OBJECTIVE To check the defects of nosocomial infections reports,recording of the patient′s history,and antibiotics usage,so as to improve hospital management and reduce nosocomial infection.METHODS Patient′s records from Jan 1,2008 to Dec 31,2008 were reviewed to find out the defects and feedback to the physicians.RESULTS Some problems of 5995 cases were checked out and corrected,some suggestions were made.CONCLUSIONS Checking the patient′s records may supplement the defects of prospective monitor,direct the antibiotics therapy,and monitor occurrence of drug resistance.

Objective To study the early diagnosis and treatment of traumatic diaphragmatic hernia(TDH). Methods Retrospective analysis of the clinical data of 23 cases of TDH was made. Result 12 cases(51%) were preoperatively diagnosed,10 cases(43.5%) misdiagnosed,1 case was misdiagnosed during exploration laporatomy. 20 cases(86.9%) were cured and 3(13.1%) died. 1 case died of toxic shock because of misdignosis resulted in intestinal strangulation. Conclusions Increasing knowledge, dynamic observation of the disease and X-ray, promptly exploration can reduce the rate of misdiagnosis of TDH. With early diagnosis and treatment, most cases of TDH can be cured. The main cause of the death results from delayed diagnosis and treatment, and not related to TDH itself.

Objective To strengthen the capability of emergent supply in field medical point.Methods The common application program was designed by using PowerBuilder.The database program was Oracle.Results The assistant conduction and management of information were realized including the information of staff,war materials,equipment,wounded soldiers in the field medicine.Conclusion Information management system in field hospital can rapidly and accurately provide all kinds of information for users.It can be extensively applied in all levels of field hospitals.

Objective Objective To study the feasibility of direct applying MRI to TPS by measuring the geometric distortion of MRI. Methods Phantom 1 was made by marking radical arrangement of fat pipelines every 15? in foam phantom and Phantom 2 by net arrangement at every 2.7?cm. Coronal and transverse scan parallel with the radial and net fat pipeline in the phantom was performed at sequence of cranial FSE T2WI by Marconi 1.5T superconduct MRI machine. Geometric distortion in 5 different fields of view (FOV) was calculated by measuring the absolute borderline error of direct scan and coronal digital reconstructed radiograph (DRR). Results When FOV was equal or smaller than 11.0?cm?11.0?cm, 22.0?cm?22.0?cm and 27.5?cm?27.5?cm, the geometric distortion was 0.0, 1.1 and 1.4?mm of direct scanning MRI and 1.0,1.4 and 2.0?mm of coronal DRR. Conclusion When the magnetic field of MR is high and the tissue shows uniform density, MRI can be applied on TPS directly.

Objective:To sutdy effects of Compound Anmei Oral Liquid on spontaneous activity, sleep, convulsion of experimental mice.Methods: The effects of oral liquid were observed in the spontaneous activity and the sleep time of mice when they were given Nembuta in a threshold dose or a subliminal dose and its anti convulsant effect to investigate the actions of oral liquid.Results: This oral liquid could inhibit the spontaneous activity and cooperate with pentobarbital sodium to effect the sleep time of mice. It also resist convulsion. Conclusions: Compound Anmei Oral Liquid has obvious sedation, hypnosis and anti convulsant effect.

Objective: To establish the quality standard for Qiankun Liquid.Methods: Fructus Lycii、Fructus Cnidii、Radix Ginseng in Qiankun Liquid were identified by TLC, and the content of icariin was determined by HPLC.Results: Fructus Lycii、Fructus Cnidii、Radix Ginseng could be identified by TLC. Icariin showed a good linear relationship at a range of 0.126～1.008?g, r =0.9999. Conclusion: The method is accurate and can be used for the quality control of Qiankun Liquid.

Objective To investigated the different effect of moderate-intensity continuous training (MCT) and high-intensity interval exercise training (HIT) on ventricular remodeling and mitochondrial homeostasis after acute myocardial infarction (AMI).Methods The AMI rat model was achieved by ligating coronary artery.The AMI and sham operation rats were randomly (random number) divided into four groups:sham operation group (Sham),AMI control group (AMI),AMI MCT group (AMI + M),and AMI HIT group (AMI + H).Animals in the AMI + M and AMI + H groups underwent 4 weeks MCT and HIT respectively.Five weeks after AMI,hemodynamic changes,mitochondrial bioenergetics,and PINK1,Beclinl,Mfn2,Drp1,Tfam,COXⅣ,PGC-1α were detected.Results Comparing with AMI group,in AMI + M and AMI + H groups,Beclin1,PINK1,Mfn2 and PGC-1α expression elevated significantly (P ＜0.05 or P ＜0.01),whereas ROS generation and Drp1 expression showed dramatic decrease (P ＜ 0.05 or P＜0.01).In addition,in AMI + H group,±dp/dt max,mitochondrial membrane potential,ATP synthesis activity,Tfam and COXⅣ expression improved significantly (P ＜ 0.05).Comparing with AMI + M group,in AMI + H group,± dp/dt max,PGC-1α,Tfam and COX Ⅳ expression improved significantly (P ＜ 0.05).Conclusions HIT is superior to MCT for ameliorating ventricular remodeling and mitochondrial homeostasis after AMI.

