In this paper,based on the present situation of the pharmaceutical education in China,the author brings forward the challenge and opportunity to pharmaceutical education at medical colleges,and then gives us some helpful ideas to solve the problems.

Objective To investigate the value of the high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) with fluorescence detection of gastric juice in the diagnosis of gastric carcinoma. Methods After being super centrifuged, the supernatant of the gastric juice was chromatographed by reversed phase HPLC using C 18 column as the stationary phase and 20% methanol/H 2O as the mobile phase. The flow rate was set to 1 ml/min. The eluate was then detected with a fluorometer. Results 251 patients with different gastric diseases including 40 cases with gastric carcinoma were enrolled in our study. There were two characteristic peaks in the chromatograms, which appeared in both the benign and malignant lesions. The difference between benignancy and malignancy was the areas of the two peaks. Objective To assess the value of spectral CT in differentiating benign and malignant serous cavity effusion in vitro.Methods 41 plastic tubes filled with serous cavity effusion underwent spectral CT imaging.The gemstone spectral imaging(GSI)viewer was used to measure the mean CT values of water -iodine concentration, iodine -water concentration,monochromatic images(40 -140KeV,interval of 5KeV),140KVp QC,and EFF -Z. Slope of spectral curve was measured also.Based on clinical and pathological diagnosis,30 cases of benign and 11 cases of malignant serous cavity effusion were compared.The difference of the spectral characteristic parameters was evaluated statistically by independent -samples t test using SPSS 18.0.Results The EFF -Z,water -iodine concentration,iodine -water concentration,and slope of spectral curve[7.26 ±0.25,(1 021.82 ±6.37)mg/mL, (-3.23 ±1.53)mg/mL,0.26 ±0.12]of benign serous cavity effusion showed no statistically significant differences between the malignant group[7.31 ±0.10,(1 016.17 ±5.32)mg/mL,(-3.06 ±1.18)mg/mL,(0.24 ±0.10), t =0.652,2.016,0.332,0.482,all P >0.05 ].There were statistically significant differences on 55 -140 KeV between the two groups[(4.87 ±7.13)and (10.66 ±6.70),(7.17 ±6.48)and (12.71 ±5.94),(9.58 ±6.11) and (14.96 ±5.65),(11.63 ±5.97)and (16.77 ±5.52),(13.31 ±5.93)and (18.36 ±5.52),(14.66 ± 5.98)and (19.52 ±5.52),(16.06 ±6.06)and (20.90 ±5.63),(17.03 ±6.10)and (21.42 ±5.88), (17.58 ±6.12)and (22.29 ±5.59),(18.05 ±6.14)and (22.74 ±5.49),(18.52 ±6.17)and (23.19 ± 5.51),(18.74 ±6.20)and (23.33 ±5.46),(19.16 ±6.20)and (23.80 ±5.47 ),(19.30 ±6.26 )and (23.87 ±5.45),(19.57 ±6.26)and (24.19 ±5.48),(19.66 ±6.28)and (24.21 ±5.43),(19.92 ±6.31) and (24.46 ±5.44),(20.00 ±6.32)and (24.53 ±5.43),t =2.339,2.474,2.544,2.489,2.456,2.356,2.301, 2.060,2.231,2.223,2.206,2.161,2.188,2.138,2.162,2.122,2.114,2.104,all P <0.05].However,there were no statistically significant differences on 40 -50 KeV[(-5.51 ±11.82)and (0.96 ±11.59),(-0.41 ±9.77) and (5.75 ±9.85),(2.47 ±8.21)and (8.19 ±8.11),t =1.559,1.785,1.984,all P >0.05].The difference be-tween benign and malignant effusion was statistically significant on 140KVp QC also [(10.25 ±6.96,16.60 ±6.84) (t =2.601,P =0.013)].Conclusion Some spectral CT characteristic parameters especially 55 -140 KeV mono-chromatic images can differentiate benign and malignant effusion.Spectral CT maybe afford a new method to differenti-ate benign and malignant effusion.

Objective To present the development of the Naming test tool ( Huashan Naming Test, HNT)for Chinese cultural and by amnestic mild cognitive impairment ( aMCI ) and mild Alzheimer' s disease (AD) between the detection of memory decline,and to analyze the validity of its trial.Methods 100 normal elders from communities in Shanghai, 100 patients with amnestic mild cognitive impairment (aMCI), and 95 patients with mild Alzheimer's disease (AD) who received an education of junior high school or above and were evaluated by neuropsychological tests including mini mental state examination ( MMSE), auditory verbal memory test, Huashan Naming tests etc.8 cognitive tests.The groups of MCI and AD patients finished cranial MRI.100 items with HNT including 20 animals,10 vegetables,10 fruits ,20 tools ,20 household , 10 vehicles, 10 stationery.Results 1.HNT items to determine: 22 items were excluded due to the completion of the three groups were not significantly different; 8 items were excluded due to the completion of the normal elderly group was lower than 75%; 10 items were excluded from the analysis of variance Fvalue of the minimum value.The remaining 60 items,according to the size of the arrangement and completion rates were divided into two versions of odd and even, respectively HNT-Ⅰ and HNT-Ⅱ.2.HNT characteristics:in normal elderly group age, sex were found to had no significant factors affecting overall scores of HNT-Ⅰ and HNT-Ⅱ but level of education, MMSE score was significantly correlated (P ＜0.05).As cut-off score ≤ 26 for spontaneous naming of HNT,the sensitivities of HNT-Ⅰ for aMCI ,mild AD were 44%, 84% respectively, specificities were all around 84%; the sensitivities of HNT-Ⅱ for aMCI , mild AD were 56% ,83% respectively,specificities were all around 80%.Conclusion HNT is a Chinese cultural background,time-consuming short and good name validity test,and it is worth further promoting the application.

