Objective To correlate vWF expression in the endothelium of transitional pulmonary arterioles from lung biopsy in patients with pulmonary hypertension (PH) secondary to left-to-right shunt congenital heart defects (CHD). The results will be compared to vWF expression in peripheral venous plasma pre-operatively and the early post-operative outcome. Methods Consecutive 70 cases of left-to-right shunt congenital heart defects were involved in the study, the age ranged from 4 months to 63 years. Pulmonary systolic pressure/systemic systolic pressure (Pp/Ps) was calculated from Swan-Ganz floating catheter monitoring before corrective operation. PH was found in 62 cases, with slight PH in 16, moderated PH in 24 and severe PH in 22. Non-PH in 8 cases. Twenty-six cases of non-heart and lung disease were involved in as control. Lung biopsy tissue was stained for routine pathologic classification and quantitative vWF expression, with testing vWF in the peripheral venous blood. Post-operative complication was noted. Results There was a statistically difference of vWF expression in the endothelium of pulmonary transitional arterioles between PH group and non-PH group, with reducing intensity in order of non-PH, slight Ph, moderate PH and severe PH. Objective To investigate the relationship between transforming growth factor gene (TGF) single nucleotide poly‐morphism (SNP) and multiple myeloma (MM) .Methods The case control study was performed ,55 patients with MM and 55 healthy controls were selected .The genotype and allele detections were performed by adopting the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and the ligase detection reaction (LDR) respectively .Then the sequencing based typing was further conducted .Results There were no statistically significant differences in the two loci genotype frequencies ,allele frequencies and genotype frequencies in joint hap‐loid typing between the MM group and the control group(P>0 .05) .Conclusion SNP of TGF gene has no obvious correlation with the occurrence of MM and subtypes.

Objective: To analyze the phytosterols content in cereals and legumes commonly consumed in China, and to estimate the intake of phytosterols in Chinese people. Methods: 25 cereals and 16 legumes were chosen as samples. The content of ?-sitosterol, campesterol, stigmasterol, ?-sitostanol, campestanol were analyzed by GC methods and the total phytosterols were calculated; The intake of phytosterols in Chinese people were estimated using the data of “Survey on the Status of Nutrition and Health of the Chinese People” in 2002. Results: The content of phytosterols in wheat flour was higher than that in rice. The refinements of cereals will decrease the phytosterols content. Phytosterols content in soybean was higher than other legumes. The intake of phytosterols in Chinese people was estimated to be 130.76mg/d from cereals and 7.86mg/d from legumes. Conclusion: The analysis of phytosterols in food and the estimation of daily intake is valuable for chronic disease prevention. The higher consumption of wheat flour and legumes in diet is recommended.

The decreased occupational dose limit for eye lens has lead to an extensive focus on the eye lens dose monitoring and protection for occupational staff in interventional procedures.Based on the literature investigation of existing measurement and calculation results,the efficiency and influence factors of eye lens protective equipments for interventional staff are analyzed,and the suggestions for selection and use of them are provided.The main contribution to the eye lens dose to interventional staff is unshielded radiation which reaches the eyes directly.The key factors to inflence the efficiency of eye lens protective equipment is the geometric conditions such as structure,beam projection,position arrangement and operator postures,instead of lead equivalent thickness.Equipment of 0.5 mm lead equivalent thickness is enough to protect the eye lens of interventional staff.The combination of lead glasses and lead barrier can provide better protection in clinical practice.

