Medical Journal of Chinese People's Liberation Army 1982;0(03):-
Objective To investigate the influence of neuro-specific DNA repair gene Nbn on the development of granular cells in hippocampus of monatal mouse. Methods The hippocampus development of postnatal mouse was evaluated by comparing the morphological differences of granular cells in hippocampus between the Nbn gene knockout mice (Nbn-CNS-Del) and the controls (Nbn-CNS-Ctr). Serial sections, immunohistochemistry and stereology methods were used to quantitatively analyze the development of granular cells in hippocampus of mice on the postnatal day 7, 14 and 21 (P7d, P14d and P21d). Results In Nbn-CNS-Ctr group, the granular layer in hippocampus manifested "C" in shape, the section area of granular layer was increased, and so was the cell body of granular cells in hippocampus during P7d to P21d; the inner arm granular cells in granular layer of hippocampus emerged on P7d, and most obvious changes occurred during P7d to P14d. While in Nbn-CNS-Del group, the granular layer in "C" shape were seen to form in most of the specimens during P7d to P21d, though they were sparsely distributed. Compared with that of the mice in Nbn-CNS-Ctr group, the development of granular layer in hippocampus of the mice in Nbn-CNS-Del group lagged obviously, and the sectional area of granular cells decreased significantly (P

Objective To investigate the morphological changes during the development and aging of C57/BL6 mouse hippocampus. Methods Serial sections and stereology were used to quantitatively analyze the development of C57/BL6 mouse hippocampus at different growth stages. Results Hippocampus primordium first appeared at embryonic day 12(E12d).A "C" outline could be seen in the pyramidal layer of Ammon's horn(CA),and the extra-arm's blanket of the dentate gyrus(DG)'s granular layer formed at E18d.After birth,CA developed and maturated gradually. The blanket of DG's granular layer formed at postnatal day 7(P7d).At P21d,the inner arm's thickness of DG's granular layer was equal to that of the extra-arm,and the subgranular layer was present until month 15(15M).The increase of the volume of hippocampus,CA,DG and CA's layers was slow before P7,became fast from P7d to P14d and slowed down again after P14d,but became stable after 3M.Conclusion Mouse hippocampus is formed at E12 and becomes basically mature at month 3.The volume of aging mouse hippocampus has no obvious changes.

Objective To evaluate the value of SPECT/CT for detecting the causes of lumbago in post-lumbar spinal fusion patients. Methods From January 2009 to December 2015, 53 patients (31 males, 22 females, age: (42.3±5.3) years) with lumbago after lumbar spinal fusion, without positive CT and digital radiography (DR) findings, were included in this study and were further examined by SPECT/CT imaging. The final diagnosis was made according to clinical symptoms, multimodality imaging findings, and treatment outcome. All patients were followed up for at least 6 months. Results Thirty-eight patients had positive findings with SPECT/CT imaging, including 23 patients with screw loosening, 6 patients with lumbar fusion cage aseptic inflammation and 9 patients with impingement. The other 15 patients had negative results. The diagnostic sensitivity of SPECT/CT for detecting causes of lumbago was 71.7% (38/53). The diagnostic sensitivity and positive predictive value of SPECT/CT for complications caused by internal fixators were both 100% (38/38). Conclusion SPECT/CT scanning could be a clinical valuable tool for inspecting the cause of lumbago in post-lumbar spinal fusion patients.

Objective To study action mechanism of rhamnocitrin in Oxytropis Falcata on enhance the immune function. Methods Kunming mice were randomly divided into blank control group, model group, positive control group, traditional Chinese medicine high, medium, and low dose groups. All treatment groups received gavage with relevant medicine for 10 days. From the 8th day, blank control group received intraperitoneal injection with normal saline, while other groups received intraperitoneal injection with cyclophosphamide for 3 days. Through macrophages carbon clearance test, macrophage phagocytosis of chicken erythrocytes test, and immunosuppressive mice organ index detection, effects of rhamnocitrin in Oxytropis Falcata on nonspecific immune function of immunosuppressive mice were observed. Results Compared with model group and blank control group, traditional Chinese medicine high, medium, and low dose groups could improve the phagocytic activity of immunosuppressive mice, clearance index, and phagocytic coefficient (P<0.05), and increase the organ index of the thymus and spleen. Compared with the positive control group, the efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine high, medium, and low dose groups was low. Conclusion Rhamnocitrin in Oxytropis Falcata can enhance the immune function, improve the formation of spleen cells of mice serum hemolysin of chicken red blood cell immune.
