In the treatment of 34 cases of radial nerve paralysisby puncturing the acupoints in Yangming meridians of the hand and foot, plus TDP radiation in the local areas after acupuncture, the total effective rate is 97.1%.

In accordance with the feature of apoplectic dysarthria, it is divided into three types of labial pattern, lingual pattern and laryngeal pattern.The therapeutic methods are respectively explained with case examples.

In the treatment of 169 cases of the patients sick with intervertebral disc hemiation by integrated application of acupuncture therapy,Chinese massage therapy and herbal fumigation method.the results showed cure in 129 cases.improvement in 33 cases and failure in 7 cases,and the total effective rate was 95.9%.

Purpose: To observe the clinical therapeutic effect in the treatment of enuresis by ginger-partitioned moxibustion plus cupping therapy. Methods: Ginger-par -titioned moxibustion was applied on Guanyuan (CV 4)and bilateral Zusanli (ST 36) and cupping therapy was applied on Shenque (CV 8) in the treatment of 82 cases of enuresis, in comparison with 76 cases treated by Chinese herbal medicine. Results: The effective rate was 84.1% in the treatment by ginger-partitioned moxibustion plus cupping therapy and was 64.5% in the treatment by Chinese herbal medicine. Conclusion: Ginger-partitio -ned moxibustion plus cupping therapy was better than Chinese herbal medicine in the treatment of enuresis (P ＜0.05).

By classification with syndrome differentia -tion into the three patterns of deficient cold in the lower energizer, qi deficiency in the spleen and lung and damp heat in the Liver Meridian, 43 cases of enuresis were treated by puncturing Baihui (GV 20), Guanyuan (CV 4)and Sanyinjiao (SP 6). After two courses of the treatment,the results showed cure in 28 cases, improvement in 13 cases and failure in 2 cases.

Needle embedding at the first region of ankle acupuncture plus fomentation was used to treat 18 orchitis cases. The curative rate was 100%.

In the treatment of 100 cases of prolapsed lumbar intravertebral disc mainly by electric acupuncture on Jiaji( Ex-B 2) plus traction, the total effecrive rate was 91%.

Purpose: To observe the clinical therapeutic effect of cold moxibustion on rheumatoid interphalangeal arthritis. Methods: 576 cases were randomly divided into 290 cases in the cold moxibustion group and 286 cases in the control group and were treated for two months. Results:There was no significant difference in the total effective rate between the two groups. But, at the end of the second course of the treatment, the complete remission rate reached 77.2% in the former group and only 23.4% in the latter group, with a significant difference between the two groups (P＜0.005).Conclusion: Cold moxibustion is better in the therapeutic effect for rheumatoid interphalangeal arthritis than anti-inflammatory agents of western medicine.

Purpose: To observe the therapeutic effect of acupuncture treatment for diabetes. Method:Based upon proper diet, 100 cases of patients with diabetes were treated with Pishu (BL 20), Shenshu (BL 23), Feishu (BL 13), Weiwanxiashu (Extra), Zusanli (ST 36), Sanyinjiao (SP 6), Hegu (LI 4), and Xuehai (SP 10) by electric acupuncture, with acupoints added or deducted upon syndrome differentiation.Results: Fasting blood sugar decreased in the patients after the treatments, with a significant difference (P＜0.05) in comparison with before treatment. And the patients with obvious symptoms decreased from 85% before the treatment to 4% after the treatment. Conclusions: Acupuncture treatment can reduce fasting blood sugar in the patients with diabetes and is also remarkably effective in improving the clinical symptoms.

Purpose: To observe the therapeutic effect of Tuina plus meridian therapeutic apparatus on scapulohumeral periarthritis. Methods: Thirty-five cases of scapulohumeral periarthritis were treated by Tuina plus Japan-made SSP meridian therapeutic apparatus in the observation group, and 30 cases were treated by single meridian therapeutic apparatus in the control group. Results: Certain therapeutic effects had been achieved in the treatment of scapulohumeral periarthritis in the two groups. But, there is an obvious difference (P＜0.01) in the curative rate between the observation group and control group,and the curative rated was remarkably higher in the observation group than in the control group.Conclusion: Tuina plus meridian therapeutic apparatus is an effective method for scapulohumeral periarthritis.