With the Meta-analysis method, the clinical efficacy of acupuncture and other regular methods for aphasia was evaluated, and the acupoints selection for aphasia was explored. The acupuncture literature of clinical randomized control trials for aphasia published in CNKI, WANFANG, VIP and CBM database was searched; the statistical analysis of clinical efficacy of acupuncture and other regular methods for aphasia was performed by using software Revman 5. 2 provided by Cochrane library. A file of Microsoft Excel was established to perform the analysis of acupoints selection based on frequency analysis method, so as to summarize the characteristics and rules. Totally 385 articles were searched, and 37 articles those met the inclusive criteria was included, involving 1,260 patients in the acupuncture group and 1 238 patients in the control group. The Meta-analysis results showed OR = 3.82, 95% Cl [3.01, 4.85]; rhombus was located on the right side and the funnel plot was nearly symmetry, indicating the treatment effect of the acupuncture group for aphasia was superior to the control group (Z = 11.04, P < 0.000 01). The frequency-analysis results showed that the frequency of acupoints from top to bottom was Lian-quan (CV 23), Tongli (HT 5), Yamen (GV 15), Jinjin (EX-HN 12), Yuye (EX-HN 13), Baihui (GV 20), Yuyan II, Yuyan I and Yuyan III. The frequency of meridians from top to bottom was the governor vessel, extra channels, conception vessel, heart meridian and large intestine meridian. It is concluded that the clinical efficacy of acupuncture combined with speech rehabilitation training and medication treatment for aphasia is superior to that of speech rehabilitation training and medication treatment alone. The clinical treatment for aphasia focuses on its local effect; the main acupoints are in the head and face, and the meridians are governor vessel, extra channels and conception vessel.

Objective To investigate the risk factors,clinical and coronary angiographic characteristics in women less than 50 years with coronary heart disease(CHD).Methods One hundred and twenty-six women less than 50 years were divided into CHD group and non-CHD group according to the result of coronary angiography(CAG).Risk factors,clinical and coronary angiographic characteristics were investigated retrospectively.Results In 6395 cases who were given CAG in the corresponding time period,126(1197%)women were less than 50 years,and 44 cases were confirmed as having CHD by CAG[CHD group,mean age(46.8±3.6)years)].Meanwhile 82 cases were in non-CHD group[mean age(45.4±4.3)years)].The incidence rate of hypertension[77.3%(34/44)vs 26.8%(22/82)],diabetes mellitus[34.1%(15/44)vs 4.9%(4/82)],hyperlipidemia[43.2%(19/44)vs 7.3%(6/82)],family history of CHD[43.2%(19/44)vs 7.3%(6/82)],and risk factors of family history of CHD[52.3%(23/44)vs 12.2%(10/82)]had significant difference between CHD group and non-CHD group(P<0.01).88.6%(39/44)CHD palients were acute coronary syndrome,50.0%(20/44)lesion was one-vessel lesion.Left anterior descending coronary was involved most easily.The degree of calcification was lighter.The type.of lesion was mostly localized and segmented.Conclusions Hypertension,hypedipidemia,diabetes mellitus,family history of CHD,and risk factors of family history of CHD are the major risk faetom in women less than 50 years with CHD. The possibility of CHD is higher when having classical angina and multiple risk faetom.

Objective To explore the reliability and validity of the Chinese version of the 36-item Short Form Health Survey (SF-36) for evaluating the health-related quality of life of patients with chronic soft tissue pain, (CSTP). Methods Two hundred and ten CSTP patients were rated with the SF-36 and the Medical Outcomes Study Pain Measurement (MOSPM) instrument and retested 2 weeks later. The internal consistency, test-retest relia-bility and parallel validity of the SF-36 were analyzed. Results The SF-36 showed good internal consistency and test-retest reliability. Most repeated reliability internal correlation coefficients were between 0.44 and O. 66 (P≤0.01) except that of the SF sub-scale of the SF-36, which was O. 336 (P≤0.05). All the internal consistency Cronbach's a coefficients were >0.70. In the assessment of validity, there was significant correlation among all eight sub-scales of the SF-36, and between items 4-11 and total MOSPM scores. The correlation coefficients were between -0.145 and 0. 635 (P≤0.05 or P≤0.01), except between GH of the SF-36 and item 4 of the M OSPM (pain in-fluence on walking) and between MH and item 10 (pain influence days). Conclusion The Chinese version of the SF-36 has good reliability and validity in assessing the health related quality of life of CSTP patients.

