cervical cancer. Methods:Fifty eligible patients were randomized into a treatment group and a control group by their visiting sequence, 25 in each group. The control group was intervened by indwelling urethral catheter after gynecological surgery; while the treatment group started to receive acupuncture-moxibustion and cupping treatment at the 7th day after surgery, in addition to the intervention given to the control group. The residual urine volume and total effective rate of the two groups were detected. Results:After 7-day treatments, the total effective rate was 92.0% in the treatment group versus 72.0% in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion:Acupuncture-moxibustion treatment plus cupping based on the conventional intervention is effective for urinary retention after surgery for cervical cancer, worth promoting in clinic.

Objective To evaluate the performance verification of serum copper detected by Roche Cobas 8000 automatic biochemical analyzer.Methods Referring to CLSI files and other documents,the precision,accuracy,analysis of measuring range and reference interval of serum copper from Roche Cobas 8000 automatic biochemical analyzer were verified.Results The coefficient of variations (CV) of within-run precision with high and low values were 2.96％,2.91％,respectively;CV of the between-run precision with high and low values were 3.07％,2.99％,respectively,which were all less than the CV provided by the manufacturer (10.00％).The bias between detection results and target value were 1.78％ and 1.56％,respectively,which were all within the measurement range of quality assessment.Analysis of measuring range of the detected items was in line with the linear range provided by the specification.The quotative biological reference range conformed to the group of this laboratory services.ConclusionThe main analytic characteristic of serum copper measurement by Roche Cobas 8000 automatic biochemical analyzer is consistent with acceptable quality standards,and the experimental evaluation project of CLSI shows maneuverability and practicability.

Objective To study the radiosensitization effects of tetrandrine on advanced non small cell lung cancer and its toxicity.Methods The patients of 82 cases with advanced non-small cell lung cancer were confirmed by pathology or cytology.The first course of treatment was treated with radiation therapy.Patients were divided into three groups:tetrandrine group,paclitaxel group and radiotherapy group.Tetrandrine group(30 cases)took radiotherapy with 40 mg tetrandrine(3 times a day)from the first day to the ending.Paclitaxel group (29 cases)took radiotherapy with intravenous infusion of 60 mg paclitaxel(once a week).Radio-therapy group (23 cases)only received radiotherapy.Results Tetrandrine and paclitaxel had the same radiosensitizing effect in ra-diotherapy.The total effective rate of tetrandrine and paclitaxel group was higher than radiotherapy group (P <0.05 ).The inci-dence of radiation pneumonitis in tetrandrine group was significantly lower than the other two groups (P <0.05).The one year free disease survival rate was promoted in tetrandrine group than other groups.Conclusion Tetrandrine was known as the same radia-tion sensitizing effect of paclitaxel fairly,which can reduce the toxicity of radiotherapy.

20 patients with myofascial pain dysfunction syndrome(MPDS)were were treated by NTI-tss splint only during night for 2 months.After treatment,VAS decreased(P <0.01)and active maximum mouth opening degree increased(P <0.01).NTI-tss splint is ef-fective in the treatment of MPDS.Its side effect needs to be further observed.

OBJECTIVE:To study the preventive effects of arhinhor-11 on acute alcoholism in mice. METHODS:48 mice were randomly divided into model group (sodium carboxymethyl cellulose),arhinhor-11 low-dose,medium-dose and high-dose groups [1.23,2.46,4.92 g(crude drug)/kg],with 12 mice in each group. Each group was given relevant medicine intragastrically, and 30 min later given 56% liquor intragastrically to induce acute alcoholism model. The disappearance time and recovery time of righting reflex were determined. 160 mice were grouped,given medicine and modeled with the same method,with 40 mice in each group. The alcohol concentration and alcohol dehydrogenase(ADH)activity in liver of 10 mice were determined 0.5,1,2,3 h af-ter giving alcohol. Other 10 mice were included in normal control (ig administration of sodium carboxymethyl cellulose). RE-SULTS:Compared with model group,the disappearance time of righting reflex were prolonged while recovery time shortened in arhinhor-11 groups,and alcohol concentration and ADH activity increased 0.5,1,2,3 h after giving alcohol (P<0.05 or P<0.01),especially 1 h after giving alcohol. 3 h after giving alcohol,alcohol concentration in blood of arhinhor-11 high-dose group decreased while ADH activity increased (P<0.05);there was no statistical significance among other arhinhor-11 groups (P>0.05). CONCLUSIONS:Arhinhor-11 has preventive effect on acute alcoholism in mice. It has a positive control effects on the alco-hol concentration in blood and ADH activity in liver.
