1.A clinical comparative study of 99Tcm-tetrofosmin with 99Tcm-MIBI in breast carcinoma and axillary lymph node metastases

Objective To evaluate the clinical diagnostic value of 99Tcm-tetrofosmin in the imaging of breast carcinoma and axillary lymph node metastases and to compare with that of 99Tcm-MIBI. Methods 52 females with breast masses were examined by 99Tcm-tetrofosmin scintigraphy and 99Tcm-MIBI scintigraphy.All the results were compared with that from pathologic study. Results 26 patients were found to have a primary malignancy of the breast ,whereas 30 had benign disease. 99Tcm-tetrofosmin breast imaging showed abnormal uptake in 21 of 26 malignancies and in 11 of 16 axillary lymph node metastases.The sensitivity ,specificity, and accuracy values obtained with 99Tcm-tetrofosmin and 99Tcm-MIBI scintigraphy for breast carcinoma were 80.8%, 76.7%, 78.6%,and 73.1%,73.3%,73.2%, respectively. The values obtained with 99Tcm-tetrofosmin and 99Tcm-MIBI scintigraphy for axillary lymph node metastases were 68.8%, 80.0%, 76.0%,and 75.0%,80.0%,76.9%, respectively. Conclusions Both of the two techniques are effective in the differentiation of malignant breast mass-es from benign ones and in detecting axillary lymph node metastases.However , 99Tcm-tetrofosmin is superior to 99Tcm-MIBI in detecting breast carcinoma.
2.Tri-cuff vascular anastomosis for the heterotopic small bowel transplantation in rat

Objective To improve the vascular anastomosis of the rat small intestinal transplantation, reduce the ischemia of transplanted intestine and make it apt to survive, simplify the operation procedure, elevate the operation success rate. Methods Artery anastomosis was done by employing the cuff anastomosis between a segment of donor abdominal aorta with superior mesenteric artery and recipient abdominal aorta, and venous anastomosis by employing the cuff anastomosis between donor's portal vein and recipient's left renal vein, namely Tri cuff anastomosis. Results Sixty six out of 70 transplant operation cases survived with the operation success rate being 92.9 % . Total operation time was about 2 3 h . The average time for the arterial anatomosis and venous anastomosis was (5?2) min and (2?1) min, respectively. Conclusion The method simplifies the rat small intestine transplantation, shortens the operation time and improves the operation survival rate.
3.The closed re-infusion of intestinal juice for intestinal fistula

Objective: To investigate the influence of the closed re-infusion of intestinal juice and EN on the treatment of intestinal fistula.Methods: The study group was composed of 21 patients of intestinal fistula from October 2004 to December 2006.The fistulae was in the 50 cm of the proximate jejunum and caused by trauma and operatin.The leak amount of intestinal juice was more than 1 000 mL.The protein level in serum and the absorption rates of the glucose,fat and nitrogen after the reinfusion of the intestinal juice were measured.Resutls: The protein level in serum and the absorption rates of the glusose,fat and nitrogen was increased after the re-infusion of the intestinal juice.Conclusion: The absorption of the glucose,fat and nitrogen in EN and the protein level in serum can be increased after the closed re-infusion of the intestinal juice.
4.Diagnosis and treatment of primary malignant tumors of the duodenum:a report of 82 cases

Objective To investigate the clinical manifestations, histopathological patterns, and methods of diagnosis and treatment of primary malignant duodenal tumors. Methods The data of 82 patients with primary malignant duodenal tumors confirmed by pathology and admitted to our hospital over a 10-year period were analyzed retrospectively. Results Tumor location:Tumors were located in the peripapilla region in 64 cases, at the descending portion of the duodenum in 11 cases, at other regions of the duodenum in 7 cases. The common presenting symptoms and signs were abdominal pain in 57 cases, jaundice 53 cases, and gastrointestinal bleeding in 41 cases. In these patients, radical resection of tumor was performed in 36 cases, palliative resection of tumor in 31cases,and operative intervention was not done in 15 cases.The 5-year survival rate of followed-up patients in this group was 2.4%. Conclusions The common presenting symptoms and signs of patients with primary malignant duodenal tumors were abdominal pain, jaundice and GI bleeding, but these patients usually lack specific symptoms and signs. The chief pathologic type is adenocarcinoma and the predisposed site of occurrence is the duodenal papillary region and the descending duodenum . CT, B ultrasonography and gastroduodenoscopy are the chief measures for the diagnosis of primary duodenal malignant tumors, and surgical resection is the main modality of treatment of this disease. The prognosis of primary duodenal malignant tumors is very poor.
5.TP53 polymorphisms are involved in inverse colorectal cancer comorbidity in Chinese schizophrenia patients

The inverse cancer comorbidity in schizophrenia patients may be related to the genetic factors ,involving the regu‐lation of apoptosis .The tumour suppressor gene TP53 ,involved in neural apoptosis ,is one of the potential candidate genes associat‐ed with schizophrenia which might reduce colorectal cancer risk .We recruited 270 schizophrenia patients and 312 colorectal cancer patients without schizophrenia .To examine the genetic association between schizophrenia and colorectal cancer ,we analysed eight SNPs (rs12951053 ,rs1625895 ,rs2909430 ,rs9895829 ,rs1042522 ,rs8079544 ,rs8064946 ,rs17806770) covering 14 .35 kb in the re‐gion of TP53 .We observed that one of the eight genetic polymorphisms showed statistically significant differences between the colo‐rectal cancer subjects and the schizophrenia subjects (rs12951053 ,P=0 .000 1 ,OR 1 .70 ,95% CI 1 .30-2 .23) .In addition ,the hap‐lotype of A‐G (rs12951053‐rs8064946) ,giving a global P=0 .001 8 ,was the most significant .Our data indicate that the polymor‐phisms of rs12951053 in TP53 confer reduced susceptibility to colorectal cancer and suggest a potential protective mechanism a‐gainst colorectal cancer in the schizophrenia patients of Han Chinese origin .

