The extracts of marine mollusks( Abalone, Aplysia, Sepia, Arcagranosa linnaeus, Cyclina sinensis, Myti-lus coruscus, Chlamys farrei, Meretrix meretrix, Ostrea, Sinonovacula constricta and Solen gradis) classified as poly-saccharides, proteins and peptides, possess the antitumor, anti-aging, and anti-bacterial activities. Cancer patients undergoing long-term chemotherapy usually suffer from the damage to vital organs, and resistances affecting the outcomes of chemotherapy. Therefore, it is imperative to search for anti-cancer drugs with low toxicity and high efficiency. At present, several marine mollusks are being studied. Summary on the antitumor activities of the marine mollusks extrats is presented, which might provide a basis for the development of marine anti-cancer drugs.

Objective To investigate the status and its correlation of knowledge,attitude,and behaviors related to Alzheimer's disease among community residents in Tianjin.Methods Convenience sampling method was used to select 140 rural residents aged 20～75 years old in Wang-ding-di community,then using a researcher-designed questionnaire to conduct knowledge,attitude,and behaviors survey.Results The knowledge score was(6.436±2.170)(0～16)points,and the correct rate of first symptom of Alzheimer's disease among people of different age,education level had statistical differences.Community residents held a positive attitude to patients with Alzheimer's disease,113 community residents felt Alzheimer's disease patients pitiful and lonely.Getting health knowledge about Alzheimer's disease among people of different gender,education level,monthly family income,presence or absence of chronic diseases had statistical differences.There were positive relationships between knowledge and behaviors scores,memory and knowledge scores,getting health knowledge about dementia and knowledge scores.Conclusions Community residents has low cognitive levels about Alzheimer's disease,and they don't take the appropriate health behavior,so the government should develop the health education about Alzheimer's disease in the community to prevent the disease.

Objective:To study the therapeutic effect of Liyanling granules on chronic pharyngitis. Methods:The chronic pharyn-gitis rat models were established, and administered orally for 7 days. The influence of Liyanling granules on the pathology of pharyngeal tissue and the contents of PGE2 , IL-1β and TNF-α were observed. The blood was withdrawn to detect the whole blood viscosity and plasma viscosity, and the anti-inflammatory effects were observed in two kinds of rat models:foot pad swelling induced by carrageenin and agar-induced chronic granuloma. Results:Liyanling granule could significantly decrease the levels of PGE2 , IL-1βand TNF-α( P<0. 05 or P<0. 01) and the viscosity of blood and plasma(P<0. 05 or P<0. 01), improve the pathological morphology of rat pharynge-al tissues(P<0. 05 or P<0. 01), inhibit the swelling of foot pad induced by carrageenin and the granuloma induced by agar in rats(P<0. 05 or P<0. 01). Conclusion:Liyanling granules has a certain therapeutic effect on chronic pharyngitis in rats, and the mecha-nism may be related with the inhibition of inflammatory cytokines PGE2 ,IL-1β and TNF-α and the improvement of blood rheology.