Objective To evaluate the surgical techniques and short-term clinical results of simultaneous pancreaticoduodenum-kidney transplantation(SPK)with the enteric drainage(ED)of exocrine secretions of the pancreas.Method From Jan 2005 to Jun 2009,ten diabetic patients with uremia diabetes underwent SPK.The pancreas graft was placed intraperitoneally with exocrine secretions drained into the proximal iejunum by side-to-side anastomosis.The multivisceral cluster grafts(liver,kidney,pancreas and duodenum)were procured after simultaneously rapid perfusion with cool UW solution through donor's abdominal aorta and superior mesenterie vein in 10 no heart beating cadeveric donors.Quadruple immunosuppressive therapy with anti-CD25 monoclonal antibody,tacrolimus,mycophenolate mofetil and steroids was adopted.Results SPK was successfully performed in all cases.The mean warm ischemia time of donor organ was(5.9 ±2.6)min,the mean cold ischemic time of the kidney was(5.2 ±2.2)hours and that of the pancreas was(9.3±3.6)hours.Patient and graft survival rates were 90.0% and 90% at 6 month after transplant,respectively.None of the grafts lost due to enteric or pancreatic leakage or intraabdominal infection.The most common surgical complications were wound infection(n=3),and enteric anastomostic hemorrage(n=2),which were all cured by nonoperative management.Three biopsy-proven acute renal rejection episodes occurred within 12 months postoperation,2 of them were reversed Successfully.and 1 died of cerebral complication during the recovery from continuous renal replacement therapy(CRRT)after the failure of aggressive antirejection treatment.Other patients(n=9)became insulin-free euglycemie at(9.3±3.8)day postoperatively,and are well and insulin-free at a follow-up of 6～12 months.Conclusions High quality procurement of donor grafts and suitable arterioplasty are prerequisites for a successful combination kidney and pancreas transplantation.Enteric exocrine drainage by direct side-to-side anastomosis seems to be a simple and reliable technique.

Objective To evaluate the significance of serum 8-hydroxy-deoxyguanosine acid ( 8-OHdG) in the diagnosis of nonalcoholic steatohepatitis ( NASH).Methods Patients or healthy subjects were enrolled at the Second Hospital of Tianjin Medical University and the Second People ′s Hospital of Tianjin from May 2013 to December 2015.A total of 41 patients with nonalcoholic fatty liver disease were enrolled in the study , including 20 nonalcoholic simple fatty liver ( NAFL) patients and 21 NASH patients whose diagnosis were proven by liver biopsy.The other 32 healthy subjects were studied as controls.Serum 8-OHdG, ALT, AST and GGT were tested.Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease activity score ( NAS ) and expression of 8-OHdG in liver was investigated between NAFL patients and NASH patients.The correlations between serum 8-OHdG and serum ALT , AST, GGT, and 8-OHdG in liver tissue in NASH group were investigated.In addition , the receiver operating characteristic ( ROC) curve analyses for ALT and 8-OHdG levels were performed in NAFL patients and NASH patients , and the cut-off value was determined.Results Serum 8-OHdG values in healthy controls , NAFL and NASH patients were (0.19 ±0.16) μg/L, (0.22 ±0.16) μg/L, (0.42 ±0.21) μg/L respectively.The serum 8-OHdG and serum ALT, GGT and 8-OHdG in liver tissue were all positively correlated in NASH group with respective correlation coefficient r values as 0.454 7, 0.382 9, and 0.497 6.AUC of 8-OHdG was 0.901 with cut-off value 0.39 μg/L.Its sensitivity was 88.3%and specificity was 81.5%, which were higher than those of ALT.Conclusion The value of serum 8-OHdG would be used as a marker for the diagnosis of NASH.