Objective To investigate the protective function and its mechanisms of eyclosporin A to immature brain tissue with convulsive brain damage. Methods 21-day-old SD rats were given lithium-pilocarpine to make the epilepsy model. Total 67 male rats had been investigated. Cyclosporin A (CsA) were injected three times at 6, 30, 54 hrs after model had been established. Three dosages had been chosen: 5, 10 and 25 mg/kg each time. The level of apoptotic cells, P-glycoprotein (P-gp), glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP) in CA1 area of hippocampus had been determined, and compared with the rats without giving CsA. Results Rats from epilepsy model group had higher level of apoptosis, P-gp, GFAP expression than those from pseudo-model group. CsA injection by dose 5 mg/kg each time for three times reduced the level of P-gp, GFAP. Model group and pseudo-model group were same. Both the interventions of CsA injection by 10 mg/kg and 25 mg/kg can reduce the level of P-gp, GFAP, however neither of their effectiveness was better than CsA 5 mg/kg each time. Conclusions Small dosage of CsA may protect the immature brain tissue from convulsive brain damage by reducing the level of P-gp, GFAP in CA1 area of hippocampus.

Objective Objective To analysis the clinical curative effect on elderly patients with choledocholithiasis by endoscopic retro-grade cholangiopancreatography ( ERCP) and endoscopic sphincterotomy ( EST) and discuss its clinical significance. Methods 256 patients with choledocholithiasis were collected for diagnosis and treatment by ERCP. The stone characteristics was mastered by ERCP and the pa-tients were treated with EST. Results Patients with choledocholithiasis were successful in 249 cases (97. 27%) for ERCP intubation and 239 cases (93. 36%) for stone remove. After EST,the stones were removed successfully at one time in 199 cases (83. 26%),2 times in 40 cases (16. 74%). 7 patients (2. 73%) with multiple diverticulum and papillary position poor by intubation failure were changed over to op-eration treatment. After ERCP,patients were performed endoscopic nasobiliary drainage (ENBD) 64. 44% (154/239). Pull out the drain-age tube of 90. 91% (140/154) of the patients after stones disappeared which was proved by angiography for 3~5 days. 14 cases (9. 09%) were performed second times to remove the stones due to the presence of residual stones. Postoperative complications occured in 15 cases (6. 02%) including 9 cases of acute pancreatitis and 6 cases of infection of biliary tract, and they were cured after 1 week of corresponding treatment. Transient increase of serum amylase occurred in 39 cases, and all of them recoveried after 3 days without special treatment. Con-clusion The results showed that ERCP ( or EST) were well tolerated by elderly patients with choledocholithiasis,and they were of obvious curative effect and quick recovery,which is worthy of promotion and application.

Objective To establish a gene diagnosis assay for spinal muscular atrophy(SMA) in children. Method Analysis of the survival motor neuron (SMN) gene in 19 SMA patients and in 21 normal controls were performed by using polymerase chain reaction - fragment length polymorphism (PCR - RFLP) method. Result Deletion of exon 7and 8 in SMNt gene were found in all 19 SMA patients, while no such changes were found in normal controls. Conclusion The SMNt gene exon 7 and 8 examine can be applied to SMA gene diagnosis, and the PCR- RFLP method have higher sensitivity and particularity to the SMA diagnosis.

Objective To explore the mechanism of insulin resistance regulated by fibroblast growth factor 21 (FGF21)and identify its role in oxidative stress.Methods High-fat diet-induced obese mice were treated with FGF21 ,and hepatic oxidative stress markers such as iNOS and insulin signaling molecules such as IRS-1 and Akt were assessed by Western blot and co-immunoprecipitation.Meanwhile,liver steatosis was assessed in liver sections stained with oil red O.Results Obese mice in FGF21 group showed reduced body weight,blood glucose and serum insulin levels,and improved insulin sensitivity as measured by glucose tolerance testing (GTT)and insulin tolerance testing (ITT)compared with obese mice in vehicle group.Meanwhile,FGF21 treatment in obese mice decreased protein expressions of iNOS and TNF-α,and increased insulin-stimulated IRS-1 tyrosine phosphorylation and Akt Ser-473 phosphorylation,indicating that FGF21 inhibited hepatic oxidative stress and restored impaired insulin signaling.Additionally,we found significantly reduced lipid accumulation in liver sections stained with oil red O in FGF21-treated obese mice.Conclusion Our results support the notion that FGF21 is an important regulator of insulin resistance and that FGF21 may reduce lipid accumulation in the liver,restore hepatic insulin signaling and improve insulin sensitivity in obese mice,at least in part,by inhibiting hepatic oxidative stress.Therefore,FGF21 has a potential value in clinical application.

Objective To analyze the registration and treatment outcomes of pulmonary tuberculosis (TB) between local and floating population in Panyu district in Guangzhou and provide equalization of basic public health services strategies to the prevention of TB.Methods According to the data from China Disease Prevention Information System of Panyu district, the patients between 2013 and 2015 were used for statistical analysis.The differences of treatment outcomes between local and floating TB patients were compared and analyzed by Chi-square test.Results There were 3,047 registered patients in 2013-2015 in Panyu district, the annual average TB registration rate was 68.13/100 000.1 476 of them were smear negative TB (48.44%);1421 new smear positive TB (46.64%);150 re-treated smear positive TB (4.92%).Among these patients, 2 202 cases were local pulmonary (72.27%), and 845 floating pulmonary (27.73%).There were statistical differences in the cure rate of new and re-treated patients (P<0.05).Instead, the treatment outcomes of patients with different registered residence showed no statistical difference (P>0.05).Conclusion Local and floating TB patients receive the same health service under the full process monitoring Panyu.It shows the equal basic public health services policy has come out with preliminary results.