BACKGROUND:Cytokines play an important role in the occurrence and development of graft-versus-host disease, but there is a current lack of reports on the association between cytokines and graft-versus-host disease after al ogeneic hematopoietic stem cel transplantation for treatment ofβ-thalassemia major.
OBJECTIVE:To investigate the association between cytokines and graft-versus-host disease after al ogeneic hematopoietic stem cel transplantation forβ-thalassemia major.
METHODS:We observed the dynamic variation of interleukin 6, interleukin 8, interleukin 12, tumor necrosis factor-αand macrophage migration inhibitory factor in 11 children withβ-thalassemia major before onset of graft-versus-host disease, when graft-versus-host disease occurred, at days 4 and 7 after onset of graft-versus-host disease, and when graft-versus-host disease disappeared.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:There was a significant difference in serum levels of interleukin-6, interleukin-12, tumor necrosis factor-α, macrophage migration inhibitory factor in different time points, and the highest levels of different cytokines appeared when graft-versus-host disease occurred, fol owed by those at 7 days after
graft-versus-host disease. There was a significant difference in serum levels of interleukin-8 in different time points, and the highest level appeared at 4 days after graft-versus-host disease. The dynamic expression of interleukin-6, interleukin-8, interleukin-12, tumor necrosis factor-α, macrophage migration inhibitory factor can estimate the immune function ofβ-thalassemia major patients who develops graft-versus-host disease after al ogeneic hematopoietic stem cel transplantation, and can be used as the immunobiology indicators for the early diagnosis of graft-versus-host disease.

BACKGROUND: As a new radiotherapy for malignant tumor, brachytherapy of radioactive seed implantation enables the inter-tissue implantation of radioactive seeds to be applied further with the appearance of seed implantation treatment planning system (TPS), and the gradual consummation of ultrasound and CT-guided precise positioning system.OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the methods, feasibility, safety and efficacy of CT-guided iodine-125 (125I) implantation for malignant tumors.DESIGN: A controlled observation before and after implantation.SETTING: The First People's Hospital of Hefei City.PARTICIPANTS: Twenty-one patients with malignant tumors, who were not suitable for surgical treatments of operation,were selected from the First People's Hospital of Hefei City from January 2004 to March 2005. There were 26 lesions, including 9 lesions of primary unresectable carcinoma and 17 lesions of metastasis tumors.METHODS: Under CT guidance, 125I seeds were implanted into malignant tumor according to TPS, the radioactivity quantum were 22, 26, 30 and 33 MBq per granule. Larger radiation 125I wes suitable for the implantation in the center of a lesion and smaller ones were for the margin of the lesion and the peripheral region of some important organisms such as vessels and nerves. The interval between larger seeds was about 1.5 cm whereas the interval between smaller ones was about 1.0 cm.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: The seed distribution, existence of complication and changes of the size of lesion after implantation were observed.RESULTS: ① The seeds were implanted successfully in all the 21 cases. No complication was observed. The practical distribution of the implanted seeds was basically the same as the scheduled scheme before implantation. All the 21 patients were involved in the analysis of results. ② The number of seeds implanted in one lesion was 5 to 40 (mean 14).Pain relief was obtained in all 10 cases of malignant tumors of bone after implantation. Follow-up CT reexamination demonstrated that 18 lesions were obviously diminished, necrosis was found in 4 lesions and remaining 4 lesions had no significant changes in size. ③ The average sizes of 14 lesions in 11 patients at 5-7 months after implantation were obviously smaller than those before implantation (1.84 cm vs 3.41 cm, t =5.7237, P ＜ 0.001). The average sizes of 12 lesions in 10 patients at 8-10 months after implantation were also obviously smaller than those before implantation (1.96 cm vs 3.43 cm, t =5.577 8, P ＜ 0.002).CONCLUSION: CT-guided 125I implantation is a safe, effective and feasible method for the treatment of malignant tumor.

BACKGROUND:It is unclear whether short-term high-intensity interval training (HIT) can be used to protect against myocardium injury after acute myocardial infarction, as wel as the underlying mechanism.
OBJECTIVE:To observe the effects of short-term HIT on the ventricular remodeling and mitochondrial content after acute myocardial infarction, and the biological effect of mitochondrial biogenesis and autophagy in this process.
METHODS:Male Sprague-Dawley rats were modeled into acute myocardial infarction by ligating coronary artery. One week later, HIT was performed:each interval consisted of 4-minute high-intensity running (80%of maximal oxygen consumption) and 3-minute active recovery (40%of maximal oxygen consumption), for 4 consecutive weeks of 5 days each week, repeated 7 cycles.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Four-week HIT after acute myocardial infarction could markedly enhance left ventricular pump function and mitochondrial content, improve mitochondrial membrane potential and ATP synthetic activity, inhibit mitochondrial reactive oxygen species generation, up-regulate PGC-1α/Tfam induced mitochondrial biogenesis and Bnip3/Beclin-1 induced autophagy. These results indicate that short-term HIT can improve normal mitochondrial content after acute myocardial infarction, which in turn ameliorates myocardial systolic property and energy metabolism. As a cardiac rehabilitation method, HIT exhibits fine timeliness.
