Journal of Acupuncture and Tuina Science 2006;4(3):153-155
Objective: To investigate the efficacy of scalp acupuncture in combination with body acupuncture for treating pseudobulbar paralysis. Methods: Eighty patients were randomly divided into treatment and control groups, 40 cases each. The control group was treated by the routine method of Western medicine and the treatment group by combined scalp and body acupuncture on the basis of the former. The curative effect was evaluated after treatment in both groups. The influence of the treatment on mean blood velocity(MBV) in anterior, middle and posterior cerebral arteries was observed by transcranial Doppler(TCD) in both groups. Results: The total efficacy rate was 97.5% in the treatment group and 12.5% in the control group. The recovery rate was 75% in the treatment group and 0% in the control group. There was a significant difference between the two groups(P< 0. 01). TCD showed that blood velocity in cerebral arteries was significantly increased and the unbalanced stasis of the right and left cerebral blood flow changed in the treatment group. A comparison of MBV between pretreatment and posttreatment showed P < 0.01. Conclusion: Scalp acupuncture in combination with body acupuncture has a good effect on pseudobulbar paralysis.
2.Molecular targeted therapy of diffuse large B cell lymphoma
Journal of International Oncology 2012;39(4):311-315
The diffuse large B cell lymphoma (DLBCL) is the most common adult non-hodgkin lymphoma. At present, rituximab in combination with CHOP program has significantly improved the prognosis of DLBCL,and about 50% of the DLBCL can be cured. However, due to the heterogeneity of the tumor, the refractory and relapsed DLBCL is still lack of effective treatment methods. With the application of gene expression profile (GEP) and the thorough research of the activation of lymphoma cells signal way,a lot of potential therapeutic targets have been found.

Objective: To examine the effect of artificial fiber complexes (AFC) on growth and RBC membrane fluidity in comparison with three single fibers. Methods: 48 healthy, female Wistar rats (50-80 g) were randomly divided into 6 groups based on body weight. All five kinds of DF (cellulose, pectin, sodium alginate, cellulose pectin complex, cellulose sodium alginate complex) were given at a level of 10% in a lipid rich diet. The control group was fed lipid rich diet alone without DF. After 8 weeks, the effect on growth and development, lipid peroxidation, RBC membrane fluidity were studied. Results: 1.All DF groups did not affect the growth and development of the rats. 2.The fecal weight and its fat content in all DF groups were significantly higher than that in control group, especially for AFC group.3. All kinds of DF could increase serum SOD and GSH Px activities and reduce MDA content (except cellulose and sodium alginate group). RBC membrane fluidity was significantly increased in DF groups, and AFC groups were the most effective. Conclusion: All these kinds of DF have the effect of increasing RBC membrane fluidity, and AFC is the best.

Objective To investigate the effect of immunocompetent cells and immune regulator on the apoptosis of human mesenchymal stem cells ( MSCs) and on mRNA expression of heme oxygenase-1. Methods MSCs were cultured by density gradient centrifugation and then identified by flow cytometry. RT-PCR was used to detect HO-1 mRNA expression and flow cytometry was used to analyze cell apoptosis after the stimulation of IFN-? and PHA-activated T cells. Results The mRNA expression of Heme oxygenase-1 was observed in MSCs and decreased after the stimulation of IFN-? and activated T cells. IFN-?,znpp-Ⅸ and combined these two caused obvious cell apoptosis in MSCs,with an apoptotic rate of ( 56. 50 ? 0. 16) % ,( 56. 85 ? 2. 27) % ,and ( 82. 53 ? 2. 65) % respectively. All of them had a significant difference compared with the normal MSCs [( 7. 56 ? 1. 43) % ,P

This paper summarized perioperative nursing care of three patients undergoing surgical tumor resection and anterolateral femoral skin flap repair, with tumors involving intra-and extra-cranial regions from scalp squamous cell carcinoma breaking through the skull directly into the brain. Three surgical procedures were successfully per-formed by cooperation between two surgical departments and the average duration was 7 hours. The effective preop-erative infection control, perfect surgical plan, intraoperative team collaboration, effective aseptic technique and tumor-free technique were key points for the success of the operations. Close postoperative observation and positive psy-chological nursing also guaranteed operation success.

A high performance liquid chromatography-electrospray ionization mass spectrometry- charged aerosol detection ( HPLC-MS-CAD) method was established for the simultaneous quantitative analysis of four Lignans in Magnoliae Flos extract. The components were separated on a YMC-Pack ODS-A column (250 mm× 4. 6 mm, 5 μm) by gradient elution with methanol and water as the mobile phase at aflow rate of 1. 0 mL/min. Then the elution solution was routed into MS equipment at a flow rate of 0. 3 mL/min and CAD detector at a flow rate of 0. 7 mL/min by a split ratio of 3:7 for the further detection. The column temperature was 25 ℃ and the detection wavelength was 278 nm. A method was developed for the quantitative analysis of muti-components by single maker ( QAMS) to determine pinoresinol dimethylether, magnoli, 1irioresinol B dimethylethe and epi-magnoli A . Magnoli was selected as internal standard and the relative correction factors ( RCF) of the four Lignans were calculated. The contents of the four Lignans in Magnoliae Flos extract were determined by both external standard method and QAMS. The QAMS method was evaluated by comparison of its assay result and that of external standard method. Under the selected chromatographic condition, the limits of detection of pinoresinol dimethylether, magnoli, lirioresinol B dimethylethe and epi-magnoli A were 0. 34, 0. 55, 0. 50 and 0. 58 mg/L, respectively, while the linear range were within 6. 8-270 mg/L, 11-546 mg/L, 2. 0-101 mg/L and 2. 3-116 mg/L. The recoveries ( n=9 ) were 98. 2%-99. 5%, and the correlation coefficient were 0 . 9995-0 . 9998 . No significant differences were found between the quantitative results of external standard method and QAMS method. The developed method is accurate, feasible, and can be used for quality evaluation of Magnoliae Flos .