7.Preparation and purity determination of sinapine from seeds of Brassica alba

Objective:Preparated from seeds of Brassica alba, Sinapine was determinated by RP-HPLC. Methods: Seeds of Brassica alba were shattered, defatted by ether, extracted by alcohol, and crystallized by potassium thiocyanate, then ethanol and water were used to recrystallize for several times. The determination was performed by reversed-phase high performance liquid chromatography(RP-HPLC), using ZORBAX SB-Aq column 4.6 mm?250 mm, 5 ?m. The mobile phase consisted of acetonitrile-0.08 mol/L KH2P04 (20:80) at a flow rate of 1.0 ml/min, and the detection wavelength was 326 nm. Results: Pale yellow needle-like sinapine crystal was obtained, and the yield rate was 0.82%. The purity of sinapine thiocyanate crystal was over 95%. Conclusion: Preparation sinapine by this solvent extraction method was simple, high-purity, high yield, and could be used for industrial production.
8.Correlation Analysis of the Detection Rate of Carbapenems-resistant Gram-negative Bacillus with Drug Consumption in Our Hospital

OBJECTIVE:To provide reference for standardizing the clinical use of carbapenem antibiotics and controlling drug-resistant bacteria infection. METHODS:The detection of 3 kinds of carbapenems-resistant Gram-negative bacillus in our hospi-tal during 2011-2016 were analyzed retrospectively. The consumption,target cure rate and treatment course of carbapenem antibiot-ics were analyzed statistically. The correlation between detection rate of drug-resistant bacteria with the consumption of carbapenem antibiotics was investigated by Pearson test. RESULTS:During 2011-2016,1222 strains of carbapenems-resistant Acinetobacter bauman (CRAB),655 strains of carbapenems-resistant Pseudomonas aeruginosa (CRPA) and 53 strains of carbapenem-resistant Escherichia coli (CRE) were detected in our hospital. The detection rates increased from 23.88%,8.92%,0.09% in 2011 to 80.34%,35.74%,0.97% in 2016. The types of carbapenem antibiotics in our hospital were mainly imipenem and meropenem. The consumption of them increased from 4222,145 g in 2011 to 7218,4387 g in 2016. The both target cure rates were all lower than 60%,and the proportion of the patients with treatment course >14 d was more than 65%. The detection rates of CRAB,CR-PA and CRE were positively correlated with the consumption of carbapenem antibiotics (r>0.9,P<0.05). CONCLUSIONS:The detection rate of carbapenems-resistant Gram-negative bacillus and drug consumption increase year by year in our hospital,and they have certain correlation. The target cure rate of carbapenem antibiotics in our hospital is in low level,and there is a long treatment course. They are should be standardized in the clinic. The selection of carbapenem antibiotics should be strictly followed clinical in-dications so as to reduce the generation of drug-resistant strains.
9.Effect of Electroacupuncture on the Synaptic Number Density and Surface Density in the Cerebral Ischemic Areas of Rats with Focal Cerebral Ischemia at Different Time

Objective To investigate the effect of electroacupuncture(EA)in improving the reconstruction of synapse after cerebral ischemia.Methods Forty-five Wistar rats were divided into 3 groups:sham-operated group,ischemia group and EA group.The number density(Nv)of synapses and the surface density(Sv)of synaptic joint band were observed 1 hour,1 day,3 days,1 week and 3 weeks after ischemia and EA, respectively.Heat-coagulation-induced occlusion of the middle cerebral artery was performed to establish the model of focal cerebral ischemia.EA group received EA on the acupoints of Baihui and Dazhui.The changes of synaptie structure,Nv and Sv as well as the influence of EA on the above indexes were observed in different time.Results There existed significant decrease of Nv and Sv 1 hour,1 day and 3 days after establishment of models in the isehemia group(P0.05).Conclusion EA can reduce the cerebral ischemic injury by increasing the synaptic amount and area in the cortex of rat model of cerebral isehemia at early stage,promoting the cerebral recovery after ischemia,which will provide substantial morphological basis for the improvement of synaptic reconstruction and recovery from cerebral isehemia by EA at different time after ischemic cerebral injury.

BACKGROUND:Neuroblastoma is a common solid tumor in children. Pediatric tumors are little affected by environmental factors, but closely related to child development. The suspension method is an effective and reliable method to harvest neoplastic stem cel s.
OBJECTIVE:To culture the cel clones of human neuroblastoma cel line SK-N-SH and to assess the biological properties of the cel clones.
METHODS:Using the suspension method with no serum media, tumor cel clones were obtained. Immunofluorescence method was used to identify whether tumor cel clones exhibit stem cel properties. SK-N-SH neuroblastoma was labeled by luciferase, and tumor cel clones and tumor cel s were seeded onto the back of nude mice to monitor cel proliferative properties in nude mice using in vivo imaging.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Using the suspension culture method, SK-N-SH neuroblastoma cel s could successful y develop into cloning bal s. Under serum-free culture, cloning bal s were immunofluorescently used to detect molecular markers that showed strong positive expression. Cloning bal s subcutaneously implanted into
nude mice showed the strong ability of self-renewal and differentiation as stem cel s. The cel clones cultured by the suspension method strongly expressed Nestin, but weakly expressed glial fibril ary acidic protein, neuron-specific tubulin, possessing stem cel characteristics and strong proliferation and metastasis in nude mice.
