World Science and Technology-Modernization of Traditional Chinese Medicine 2013;(8):1780-1782
This survey included 59 secondary researches of traditional pharmaceutical patent literatures. The analysis was made on statistical indicator of the amount of annual papers, authors, institutions, published journals and re-search contents. The survey revealed that in the field of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), the number of sec-ondary research of patent literature was on the increase, and the degree of concern of TCM patent was far more than others. This survey not only assisted the understanding of current condition of TCM patent literatures, but also held its development trend in order to apply it in the studies.

Objective To study the relationship between the washout speed in the contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) and the differentiation grading in pathology in patients with hypervascular hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).Methods Totally 271 patients who underwent complete resection for hypervascular HCC from April 2009 to December 2014 at Nanchong Central Hospital were included in this study.CEUS examinations were perfomred in all patients 2-3 days before liver resection.A timer on the ultrasound screen displayed the time elapsed since the saline flush was used to determine time to washout. The washout rate were categorized into four levels based on enhancement in portal venous phase and delayed phase. The differentiation grade and the washout speed were compared using Kruskal-Wallis test. Results All 271 (100%) lesions were arterially enhanced with different washout rate.Washout speed 1 was found in 19 patients (7.0%),while speed 2 in 157 patients (57.9%),speed 3 in 65 (24.0%),and speed 4 in 30,respectively.The washout speed had a significant correlation with the differentiation (x2=179.8238,P < 0.001).The faster washout speed, the higher differentiated.Washout speed 1 could distinghuish well-differentiated from the poor and moderately differentiated tumor. The sensitivity and specificity of preoperative washout speed 1 to identify well histologic grade were 98.0% and 77.8%,the positive predictive value and negative predictive value were 96.0% and 48.8%,and the positive likelihood ratio and negative likelihood ratiowere were 1.9 and 0.01.Washout speed 4 could distinghuish poor differentiated from well and moderately differentiated tumor The sensitivity and specificity of preoperative washout speed 4 to identify poor histologic grade were 24.3% and 97.0%,the positive predictive value and the negative predictive value were 65.3% and 61.3%,and the positive likelihood ratio and negative likelihood ratiowere were 3.2 and 0.7.Conculsions Washout speed can reflect the degree of differentiation roughly.Washout speed can effectively diagnose the well-differentiated HCC,but it is difficult for moderate and poor differentiated HCC.

Objective:To study the association of air pollution with health service demand of the elderly and middle-age patients with cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, and to provide a scientific ba-sis for development of environmental protection policy and health service policy of the Chinese govern-ment.Methods:This study included survey data on self-evaluated health, outpatient service demand and inpatient service demand of the patients with hypertension, heart disease and stroke in 62 cities of 1 7 provinces from China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study(CHARLS)in 201 1 and 201 3,and com-bined it with the data on the annual concentrations of inhalable particulate matter(PM1 0 ),sulfur dioxide (SO2 )and nitrogen dioxide(NO2 )of those provinces and cities.Conditional Logistic regression was car-ried out to assess the possible effects of air pollutants on self-evaluated health and health service utiliza-tion.Results:The results showed that turning points existed in the effects of concentrations of NO2 and SO2 on the health service demand of the patients with hypertension, heart disease and stroke. The inpa-tient service demand of the hypertension patients increased with NO2 concentration when it was lower than 35.1 μg/m3 and decreased with NO2 concentration for higher value.Self-evaluated health of the patients with heart disease and stroke decreased with SO2 concentration when it was lower than 63.8 μg/m3 and increased with SO2 concentration for higher value. In addition,no evidence was found for the association between PM1 0 and health service demand. Conclusion:Air pollution may have effects on health service demand of the patients with hypertension, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, and different air pollutants at high or low concentration may have different health effects.

Chinese Journal of Medical Instrumentation 2013;37(4):301-303
OBJECTIVETo investigate the impact of metal implants with different materials on radiation dose distribution based on film measurement method.
METHODSTitanium plate, titanium intramedullary pin and stainless steel plate were set into phantom and irradiated separately by 6 MV and 15 MV X ray from linear accelerator. Dose distributions derived from different materials metal implants were measured and analyzed by film dosimeter.
RESULTSFor 6 MV X ray, the maximum interface dose increments of titanium plate, titanium intramedullary pin and stainless steel plate were 12.3%, 15.4% and 20.3%. As the radiation energy was increased from 6 MV to 15MV, the maximum interface dose increment of the titanium plate rose from 12.3% to 15.1%, the maximum interface dose increment of the steel plate rose from 20.3% to 30.8%.
CONCLUSIONSMetal implants with different materials have obvious impact on radiation dose distribution. With the increase of the metal atomic number and energy of radiation, the degree of elevated dose also increases. These results suggest that correction of dose distribution is required for radiotherapy of patients with metal implants.

Chinese Journal of Medical Instrumentation 2013;37(3):166-177
This paper provides a method of positioning the ultrasound probe in MR system. Machining 6 slots or cylinder perpendicular to the ultrasound probe surface on the edge of ultrasound probe as markers, 12 central cylinder ends are chosen as positioning points. By calculating these positioning points' coordinates in MR's coordinate system, the coordinate transformation between the ultrasound and MR coordinate system can be computed. Furthermore, by taking advantage of redundant information, calculating errors can be reduced and the precision can be improved.

Chinese Journal of Medical Instrumentation 2012;36(1):1-3
The FPGA-based phased-signal generator described in this paper meets the requirement of massive output channels and high resolution of HIFU. After experimental measurements, this phased-signal generator can output 256 channels of phase signals and each channel has a phase resolution of 2nS. The phased-signal generator also has many other advantages such as simple implementation method and high reliability.
