OBJECTIVE:To develop a HPLC method for simultaneous determinatio n of ofloxacin and dexamethasone ac?etate in compound ofloxacin ear drops.METHODS:The analysis was carried on a XDB-C 8 ,the mobile phase was composed of methanol-potassium dihydrogen phosphate(0.02mol/L)by gradient elution,the flow rate was1.0ml/min,the column tem?perature was30℃and the detection wavelength was at240nm.RESULTS:The detectable concentrations of ofloxacin and dexamethasone acetate showed good linear correlation in the ranges of100～500?g/ml and10～30?g/ml respectively,the av?erage recoveries of ofloxacin and dexamethasone acetate were100.6%(RSD=0.46%,n=9)and101.3%(RSD=0.72%,n=9)respectively.CONCLUSION:The method is accurate and reproducible and can be used for determination of ofloxacin and dexamethasone acetate in compound ofloxacin ear drops.

?Optic neuritis ( ON) is one of the most common causes of vision loss by neural eye diseases in youth and middle-aged. In the past, the diagnosis simply according to the risk position, which did not distinguish from the pathogenesis and clinical characteristics, can not meet the current clinical diagnosis and treatment needs. Combining with the etiology, clinical characteristics and prognosis, the latest classification of the current international diagnosis of ON are typical and atypical ON. Typical ON relates to multiple sclerosis ( MS ) or demyelinating disease of the central nervous system, it has a relatively good therapeutic effect and prognosis. Rather than, atypical ON has complex etiology, clinical manifestation, and the treatment and prognosis are also different. At present there are many international ON treatment guidelines with level I evidence-based medical evidence, but with different genetic background, geographical environment and ethnic groups, they are not been determined. China lacks of such a multicenter large sample, a wide range of research evidence. In this paper, we will summarize the progress of the diagnosis and treatment about ON, especially about the atypical ON, in order to provide some suggestions to further improve the standardization and individualization for clinical diagnosis and treatment on ON.

ObjectiveTo investigate the clinical features and risk factors of patient with Wegener's granulomatosis complicated with pulmonary infection.Methods Patients with Wegener's granulomatosis admitted to our hospital in the past 11 years were retrospectively analyzed.Comparisons between groups were performed by t tests or Fisher test.ResultsPulmonary infection occurred in 27 cases with an incidence rate of 29％.Twenty-six percent of pulmonary infections occurred at the initial diagnosis,and 44％ occurred within 6 months,while 30％ occurred later than 6 months.The clinical manifestations of pulmonary infection were productive cough (89％),hemoptysis (63％),fever and fatigue (56％),chest pain and pactoralgia (33％).The most common causative pathogen were bacteria(59％ ),fungi(37％ ),and tubercle bacillus(37％ ).Sinus infection(P=0.01),hypoproteinemia(P=0.03),hypoimmunoglobulinemia (P=0.007),and methylprednisolone pulse therapy(P=0.002) were the risk factors for pulmonary infection.ConclusionThe occurrence of Wegener's granulomatosis complicated with pulmonary infection is high within 6 months.The most common clinical manifestation is productive cough.The most common causative pathogens are bacteria,tubercle bacillus and fungi.Sinus infection,hypoproteinemia,hypoimmunoglobulinemia,and methylprednisolone pulse therapy are risk factors of pulmonary infection.

A research combined trickling filter system and active sludge aeration system was applied in the treatment of industrial wastewater from gas-generating with heavy oil. The wastewater contained both high contents of NH+4-N and mixed hydrocarbons including various PAHs. Its BOD5/COD ratio was less than 0.3 and belongs to recalcitrant, toxic wastewater. The results showed a touch-growth biofilms system was formed on the porous packing material and it played a key role in the decrease of toxicity of the influent. It could also improve the biodegradability of the wastewater.

A laboratory scale combination process of anaerobic baffled reactor(ABR) with sequencing batch reactor(SBR) for treatment of real dyeing wastewater was studied.The effects of operational conditions were investigated.The results demonstrated that removal rates of COD,colour and aniline were 32%~95%,89%~99% and 50%~98%,respectively,the effluents of COD were 30.0 ~97.1mg/L,colour were 8 ~40 times dilution ratio,concentration of aniline were 0.20 ~0.95 mg/L,which could meet the National Discharge Criteria(GradeⅠ) under the operational conditions of HRTs of 24~36 h,organic loading rates of 0.43 ~2.46 kg COD/(m~(3)?d),the influent pH values of 6.5~8.0,ambient temperatures of 20℃~35℃ at the ABR stage and DOs of 2 mg/L,reaction times of 3~10h,settle times of 2 h at the SBR stage.

OBJECTIVETo evaluate the effect of the platelet-derived growth factor-BB (PDGF-BB) on the phenotypic transformation of corpus cavernosum smooth muscle cells (CCSMC) in SD rats.

METHODSCCSMCs were primarily cultured in the modified tissue sticking medium and subjected to immunofluorescence assay. The cells were divided into a blank control and four PDGF-BB groups, the latter exposed to 5, 10, 20, and 40 ng/ml of PDGF-BB, respectively, for 24 hours, and the cells in the 20 ng/ml PDGF-BB group treated for 24, 48, and 72 hours. The the relative expressions of α-SMA, SMMHC, calponin, and OPN mRNA were determined by real-time fluorescence quantitative RT-PCR (qRT-PCR).

RESULTSThe α-SMA positive rate of the CCSMCs was over 95%. Compared with the blank control group, the expression levels of α-SMA, SMMHC, and calponin mRNA were significantly decreased (P < 0.05) while that of OPN mRNA remarkably increased (P < 0.05) in the PDGF-BB groups. The 20 ng/ml PDGF-BB group also showed significantly downregulated expressions of α-SMA, SMMHC, and calponin mRNA (P < 0.05) and upregulated expression of OPN mRNA (P < 0.05) at 24, 48, and 72 hours.

CONCLUSIONPDGF-BB can induce the transformation of the phenotype of CCSMCs in SD rats from the contractile to the synthetic type.

AIM To observe the clinical efficacy of Maixuekang Capsules (hirudin) combined with female progestational hormone treating blood-stagnated cryptogenic hypomenorrhea and their mechanism of action.METHODS Ninty eligible patients were randomly and equally divided into treatment group (Maixuekang Capsules combine with female progestational hormone) and control group (female progestational hormone),treated for three menstrual cycles,the menstrual blood volume,blood D-dimer,maximum platelet aggregation rate,the thickness of endometrium,spiral artery blood flow peak systolic velocity (PSV),resistance index (RI) and pulsatility index (PI) were recorded during the three months period.RESULTS The menstrual blood volume of the two groups were all increased post-treatments (P ＜ 0.05),the treatment group was superior to the control group (P ＜ 0.05);blood D-dimer and maximum platelet aggregation rate of the treatment group had reduced post-treatments (P ＜ 0.05),there was no difference in the two values of the control group between post-treatment and pre-treatment (P ＞ 0.05);the thickness of endometrium of the two groups were both increased after the treatment (P ＜ 0.05),while there was no remarkable statistical difference between the two groups (P ＞ 0.05);RI in the treatment group had remarkable reduction post-treatments (P ＜ 0.05),but there was no remarkable difference of RI in the control group (P ＞ 0.05);there was no statistical difference of PSV and PI in both groups before and after the treatment (P ＞ 0.05).CONCLUSION The combination treatment of Maixuekang Capsules and female progestational hormone can obviously increase menstrual blood volume,improve uterine blood perfusion and endometrial microcirculation.It has more advantages than use hormones alone.