Objective　To explore the expression of Cav-1 mRNA,S100A4 mRNA and CD31 in prostate cancer (PCa) and their correlation with tumor metastasis and patient survival rate.　Methods PCa specimens (n =42) and adjacent tissue specimens ( n =12 ) from radical prostatectomy were obtained from January 2004 to May 2006.The mean age of patient was 71.6 ± 7.6 years ( range 58 - 86 years).According to Gleason scores,prostatectomy specimens were stratified into≤6 (n =17),7 (n =12) and ≥8( n =13 ) groups.Patients were classified as clinical stage T1 ( n =16),stage T2 ( n =9 ),stage T3 ( n =11 )and stage T4 (n =6).Patients were divided into PCa with bone metastasis (n =8 ) and PCa without bone metastasis ( n =34).Preoperative PSA levels of the patients were stratified into three groups: ＜ 4 ( n =4)μg/L,4-10 (n=10)μg/Land ＞10 μg/L (n=28).12 adjacent tissues 1 -2 cm away from tumor or another lobe of prostate were microscopically verified without cancer cells and were tested for comparison.The expression of Cav-1 mRNA and S100A4 mRNA were detected by Situ hybridization in 42 PCa specimens and 12 adjacent tissues and using CD31 for marking vascular endothelial cells,the tumor microvascular density (MVD) was counted.The correlation of Cav-1 mRNA,S100A4 mRNA and CD31 expression was analyzed in combination.with clinical and pathological fcatures including Gleason score,TNM staging,PSA values and bone metastasis.　Results　The positive expression rate of Cav-1 mRNA in PCa was 35.7％　( 15/42),while it was 0％ (0/12) in controls,P ＜0.05.The positive expression rate of S100A4 mRNA in PCa was 47.6％ (20/42),while it was 8.3％ (1/12) in controls,P ＜0.05.The positive expression rate of Cav-1 mRNA in PCa was positively correlated with Gleason score,TNM stage and bone metastasis.The positive expression rate of S100A4 mRNA in PCa was positively correlated with TNM stage and bone metastasis.The average MVD in patients of negative expression of Cav-1 mRNA was (62.8 ± 10.4)/mm2,and the average -MVD in patients of positive expression of Cav-1 mRNA was (83.5 ±6.7 )/mm2,P ＜ 0.05.While the average MVD in patients of negative expression of S100A4 mRNA was (63.3 ± 12.0)/mm2,and the average MVD in patients of positive expression of S100A4 mRNA was (77.9 ± 11.0)/mm2,P ＜ 0.05.The 5-year survival rate in patients with positive Cav-1 mRNA expression was significantly lower than that of with negative expression (46.7％ versus 85.2％,P ＜ 0.05 ),while the 5-year survival rate in the patients with positive expression of S100A4 mRNA was significantly lower than that of with negative expression (50.0％ versus 90.9％,P ＜ 0.05 ).　Conclusions　The positive Cav-1 mRNA and S100A4 mRNA expression,increased MVD are positively correlated with PCa progression and bone metastasis. Furthermore,Cav-1 and S100A4 in PCa may promote angiogenesis and cause tumor cells to bone metastases,which can reduce survival rate of patients.

In this studies, an anticancer peptide was isolated from the enzymatic hydrolysate of Mytilus coruscus.CCK-8 assay was used as guide in activity screening through the isolation process of membrane filtration, DEAEsepharose chromatography, Sephadex G-25 exclusive chromatography and RP-HPLC. An anticancer peptide was obtained and identified as Asp-Leu-Tyr.

Objective:To research the curative effect of moxifloxacin solution atomization inhalation in the treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) combined with respiratory failure.Methods:94 cases of COPD patients combined with respiratory failure from May 2014 to May 2016 were selected and divided into the control group(n=47) and the research group (n=47) acording to the lottery method,the control group received routine treatment,while the research group was treated based on the control group with moxifloxacin solution inhalation treatment.The curative effect,serum tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),c-reactive protein (CRP) and interleukin 10 (IL-10),creatine phosphokinase (CK),aspertate aminotransferase (AST) levels,the blood oxygen partial pressure (PaO2),CO2 partial pressure (PaCO2),APACHE Ⅱ score and occurrence of adverse reactions were compared between two groups.Results:After treatment,the total effective rate of research group was higher than that of the control group (P＜0.05).The serum levels of TNF alpha,CRP,PaCO2,CK,AST,APACHE Ⅱ score of research group were evidently lower than those of the control group (P＜0.05).The serum levels ofIL-10,PaO2 of research group were evident higher than those of the control group (P＜0.05).The occurrence of adverse reactions showed no differences between the two groups (P＞0.05).Conclusion:Moxifloxacin solution atomization inhalation was effective in the treatment of COPD combined with respiratory failure,which might be related to the inhibition of inflammatory response,and improvment of breath.

Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of needling a group of acupoints for choke plus rehabilitation training in treating post-stroke deglutition disorder.Method Ninety patients with post-stroke deglutition disorder were randomized into a treatment group and a control group, 45 cases in each group. In addition to the conventional treatment, the control group also received swallowing rehabilitation training, and the treatment group received acupuncture ata group of acupoints for chokeas the major intervention(Aqiang point, Zhiqiang point, Tunyan point, Tiyan point and Fayin point, all extra) besides the intervention given to the control group, both for 3 successive treatment courses. Before and after theintervention, the National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), Videofluoroscopic Study (VFSS), post-stroke swallowing scale of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) (TCM scale for short), and the occurrence rate of relevant complications were comparedbetween the two groups.Result The total effective rate was 97.8% in the treatment group, significantly higher than 84.4% in the control group (P<0.05); the scores of NIHSS, VFSS and TCM scale in the treatment group were superior to those in the control group (P<0.05);the NIHSS, VFSS and TCM scale scores in the treatment group were superior to those in the control group after the intervention (P<0.05);24 cases in the control group presented complications versus 8 cases in the treatment group (P<0.05).Conclusion Acupuncture at the points group for chokepredominantlyplus rehabilitation training can effectively improve post-stroke deglutition disorder and reduce the occurrence of complications, with satisfactory safety and consistency.

