This article introduces a new concept,named “dynamic functional design”(DFD)for the anterior guidance control of prosthe-ses.The concept was proposed from the deficiency of “digital smile design”as a complement.Four key points have been discussed to realize DFD in clinic by 1 0 real cases,and a new classification for anterior teeth restoration is presented according to DFD in this paper.

5.The design of anterior guidance for anterior prostheses

6.Posterior occlusion of implant and natural tooth-mixed dentition

7.Nursing care of 5 patients with Charcot's arthropathy undergoing rotating hinge prosthesis knee replacement

This paper reports the nursing experience of 5 cases of Charcot's arthropathy undergoing rotating hinge prosthesis knee replacement. The nursing care focused on psychological nursing, preoperative examinations, control of blood glucose and treatment of syphilis during preoperative period, as well as wound care, management of drainage tube, prevention of complications and early functional exercise during the postoperative period. All cases were followed up through 6 to 60 months. The short-term outcomes were satisfying. One patient suffered from periprosthetic femoral fracture at 23-month after the operation, and healed up eventually after open reduction and internal fixation.
8.Preparation and clinical application of a nose prosthesis by means of selective laser simtering and wax powder

Objective To explore the clinical application of reconstructing silicone elastomer nose prosthesis by means of selected laser sintering and wax powder PCPI. Methods Laser scanning was used to get the 3-D data of a nose model. Surfacere 10.0 etc softwares was used to reconstruct the nose by mirroring the digitalized model of absent nose. Selective laser sintering and wax powder was chosen to fabricate a wax nose model and the nose prosthesis made by silicone clastomer. Results Perfect silicone clastomer nose prosthesis was made for 2 patients. Conclusion This study suggests that the wax nose model and the new wax powder can meet the requirement of clinical expectation for maxillofacial prosthesis.
9.Clinical observation on 30 cases of advanced stage non-small-cell lung cancer treated by integrated Xinjia Shashen Maidong Decoction and radiotherapy

Objective:To estimate the clinical effect of integrated Xinjia Shashen Maidong Decoction and radiotherapy on advanced non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients.Methods:30 NSCLC patients were treated with Xinjia Shashen Maidong Decoction after radiotherapy for more than two months,then the clinical effect were evaluated by tumor-mass stable rate,symptoms,Karnofsky score and survival period.Results:Response Evaluation Criteria in Solid Tumor (RECIST) evaluation results showed that the effective rate on relieving tumor mass was 53.3%,stable rate was 86.7%.The symptom of cough was much relieved,with 56.7% effective rate and 93.3% stable rate.And effect on Karnofsky score was good,that effective rate was 56.7% and stable rate was 86.7%. Fortunately,the patients had a median survival period of 11 months.Conclusion:Xinjia Shashen Maidong Decoction enhanced the efficacy of radiotherapy and reduced its side-effects in the treatment of advanced NSCLC patients.