ObjectiveTo study the expression of transforming growth factor beta-1 (TGF-?1),platelet endothelial cell adhesion molecule-1 (PECAM-1,CD31) in prostate cancer tissues and their correlation with prostate specific antigen (PSA) values and TNM staging.MethodsUsing immunohistochemical method 36 prostate cancer specimens were tested for TGF-?1 expression, and using CD31 for marking vascular endothelial cells,the tumor microvascular density (MVD) was counted. Twelve normal tissue specimens were taken from the non-tumorous tissues adjacent to the prostate cancer as controls. The correlation of TGF-?1 expression and MVD with PSA values,TNM staging,pathologic grading and bone metastasis was analyzed in combination with the clinical data.ResultsThe positive expression rate of TGF-?1 in prostate cancer was 88.89%(32/36),while it was 16.67%(2/12)in controls, showing statistically significant difference between them ( P 20 ng/ml, MVD was (81.5?12.2) mm 2 ( P 20 ng/ml,23 cases had the TGF-?1 expression rate of 100% ( P

Objective:To evaluate the effects of rosiglitazone (ROS) on the expression of adiponectin receptors (AdipoR1 and AdipoR2) mRNA in gingival tissue and inflammatory factors,and on the potential of bone loss in the rats with experimental periodontitis.Methods:10 male Sprague-Dawley rats without treatment were used as the controls;40 were used for the creation of periodontis models and then treated by rosiglitazone at 0(periodontitis control),1,3,10 mg/kg(low,median and high dose groups) respectively 1/d for 4 weeks.RT-PCR was used to examine the expression of AdipoR1 and AdipoR2 mRNA in gingiva tissue.Levels of gingival TNF-α,MMP-9 and plasma adiponectin was measured by ELISA.CEJ-A was measured for the evaluation of alveolar bone loss by standard digital photographs.Results:The expression levels of gingival AdipoRl and AdipoR2 mRNA in periodontitis group is lower than that in the control group(P ＜ 0.01).The concentration of plasma adiponectin had no significant difference between control group and periodontitis group(P ＞ 0.05).The concentration of gingival TNF-α,MMP-9 in periodontitis group was significantly higher than that in control group (P ＜ 0.01).Compared with periodontitis group,ROS treatment increased the expression levels of AdipoR1 mRNA(P ＜ 0.05)and decreased the concentration of TNF-α in gingival tissue.Median and high dose treatment increased the expression levels of AdipoR2 (P ＜ 0.01) and the concentration of plasma adiponectin(P ＜ 0.05),decreased the concentration of MMP-9 in gingival tissue (P ＜ 0.01)and the alveolar bone loss(P ＜ 0.01).Conclusion:Rosiglitazone treatment may reduce inflammatory response and suppress the bone resorption probably through up-regulation of the expression of adiponectin receptors and decrease of the concentration of TNF-α,MMP-9 in gingival tissue.

Objective To observe the clinical efficacy and toxicity of intraperitoneal chemotherapy combined with intravenous chemotherapy in treatment of cervical cancer.Methods The experimental group of 40 patients received systemic chemotherapy of docetaxel and cisplatin combined abdominal intraperitoneal high-frequency hyperthermia in the control group,40 patients received docetaxel plus cisplatin chemotherapy,The efficacy and toxicity were observed.Results The complete remission rate of observotion group was 82.5％,significantly higher than 62.5％ in control group.Effective rate in observation group was 92.5％ and also significantly higher than 75.0％ in control gronp.After 6 cycles of chemotherapy,the improvement of the experimental group was 85.0％ higher than 57.5 ％ in control gronp.The differemles between the two groups was statistically significant(P ＜ 0.05); the main side effects during chemotherapy are gastrointestinal reactions,since the cells decreased,hair loss,the difference was not statistically significant(P ＞0.05).Conclusion The chemotherapy of docetaxel and cisplatin intraperitoneal chemotherapy can significantly improve the treatment of cervical cancer,without increasing side effects.
